However, only few civilizations have actually used mythology to write about the “truth”, one of them being the people of the ancient Japanese civilization. The truth is a representation of how each civilization views the beginning of the world and how it affects the civilization today. Although some parts of mythology seem outrageous and clearly not based on scientific fact, there are evidences that prove some events mentioned within mythologies have actually happened seen in present day Japan. Japanese mythologies have incorporated historical truth into their mythologies. This is important because understanding the past allows for cultural development in the future.

Mythology is a term widely used for the study of myths, the stories, the beliefs, the understanding of the world through certain aspects narrated in oral tales to teach values and ethics to the society. However, one does not find myth in contemporary times rather it is a subject of the past of which no one is a witness. These mythical tales have been passed down through generations never actually knowing the origin of its creation. Myth usually has connotations of falsehood, unreasonable, irrationality which makes the stories and the past related to it a mere lie or fiction. But if myth is fictitious, then how could it serve the purpose of educating the masses about moral values and ethics?

Many of the television shows and movies that we watch today are connected to ancient mythology in some way or another. There is usually a hero, a villain or two, and all the supporting roles that when all are brought together, make up the movie or television show one is currently watching. But what a lot of people do not take into consideration when watching movies or television shows, is that the hero is always fighting for love or fighting out of love; and the same could be said for ancient mythology. There is love in every story out there, it is all around us, but most people do not see it because they are not watching the movie or television show, or reading the book or story for the love aspect (although some stories were written solely for the love factor).
