I believe Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine will provide me with the type of osteopathic medical education I am seeking for a few reasons but specifically CCOM’s curriculum. CCOM’s curriculum is appealing because of its integrated nature with clinical symptoms through use of interactive presentations. As someone who learns best when presented with real life applications, CCOM’s curriculum will allow me to get the most out of my preclinical years. Furthermore, CCOM gives me the opportunity to start obtaining clinical contact in my first year of school at the Multi-Specialty Clinic. This early immersion into clinical training will prepare me for my clinical years of medical school. To add, CCOM is committed to patient-oriented health care.
I plan to go into the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program if I am accepted into this program. This program would be very beneficial to me because it would cut down the time I need to become a doctor and this way I would be able to help those in need faster. Also, it would provide me with a medical degree while also taking other classes in college. Being able to achieve two things at one time would be challenging, but I would also be guaranteed into medical school if I could a decent score on the MCAT. Overall this program would help me complete the dream I have always had. It will allow me to help those in need feel better. The Dual Admission Program will help me achieve a degree that will be rewarding because you can see the smiles on other people’s faces after you have helped
I am confident that the University of Connecticut School of Medicine is a respectable medical school that can prepare me for my future professional career in medicine by providing exceptional opportunities for my medical education. My interest in this instution lies on its commitment for innovative medical education aiming to prepare its students for their medical career. Therefore, the medical curriculum of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, M delta, caught my eye when I was exploring medical schools to apply since it was unique and I was certain that it was an interesting way to learn medicine.
Just a few years ago it opened its College of Osteopathic Medicine, making it a great place for aspiring surgeons and physicians to earn their medical degrees. The school's College of Health Sciences is also home to an award-winning nursing school where students can earn nursing degrees. Current nurses can also attend the nursing school to earn their Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing degrees. This program gives aspiring instructors of nursing the knowledge they need to teach the next generation of nurses vital skills. The College of Health Sciences is soon adding a physical therapy program to the course menu and a brand-new program for aspiring physical therapists to earn their degrees. The school offers a total of 38 undergraduate programs, including everything from theater to Christian ministry to mathematics. It also offers 10 graduate programs and two doctorate
I have spent the past four years developing my skills and knowledge to prepare me for medical school and eventually becoming a physician. Through these years, my dedication and maturity have shown to be at the level required to be successful in medical school. I am extremely passionate about practicing medicine and working along side of many other confident healthcare professionals. I believe strongly in Osteopathic manipulative medicine and the whole body approach. I am certain that Marian University will provide me with an excellent education in this philosophy, which I will utilize to begin and build a career practicing Osteopathic medicine. Marian University's location in the large city of Indianapolis will provide an environment to practice
After taking some time to read the university website and student testimonials, I was able to gauge my “fit” candidacy at Pikeville. Having traveled to the area previously to visit family has also been factored into my decision. It is the college’s involvement with the community that is most enticing to me. I participate in my own community and wish to continue community involvement while in medical school. The humanistic tradition and the intrinsic osteopathic philosophy held by Pikeville obviously resonate with me due to my interest in the osteopathic approach to medicine. These facets, delivered with a patient centered focus, are what I desire to provide for my patients in the future. The campus’s interest in delivering high quality
After completing an undergraduate degree, I will then pursue into a medical school. The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, LECOM, is an institution that interests me. LECOM is interested in students that have shown academic success within their science courses, and those who have proven themselves as a well- rounded student throughout all other academic courses. Applicants must complete a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university by the time of enrollment. Applicants must have a minimum 2.7 science grade point average. Successful candidates typically have both science
CCOM’s strong values and mission of the promotion of the practice of osteopathic medicine would provide me with the knowledge of the science of healthcare. But as we all know, knowledge is only part of what it takes to be a successful physician. I believe I can fill this gap because of my understanding of the art of healthcare. Knowing how to work with colleagues and patients is something that all physicians will be faced with. I believe being able to do this effectively has the ability to set you apart as a physician. Obstacles I've overcome in my life have laced me with compassion and a deep understanding of people and life's ups and downs. Being relatable when working with a diverse population of people is something that comes from experience
Where would the Air Force be today without its education requirements? Where will the Air Force be tomorrow now that everyone is held to a higher standard and more military members are pursuing their education goals beyond their Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) degree? I see my education goals spanning over the next five to six years. This will also build the foundation of a solid education which I can expand on throughout my life allowing myself to continue to grow as a person, a leader, and a colleague. I’ve recently achieved my first education goal which was to complete my CCAF Degree in Electronic Systems Technology. I am scheduled to graduate October 2015. Since completing my CCAF Degree My first education goal is to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Networks & Security by
The University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM) is one of nation’s leading and largest medical schools. Founded in late September of 1882 in Chicago, three additional campus sites at Peoria, Rockford and Urbana opened eighty-two years later. This medical school is unique since because of the large size there are many campuses that provide many opportunities to experience rural and urban populations. UICOM also one of the nation’s most popular medical schools for a PhD/MD program and I plan to do that dual-degree program in the future. The admissions process to UICOM is a yearlong process. Before applying, a student must have an undergraduate degree. The average grade point average was a 3.6/4.0 for admitted students. A student must also
I have a strong interest in the Chicago Medical School at RFUMS because of RFUMS’s unique learning environment.

I will research what each medical school has to offer and which school I think would be the best fit. Miller School of Medicine is associated with the University of Miami but I will research to find out what it has to offer research, and residency wise. Brody School of Medicine is located in North Carolina, which would be a reason to stay here. It is a newer medical school so is a newer or older medical school better? Baylor College of Medicine is in Houston, Texas making it an outlier but is one of the top research Universities in the U.S (Best Med Schools: Research. US News & World Report).
Arts education provides students with the building blocks for the development of experience, knowledge and skills across many domains including imagination, self-expression, communication, relationships and creative and collaborative problem-solving. Research suggests that the use of quality arts programs have been linked to enhancing students overall academic achievement, empathy towards others and engagement in learning (Russel-Bowie, 2006; Cornett, 2014). The inclusion of arts in the curriculum is a globally recognised concept, encompassing many different cultures and concepts. More specifically the micro-teaching experiences at the Lady Cilento Children’s Festival will be focusing on the area of performing arts including a combination
I think that a program transfer to the Faculty of Kinesiology would help me with my career goals because it seems like a much more streamlined approach to the medical field than the Science program here at UNB. As it is common knowledge that getting into medical school is a hard task, it just makes sense to give yourself the best shot at achieving that goal. Having courses that aim you in that direction help, as well as having the opportunities to go and see a medicine facility. Everyone that I have spoken to about
I want to attend Rush Medical College for the extensive student support resources, the opportune location, the practitioner-teacher model of education, and the preventative medicine department. Rush Medical College’s Career in Medicine Program offers the necessary support and counseling that I will need to get the most from my medical education. My main goal is to become an excellent primary care physician working with underserved communities in a diverse and urban setting. With this in mind, Rush Medical College’s metropolitan location will allow me to establish myself in an area conducive to achieving my objective. In addition, the practitioner-teacher model will provide the applied education I need to become an outstanding clinician. Lastly,
