Gale Smith, I concur with you eminently CEC and the NAEYC has distinctive objectives moreover NAEYC direction is student conduct although CEC provides educators guidelines regarding responsibility. The NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct was developed to uphold the application of core values, ideals, and principles to assist teachers’ decision-making about ethical issues. The Core Values of the NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct is based on the foundation of the field's commitment to young children. It is noteworthy that all seven of the Code's Core Values directly address our commitment to children:
The content competency I will be addressing is Standard 6: Professionalism, Criteria A. It states, “Adheres to federal and state laws, school policies, and ethical guidelines”. One thing that I have learned these last two years is my students are always watching what I do. No matter what the situation may be, they are always observing how I act, how I react, what I say, what I do, what I wear, and overall how I carry myself every day. Yes, they do look to me for educational guidance, but they also look to me as a mentor and role model. As a result, I must always make sure I am following all federal and state laws, school policies, and ethical guidelines not only so I
Some things change, some things stay the same. The National Education Association (NEA) adopted a code of ethics in 1975 (Strike & Soltis 2009, p. viii). While this code still upholds many concerns that educators face today, it is important to make sure that a code of ethics is a breathing document. It must adapt and change with the changing of time. Strike and Soltis (2009) reference the code of ethics quite regularly throughout the entire book. It is first introduced in full at the beginning of the book. Looking over the code, it is important to remember that much has changed since it was first adopted. While all of the code still applies, it is necessary to add to the code to make it acceptable for the twenty-first century.

NAEYC is the National Association for the Education of young children. The NAEYC standards are 1.Relationship standard is promoting positive among all children and adults and it is when all the children see it. The children want to have a relationship with their teachers who help children resolve conflicts and find their feelings. 2.Curriculum standard has a topic in these areas. Explain how the ethos, mission, aims and values of a school may be reflected in working practices.
For me, it may be more difficult to address the fourth point of NAEYC’s code of ethics that is to listen and learn from families. So often we are focused on engaging families and guiding them in their child’s development, that we actually lose sight of what insight our parents have to offer. It is important for educators to have a deep understanding of various cultures and practices in order to better serve and understand our families. It may be impossible to know everything about every single culture on the planet, but early childhood professionals can learn proactively about certain cultures and then conduct more research when new cultures or confusing aspects arise in the classroom. It is also important for teachers to be personally inviting to each of their students at the beginning of the day and take the time to listen about their weekend or a new toy that they were given. The classroom should also be physically and culturally inviting. A classroom should display representation from many different countries and personal cultures from the students. This display of representation may take the form of pictures or posters from various cultures as well as a wide range of books showing and celebrating diversity. The emphasis in the classroom should be to celebrate and honor
In term of actual success, defined here as earning a diploma, programs like CEC have been and continue to be the number one at-risk program model throughout the country. While the reasons for the success of the software-driven model may be debated, several advantages are clearly beneficial for the at-risk student:
A Nurse Educator’s curriculum is based off of objectives made by national organizations such as the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing and Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education that the school is required to teach. It consists of professional standards,
The program’s philosophy is based on the NAEYC’s guidelines on developmentally appropriate practices and Froebel, Piaget, and Gardner’s early learning theories. We believe that every child can learn and grow with the proper care and instruction. The NAEYC defines practices as developmentally appropriate when they consider age and stage related differences, individual differences in learning style and preferences, and social and cultural differences among children (Kostelnik, Soderman, & Whiren, 2011). For this reason we believe that the best way to ensure positive development is to adapt the materials, activities, and the mode of demonstrating learning to meet the varied needs of our students.

It is the school that expressed concern and by acting upon this they then completed and sent a Common Assessment Framework (CAF)
