John F. Kennedy was born on May 29, 1917 in Brookline, Massachusetts. He sadly died at the very young age of 46 on November 22, 1963. Growing up, his family was fairly wealthy as his father dealt with the stock market and economics. After John F. Kennedy grew up, he joined they navy and was a gunboat pilot in World War II. He received battle wounds during the war and after his deployment he was awarded with a purple heart.

Kennedy had many accomplishments during his short presidency. One of these accomplishments was in regards to the Cuban Missile Crisis. He played a lead role in figuring out how to settle this with the Soviet Union. He also abolished the federal death penalty in 1962. He initiated Project Apollo which ended up accomplishing landing the first humans on the moon between 1969-1972!
Lastly, he played a large part in stopping racism and segregation. He showed a lot of love and sincerity with this and the American people appreciated and admired him for that. He highly disagreed with segregation and focused on civil rights towards the end of his election. On June 11th, 1963, he delivered a televised speech stating his beliefs and presented a proposal for a new bill to be passed. This bill would later be called the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
On November 22nd, 1963, President Kennedy had traveled to Dallas, Texas to participate in a motorcade that was traveling to Dealy Plaza. He was sitting with his wife, Jacqueline on the back of a convertible followed by his Vice President, Lyndon Johnson behind him. While he passed the Texas School Book Depository, Lee Harvey Oswald set up a sniper post on the 6th story of the building. Oswald allegedly fired three shots at Kennedy, one missing him and two striking him in the neck and head.
