Many events lead up to World War II in Europe starting with the Treaty of Versailles. Germany was crippled by the repayment extremely large sums of money that they had to repay to after World War I. The government couldn’t function which left its economy shattered and people hungry. Adolf Hitler came into power because he presented hope to its people. He detested the Treaty of Versailles that placed on Germany. He slowly began to take over Austria, Czechoslovakia and many other countries. He rearmed Germany to begin the big fight. Japan even grew larger by taking over Manchuria and China. Italy took over part of South Africa. Eventually they all joined forces against France, Britain and America. The Great Depression caused many economic downturns to many countries in Europe, which left them open to dictators to begin World War II. …show more content…

Instead they assisted Britain against their fight with Germany. The United States government passed a Lend Lease Act that supported military in allied countries for war. America only wanted give support and participate in war. On seventh of December nineteen forty one Japan manipulated United States + the war. Japan was able to take more territory in Southeast Asia and Pacific capturing thousands of Americans. America was able to take back much of the territories by strategizing a step by step bases with military with taking back crucial territories in the Pacific. In November of nineteen forty two America and Britain invaded North Africa by forcing the German soldiers to surrender and soon conquered Sicily. D day was America fight that began on June sixth nineteen forty four where General Dwight Eisenhower that lead two hundred soldier American, British, Canadian, on land and in sea. Over million soldiers soon followed conquering Germany and which freed France and Russia from
