For fans of the Star Wars franchise there are two names everybody knows: Anakin Skywalker and Luke Skywalker. Both have major roles in the movies and although they're different they're quite similar in many ways. They both grew up in the harsh desert world of Tatooine which orbits twin suns. Anakin and Luke had top swordsmanship; Anakin defeated Count Dooku in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, while Luke defeated Darth Vader in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. Obi-Wan Kenobi trained Anakin after the death of Qui-Gon Jinn and he mentored Luke until his death by Darth Vader.

"Star Wars" was arguably the first in a new breed of high concept, high budget sci-fi action films. It was directed by George Lucas and originally released in only a few cinemas in 1977. However, the buzz around the film grew, and it is now one of the highest grossing films of all time, and along with its sequels, prequels and re-mastered re-releases, has a large cult following. I feel this is because of Lucas` ability to engage the audience through careful use of sound and camera technique;
The central character appearing in all six movies in the Star Wars saga is Darth Vader, who is formerly known as Anakin Skywalker. He is the protagonist in the prequel trilogy, but one of the main antagonists in the original trilogy. The films tell the story of Anakin Skywalker as a Jedi knight who turns to the dark side of the Force. Darth Vader is the father of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. He later sacrifices himself to save his son, Luke.
George Lucas or the man I hope we would know by now as the creator of Star Wars, in various occasions has credited Campbell’s theory of the monomyth as the inspiration for his intergalactic series of films. It is quite easy to pick out many of the structures of a monomyth within the films. Often this popular example is used in classrooms when teaching the monomyth since it makes it easily relatable to younger audiences. By 1975 George Lucas had written two drafts for Star Wars and even though they were already written up and completed he felt they were lacking. He knew his drafts lacked

They both take place in the far reaches of the galaxies, on unique planets with imaginative and distinct species. In both series the planets are united in some way, Star Trek has The United Federation of Planets and Star Wars has the Galactic Empire. They both have a ship that they are famous for, Star Wars has the Millennium Falcon and the Death Star while Star Trek has the USS Enterprise. Each ship has similar means of transportation, Star Trek has warp drive where Star Wars has Hyperspace.
George Lucas' film Star Wars There are many different theories to Star Wars, which attracted millions of viewers. These theories made Star Wars what it was, and to some people still is. Made in1977, it was the first of it's kind by being new, using aliens and special effects, Star Wars created a large audience. Then it was re-released twenty years later, after improvement in special effects and another character was added.
Close connections can be made from Greek Mythology into pop culture, especially into fictional stories such as Star Wars. Introduced to the world in 1977, Star Wars was a cultural phenomenon that took the whole world by storm. It broke new ground in cinematic storytelling, visual effects, and what a director could do with a film, paving the way for many other great films to come. The world of Star Wars is also rich with history and lore, and a lot of that can be connected to Greek Mythology. Two main characters in Star Wars are Luke and Leia Skywalker, twins who are separated at birth but eventually reunite on their journeys to defeat the dark side.
All of this to say Star Wars was a major part of my life. And in many ways, I can credit these three films being one part of what got me so passionate about movies. In fact, I give them a lot of credit.
The First of the three part series, Star Wars, is the tale of a band of
We are delighted to have the opportunity to examine Star Wars because we feel intimately connected to the film and all that it represents. We grew up with R2D2, C3PO, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, and Chewbacca. We dressed up like them for Halloween, we played Star Wars games for countless hours, we imagined ourselves using their futuristic technology, and now we want to study how this artifact has affected our society and how it might affect our future.
