In order to improve the shipping and handling process for the custom surgical packs, I feel that the first step should be evaluating the exact amount of inventory needed for one day operations. Once the exact amount has been accounted for, APH’s management department can use this data to help reduce the quantity of packs in the buffer from one day supply to smaller a number of packs, thus decreasing the expense. This action helps circle back to the main functionary goal of the JIT method, which is the elimination of waste within the company/organization
I am requesting relief on the Residential Surcharge fee for this customer. Penn Mutual & Janney Montgomery Scott have been pro-UPS for many years. I personally have worked with both accounts for over 15 years. Although Janney dual-sources, UPS carries 90% of the small package transportation. Janney will continue to dual-source due to the strike years ago and also the threat of the upcoming labor negotiation in 2018. That being said, our partnership has been strong and I continue to make inroads at both accounts. They utilize many UPS solutions: UPS TrackPad, CampusShip,

I don’t have an issue discontinuing the practice of doing monthly physical counts on 100% of the inventory and going to a random, cycle count procedure where small numbers of items are counting over time with a goal of cycling through the inventory quarterly. I would request that the managers provide documentation to Bill of the items counted, even if it doesn’t result in an inventory adjustment. This can be done in a quick email identifying the items counted each week and the results of those counts. The purpose would be to document the cycle count process as part of our internal control of inventory. Much like we do on the upholstery side, Bill could supply a summary of the items counted in a given time period and the results of those

Christina, that is so true. The sales reps are the face of the company and this plays a very crucial role in building customer loyalty with the company. The clients do not know anything about your company so the sales reps are going to be the first impression of what your company has to offer. So it is vital that the sales reps are knowledgeable on all the company’s products and policies and ensure they are able to follow through on their promises. A good sales rep will listen to the concerns of each client and will try their best to accommodate the customer’s

STEVENSON was only interested in attending the Governors’ conference because he did not like the idea of the reestablishment of the BROYLES COMMISSION. It was said that his first task that he wanted to complete was to speak to Hoover in order to convince him to meet with two members from the American Legion, which would include Illinois State Commander Lawrence J. Fenlon. Hoover was able to understand where STEVENSON was coming from he went so far to inform STEVENSON to “beware of amateur Red-hunters, citing several examples of bumbling counter-subversives who had interfered with the Bureau’s sophisticated internal security operations” (53). Many people were lobbying for the BROYLES COMMISSION to be reintroduced, but something more important came up, which was the issue of the investigation into state educational institutions. During the meeting in February of 1951 STEVENSON and many other state governors that
This report demonstrates the current financial situation for the Stratton Township Park and makes recommendations for the annual program budget for the next fiscal year. We first show the current annual budget program, indicating line-item details for each function by account and summarizing the park budget as a whole. Second, we find the break-even points for the golf course green fee and the pool admission to determine what the park would have to charge in order to cover expenses of the these operations. Next, we calculate the marginal revenues and expenses to determine the impact of shutting down certain programs in the park. Lastly, this report prepares the revised budget for the upcoming fiscal year based on our recommendations.
The disease process I will be reviewing is traumatic brain injuries. A traumatic brain injury occurs when sudden trauma occurs to an individual’s brain. More and more each year we seem to experience what can only be stated as a growing talent shortage throughout all departments of our company; so starting today we will be implementing a comprehensive change to our strategies for finding exceptional talent. According to Winston & Gallagher (2014), a ManpowerGroup report shows that 36% of managers in all industries are reporting a major shortage of the talent pool and have come up with several ideas on how to correct this issue. We are a small city trying to compete with large cities such as Houston, Dallas, and Austin just minutes and hours from our front doors. So starting today we will implement what will be known as the “Woodlands Initiative” that will play off the incredible lifestyle available here in The Woodlands Texas.
During this unit, we learned about polynomials, projectiles, and the history of the Civil War. These were all tied together in our project where we pretended to sink the USS Cairo by calculating what it would take to fire a cannon at such a ship. We tested these calculations after measuring various values through a water balloon simulation from an elevated position with a trebuchet. Then after we re-ran the calculations with error analysis adjustments and real values we got from our trip from Alabama. So we applied new concepts in physics and math to a real life situation to cement our learning.
