It has always been my intention to further my education as an artist as either a commercial artist or a graphic artist. I feel that I have found what it is that I initially want to do for my future through Stevens Henager College. I chose the profession of a Web Designer because I have an interest in putting together sites and being creative. I feel I would be very good at Web Design and that I can learn how to be effective in my work for my future clients and for my future boss.
I would like to work for a company that is strong, has great working ethics, good morals, excellent values and truly appreciates their employees. To me that is far more important than any amount of money or benefits. I do want to make a substantial
Literature began to change drastically in post-revolutionary America. Newspapers, books, and other material got influenced by the newly created democracy. Different interest groups appeared and they attempted to shape the government according to their ideas and visions of democracy. A New Yorker born in 1783 by the name Washington Irving was raised in this world of democratic fanaticism. Growing up in this type of atmosphere it wasn’t surprising that he came to be a political satirist. In Rip Van Winkle this satirical nature of Irving clearly shines through. He mockingly compares the colonial life under the rule of the British against democratic life in a new and young United
I am interested in applying for the acting apprenticeship for the Commonweal Theater Company for the 2017-2018 program. I am a recent graduate of Carleton College, with a degree in Biology, but I have always had a passion for theater and the performing arts. I started dancing when I was 4, was in my first play when I was 8, was a competitive cheerleader and performed in musicals in high school. When I studied at Carleton I danced for student-led ensembles, choreographed for musicals, sang in choir, took voice lessons, and acted in student films and faculty-directed plays. However, like any performer, I faced rejection along the way. I knew that if I wanted to succeed I could never let the dismissals get to me, though sometimes this was harder than others.
I want to be a part of Arts 360 because I believe this will allow me to greater understand, and expand my understandings and opportunities in the art field. I find my love of art to continually grow as I experience and learn more about various aspects of the field. I want to grow in my understandings of arts administration. I would like the exposure to see the various jobs and tasks that are within arts related fields. I really want the opportunity to network with people from diverse artists and creators. Also, I love that this program will allow me to meet other peers who share a love and appreciation of the arts. The art field is so competitive, so to join a group where everyone wants to succeed at their craft is
I’m currently working for my family-owned business and hold a Bachelor of Science in Economics. My original intent was to become a consultant or working for the federal government. It didn’t take long for me to realize that I wanted something else, something in the creative realm. I always saw repeated openings for UX/UI position when searching for new jobs. It piqued my interest and I spent some time researched about the position and the industry. I chose User Interface Design because it was a good mix between technical and artistic skills. I’m looking forward to exercise my creative abilities while learning how to use new software and technology. It gave me a real peace of mind when Career Foundry also offered career advising and job placement guarantee.
I plan to graduate in May 2017 with honors. My goal after graduation is to find a job working at a graphic design firm and also freelance in hopes of opening my own small business one day. My philosophy is in order to have more I must to do more; therefore I have to take advantage of every opportunity. When doing more than what is expected I believe I will eventually be rewarded. I am very determined that in ten years from now I will have a successful business. I am a self-motivated individual with the ability to adapt quickly. I make no excuses and complete every task to my best
The characteristics of Uranus are vastly different from the ones on Earth, as Uranus cannot support any form of life. There is much to Uranus that makes it impossible for us to live on. Things such as temperature, the atmosphere, and it’s distance from the sun. The atmosphere has gases that make it impossible for us to live on. Since there are so many gasses that we cannot tolerate, there is a minimal amount of oxygen on Uranus. In fact, the whole planet is a gas giant, which means it is completely made of gas. Therefore, no life form would be able to live on Uranus, due to the fact that you cannot walk on Uranus.
This class has overall been one of my favorite classes that I have taken over the past four years five years at DeSales. I learned more than I expected and have implemented some of these learned lessons towards simple excel calculations into my work at my job. For my chosen project, I decided to take a look at one of my hobbies. During my senior year I took a personal finance and discussed with one of my professors about my collection of trading cards. The result of this conversation, had me start thinking about the overall value of my collection for insurance purposes and if I ever sold the collection.
I enjoyed working with them on editing their clinical vignette posters in order to create well-designed posters that had a clear message. I would like to continue this work by developing interactive web content and animations. Currently I am learning Javascript, which I have used to develop animations as well as create more accessible websites with interaction for those with disabilities. I love being able to take the web applications that my programmer colleagues have developed and making them look good as well as available to any person regardless of their abilities. I am passionate about continuing to learn about this and with courses such as Video Game Design or Haptics and Augmented Reality, I feel like I can achieve this. Working as an illustrator and web designer for the past several years has taught me the importance of an impressive body of work when entering the field. After meeting several current students and seeing their current work as well as the past work from the program, I am confident that this program will lead me to accomplishing my
Minimum of two years commercial experience in print design, with experience in an advertising/design agency highly desirable.
Before I can achieve a degree, I must commit to my studies. Education is the strongest foundation in any career. As it stands, I have taken interior design, architecture, and all levels of art including AP studio art, which I am currently enrolled in. My Advanced placement and honors classes have
For my identity project, rather than being creative by tying my identity to something symbolic or creating an extended metaphor, I realized the best route for me was to write a paper. This wasn’t because I was too lazy to find some sort of creative outlet, but I thought that the best way for me to evaluate my identity is by telling my coming out story and how it was affected by my identity and eyedentity. I tried to think of some way to make this creative, but I realized that the best way to do this would be by just writing about my experiences, and then talking through it.
Some other inexpensive attractions in Chicago are the different museums and exhibits scattered around the downtown area.
I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to write my desired future based Master Program in Software Engineering. A passion to achieve expertise in Information Systems Management is the objectives to my Graduate Study. It would help hone my skills, earn proficiency and seek professional exposure.
