Political culture is considered in 5 countries, these 5 countries are Germany, Italy, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the United States. The German political culture was known for the political expectation for governments to ensure a degree of social welfare, business and labor corporatism and a multiparty system dominated by conservative and social democratic forces, with a strong influence of smaller Green, liberal and socialist parties. The Italian political culture is conducted through a constitutional republic in which it has a multi-party system. It is no secret that America’s political culture, comprised of a set of common values, attitudes, and beliefs, centers mainly around ideals such as liberty, equality, democracy, and individualism. Those ideas originated from the separation of our nation from England, as well as the convictions of our founding fathers. But are the political cultures of other countries the same as America’s? China’s, for example, is very much different. When discussing the values that make up her political culture, harmony, respect, and loyalty are predominant.

To me, being an American is independence to do what you wish to do. In a country, where we have weird clothes, mumbling singers, and horrible presidential candidates, that’s what we have now chosen to like and live with, except nobody likes the candidates. But the fact that knowing you won’t get punished or be judged too harshly for the choices you make because, we have the freedom to make those choices, and to be as happy as we wish. Overcoming tragedy and standing up for what believe, punching other countries in the face if they get too arrogant or powerful and in our way, to show we are still the powerhouse, not taking any lip and showing we are the best, is American to me.

The United Kingdom and the United States ideologies are in no way the same! Or are they? If one were to ask a stranger off the street to compare the United Kingdom to that of the United States, you would hear “it’s no way the same”. Although there are many different stances each disagree upon, there are just as many beliefs the United States shares with its motherland. In this essay, we will cross-examine the ideology and political culture in the United States and United Kingdom and compare on how they coincide and differ from each other in hopes to shed light that perhaps we’re not so different from one another.

The term, “political culture” is a concept which defines certain accepted “political values” of most people living in a given country. As applied to the United States, list and explain at least two shared political values that most people, regardless of race, creed, national origin, in the US share. Something that I believe everyone share regardless of race, National Origins and, creed is the Freedom of Liberty, the right to be free. As long as other people right aren 't abused. Another thing that everyone shared in the United States is Democracy. The right for individual legal age citizens to elect any candidate for Offices. Citizens have Equal opportunity to select their officials thoughtfully and wisely. Another political culture in the United States is equality "equality of opportunity". Equality of opportunity is a specification that all people should be treated similarly, no prejudices or preferences. Although many citizens are still debating about the Equality of opportunity in the U.S, I believe that we are well off comparing to other counties,whose used democracy as a voting system as well. One more example of these value in a broader aspect is the American dream. Many people may believe that the American dream is not a political culture but I believe that the American dream is a political culture.
