What Are The Reasons For Grand Canyon's Popularity

The State of Arizona is widely known for its dry western weather, beautiful scenery and cactus plantations spread over wide expanses of rock and desert. This makes for the traditional wild west territory. This picture is painted best in Tucson, a bustling city of 1 million that is set against awe-inspiring mountains. Tucson is Arizona's second largest city after Phoenix and has a rich Mexican-Native American heritage and history stemming from its occupation by native Indians. Many people have traveled through this city since its inception in the 18th century. From French merchants to Anglo-American frontiersmen to Indian tribesmen, Tucson can boast a rich and diverse heritage.

Most people think that the Providence Canyon which is also known as "Little Grand Canyon" should stay a state park. Well, I believe that it should become a national park. There are so many things that the park would make better if it were a national park.

The Providence Canyon is located in the southwest of Georgia's Coastal Plains. It was nicknamed Georgia's " Little Grand Canyon" because of the beautiful sandstone formations found in that area. The people that have visited this canyon think that it is a beautiful place to go that you can even camp in it. The Providence Canyon was once a forest, but that all changed in the 1800 when farmers moved in the area and started growing crops. There are several things that travelers can see while they are at this little grand canyon.

Here are some reasons that the government should make Providence Canyon a national park. The first reason I think they should make it a national park is because it could help students learn more about it and it could help them in the future. Another reason is that people could go there to see the amazing sites and to be entertained. The last reason I think the government should make the Providence Canyon a national park is because it is very historical and it needs to be shown off to the world.

On the south rim of the Grand Canyon there is many different points to stop at. The one that stood out the most was the Desert View Watchtower, or as I call it “The Castle”. The watchtower is four stories high, and you are to climb 85 steps to get up to the top.  When you make your way to the top you see these beautiful pictures a Hopi artist drew on to the walls of the tower. Climbing those narrow staircases up to the top you get this breath-taking view when you finally get there. Looking out at the Grand Canyon you get to see the Colorado River and its beauty, the millions of years of rock erosion that once used to be covered in water, and the little greenery that lines the top of the Canyon. People in the U.S. know little about the Copper Canyon. It's about 4 hours from El Paso, so a weekend trip to the canyon would be easy peasy. Due to drug violence in Chihuahua, the fear is higher than the draw of the canyons. The canyon draws a large Mexican crowd on the weekends, but few Americans. Until the drug violence goes away, the American crowds will remain small

However many believe that it should be recognized and made a national park. There are many reasons to support this decision. There is various types of wildlife, it could also be good for education on erosion and rock formations, and it would be good for the economic purposes because it is engulfed in tourism every year. This is why many believe that Providence Canyon should be made a national park.

Alaska is known for its breathtaking view of the Northern Lights and the large bodies of water that surround this deserted state. It is also well known for its scenic parks, rugged mountains such as Mount McKinley which holds the highest peak in North America, and Mount Katmai which is known for its volcanic eruption in 1912. The state is also known for the Gold Rush. Alaska may not be the most populated but it certainly has some of the most beautiful and scenic views.

What is more surprising is the fact that in 2012 more individuals were deported then the sum of all the individuals deported before the year 1997 (Golash-Boza). Mass migration of illegal immigrants began with the end of Keynesianism and the beginning of the neoliberalism. The ramifications of Neoliberalism has not only affected the us economy, but U.S. laws that directly influences the well-being of illegal immigrants.

Has anyone here ever, heard the words, Smoky Mountains. If so, then they are either referring to my National Park, or Global Warming. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the only National Park that has Geysers that spit up smoke. It also is the only Park with an excessively long name. Now you may be wondering why the Great Smoky Mountains are great. You can look around, to find a Park that has a nice place to Camp, Fish, have a Picnic, but almost all of them are either uncomfortable, have no maps, really, really close to the edge of a cliff, or, you may just want to find a different place.
