What is America’s gift to our generation? If you ask anyone in America this question, they must ponder about for a long time. Why? Because this question has a different meaning to each one of us. America’s gift may be freedom, or it may mean safety. Although, each of us may have a different answer to this question, we all owe our thanks to the same people and place: America and its veterans. Without our veterans, we would never have such as great place to live and survive in. Without America, we wouldn’t have the freedom, opportunity, and safety that we take for granted. America’s Gift to my generation, when I think of that statement I think about how grateful I am to live in this amazing country. This country has so many images red, white and blue. From the skyline of New York City to the hills of tennessee the traditions in Chicago. The pride in Los Angeles. Cross Country to Washington D.C to the National Archives building. The building of tradition, pride, joy and most of all freedom. America’s Gift to my generation we take for granted all the opportunities we have.

America’s gift to my generation is not just a physical gift, but a mental gift. The physical gift is the safer place to live and grow. This mental gift that America gave to my generation is a deep feeling that you can go around and be who you are, dress in what you want, say what you want, and basically do what you want without being restricted to doing one thing each and every day. America’s gift to my generation is the ability to grow, learn, and live life the way you want to without a limit. If you look at America compared to other countries it’s like a whole family, and America is the one that all the other siblings go to for help or a safe place. America might not always be safe but we can always count on all our amazing, brave souls

There was once a little boy who always dreamed of a place being better than where he was. He dreamed of going to school each and everyday and not getting to work at such a young age. He had high hopes of being someone in life like a doctor or a lawyer. But he could have never fulfilled that dream because of expenses. He had always heard of the Great Americas, so one day he said well i'll go check out how great the Americas truly are. That one young man was my Father. He had came to the United states to work and help maintain his family of (12) in Mexico. My father's story is a true sad story that I can probably talk about forever. But the real question asked here today is what makes america great.

Americas gift to my generation is technology. Technology can be a phone, a computer, TV, etc. Some perceive technology as evil and others perceive it as upright. Technology can be used for learning what you learn in school. Also, technology can be both for learning right and wrong.

88% of people in the US graduate high school, 59% of people in the US graduated college, but 100% of people have the opportunity to graduate. The reason I showed you the statistics is because every one can graduate high school. But not all people do so that's why I showed you that. The whole thing matters because everyone needs the education. If you have the opportunity for a good education then take it, like how my mom dropped out of college and now she doesn't have a good job to pay some bills alone. America’s gift to my generation is education.

What does this say to you? I think this says loud and clear that Americans all have the same freedoms no matter the color.

One gift that America has given to my generation is a sense of safety. Here in America, we don’t have to worry about terrorists gunning down random people in the street as people do in some other countries. We don’t have to worry about a civil war. We can thank our veterans and active members in the military

There are good gifts there are bad like clothing on Christmas when you wanted something else but it’s not those type of gifts. Now we are talking about the gifts that have been earned through war and tough decisions. The American soldiers that fought for our rights that have allowed us to become the strong country today.All the wars that we have won some lost but we have the strength needed to proceed.The American gifts that we are so thankful to have include technological advances,a strong national government,and the life,liberty,and the pursuit of happiness to live and prosper today.

Their are so many things that America has given to my generation, one of the most important, and bigger things to me is our freedom. The first way that America fought for our freedom was in 1775 through 1783 when America went to war with Britain. Britain was controlling the U.S, raising tax payments, and Britain gave the Americans lack of representation, America fought and gave our generation, our freedom from Britain. Another example from America giving my generation freedom was in 1861 to 1865, for the battle of African American freedom.
