Observation notes On February 20, I observed an eight-month-old little girl named Genesis from the infant and toddler classroom at the child care center I work at. At 9:45 AM during outside time Genesis was sitting up playing with a bell. She was putting the bell in and out of her mouth and when she saw another toy she reaches for it and starts to hit it against the floor. At 10:00 Ms. Victoria (teacher) stands her up on her feet and Genesis holds herself up holding on to Ms. Victoria’s shirt so Ms. Victoria lets go of Genesis. Ms. Victoria then starts to talk to her and Genesis starts to smile and babble. When Ms. Victoria puts Genesis back down Genesis grabs two toys and makes a yelling sound so Ms. Victoria mimics her and Genesis repeats …show more content…
Genesis would stop and put herself on all fours position and would rock herself as if she wanted to move forward. She looked down to the ground and started to move backwards again. She then crashes into another baby. Genesis then starts to maneuver herself to face the baby. When she faces the baby’s face she pats it then puts her mouth on the child’s head and babbles. When Ms. Victoria saw Genesis, she said “Geneses, no honey” and Genesis turns her head to see the teacher. When Ms. Victoria moves Genesis, she starts to cry and Ms. Victoria sits her back down (10:30). Ms. Victoria then starts to sing to the children and Genesis stops crying and starts to rock herself back and forth. Ms. Victoria sang until 10:37 and started to read a book to Genesis and another child. Genesis looks at the cushion book and starts to take it away from Ms. Victoria. Ms. Victoria then gives her a book of her own and she looks at it and puts it in her mouth. At 10:45 when it was time to clean up to go inside, Ms. Victoria picks up Genesis making eye contact, Genesis starts to smile when Ms. Victoria said “it’s time for lunch” while putting …show more content…
They mostly came off as positive moods as she was smiling throughout observation. She did cry once but didn’t last long. When Ms. Victoria was singing, Genesis shows pleasure by rocking herself back and forth as if she was dancing. She also shows happiness multiple times. She smiles when the teacher stands her up on her feet, she seems to be happy when she pats the other child’s head and when she smiles at Ms. Victoria when she puts her in the buggy. The only time she showed a negative mood is when she started to cry when Ms. Victoria moved her away from another child. Although she did cry she stopped right away when she heard Ms. Victoria sing. In addition, she shows adaptability to change in routine. When it was time to go inside Ms. Victoria picks up Genesis to place her in the buggy and Genesis simply smiles at her presenting no signs of distress to continue
Thea wakes up first, so she wakes Lily up and they play on their floor for a while until Tom comes in and joins them, Toms says that it's good to let you child side out once in a while. Addison comes in the room and says that breakfast is ready and that everyone should come and sit at the table. Tom and the girl's go and sit at the table and it's full of food again.
This child observation was carried out at the ETSU Child Study Center, after an appropriate permission was taken. I arrived at the Child Study Center at about 7:50am on Friday November 13, 2015, and I was taken to the Cricket Preschool classroom for my child observation. When I got there, there was only one child present at the class, and when I asked the teacher if he was the only student in the class, she said the rest students were yet to come. So I began my observation of the child. For the purpose of this observation, I am going to call this child Dave.
Shes uses mood to describe Abdul’s mother, the main character’s mother, sadness and how she only tolerate her own whining. “Abdul rose with minimal whining, since the only whining his mother tolerated was her own” (Boo 208). Katherine Boo use
Usually they do not show emotions; Pa, during the birth of Noah, was so emotionally unstable that he had “pulled” and “twisted” his newborn son. So when the midwife arrived late, she “pushed the head back” and “molded the body” (85). Pa shows panic and stress; he could not handle all the emotions at once, so he became unstable. Instead of the men working, the whole family, men and women and children alike, work together to pay for food. At the peach farm, the men start picking first and then Ruthie and Winfield come too.
For example, when she was playing with a little girl at Chic-Fil-A, the little girl kept calling her “girl.” Aaliyah would respond “no, I Liyah.” I did not observe, at this time, what Aaliyah self-esteem is like. The only emotions I can remember she showed was happiness, excitement, frustration and sympathy. For example, she likes to do things on her own and gets frustrated if someone tries to help her. The way she handle her anger, sadness, and aggression is by pouting and going into her own little corner. Her least favorite thing is being told no. For example, while observing her I’ve notice she doesn’t like to be told no, and her patient level is low. Her most favorite thing is anything that’s fun. For example, when I was observing her at the carnival. It was time to leave her mother asked her “did you have fun?” She replied saying “yes, thank you mommy.” She does go to church, but doesn’t understand. Aalyiah knows the concept of right and wrong in the home. For example, when I was observing her she knew that the empty bag of skittles belong in the trash can and not on the floor.
I observed a three-year-old male child as he played in the playroom at a home daycare facility. The playroom consisted of various toys along with a jungle gym with a slide attachment. When the child arrived he immediately ran over to the slide, climbed up and slid down the edge of the slide. Even though there were other children on the slide, he did not interact with them. After coming off of the slide he ran over to an area of the play room that had a racetrack and a set of cars. He chose one car and rolled it down the track. He waved his hands up and down in joy as the car rolls off of the track. He looks around the room and sees a box of plastic bugs. He gets a couple of bugs out and moves them across the floor. He looks around the
After the children completed their homework Amber instructed them to go to their room. This worker, Amber, Bre’Asya and David went upstairs to the children’s room where they were given the option to watch or play on their table. David got the remote and chose to watch
From my understanding, Hesiod’s creation myth involves a story which attempts to explain how the universe comes into existence by introducing several individuals. I noticed that these individuals such as Gaea, Uranus, and Selene to name a few, are also gods and goddesses of specific elements which comprise the universe. Gaea is a female and is known as the earth and fertility mother while Uranus is a male and is known as the god of the elements sky, lightening, and thunder. Let’s not forget Selene who is female and is the goddess of an element called the moon. As a result, one may conclude that the earth is a female while the sky is a male and the moon is also female.
One of Rosaras emotions is frustration, because its frustration because Rosara had been yelling and arguing with her mother about letting Rosara go to her friends birthday party.
The play begins with Angel Cruz heavily praying to God; however, he could not preach the Lord’s prayer correctly because he does not remember the right verses which lead to his frustration. It was different to hear since there was cursing involved
“Leave Nick and Celia alone," I growled. "The DJ is here so let’s go to our room and change. We should be launching soon.” “Sam,” Celia called frightened and grabbed Nick’s arm tightly. “You didn’t tell me we were going to move.
At around 5:15 p.m. this worker arrived at Amber’s home. Amber and the children greeted each other with a hug and kiss. Amber then instructed the children to put their things away. Amber then provided the children with a snack. When the children finished their snack they wanted to watch TV and play with the toys they had gotten for Christmas. Amber told them they could go to their room
One of the first times that I remember her showing sadness in the play was after she got in a fight with bonce and then she sees a duck get shot dead by bounce which makes her sad and she begins to cry. Another time which was I felt kind of sad was when her mother collapses and she has to go get the doctor. She shows a lot of emotion in the doctor to see her mother even though they are closed. She has a sense of urgency that shows she is worried and when the doctor arrives and after he leaves she is hugging her father and is crying for her
There are two ways to score. One way is to score a goal by throwing the frisbee to someone in the goal zone, which is past the green line on both sides. Another way to score is to get the ball in one of the trash cans on the opposing side. There will be a ball and one frisbee, six people on each team will be trying to get the balls into the trash cans and three people on each team will be playing ultimate frisbee. The trash cans will have a circle around them indicated that you cannot go inside, including the people trying to defend that trash can.
Nothing really seems to bother him and he is mostly happy. He doesn’t talk much, thus, he also rarely expresses his feeling with words. If he is upset about something, he just stays extra quiet. If he is excited about something, he becomes extra smiley. If I had to categorize his emotional tone b color, I would say that he is blue, as he passes this feeling of serenity and peace when you observe him.
