During this year, I learned many things and a lot of skills through the content we have learned this year. I learned how to measure, graph, and lab skills like measuring, mixing, and stirring. I also learned how to be ready for a test or quiz. Many skills I learned this year was through our Science Night project. Skills like how to research and write will come in handy for many things in my future. I think the skill I worked on the most was my ability to create tools to help me on tests. I was able to create many study guides and sets of notecards to help me be ready. Before this year I mostly just read my notes to myself but never tried to explain it to someone or myself. Also, I started drawing more things like the cycles

This year I learned what was important and what was not important through the help of Roseanne saying that most of the notes I took were useless to humanity. I do think I can still work on this though because I still take some not needed notes. At the beginning of the year, we started with the Watershed unit. To be honest it was not my favorite unit but I did learn a couple thing about watersheds. I learned about conservation practices and what a watershed was. We then moved onto learning about cycles like the nitrogen, carbon, and Water cycle. I know that the nitrogen cycle creates protein and that the carbon cycle creates glucose and that the water cycle is involved in these cycles. The carbon cycle is almost like photosynthesis because both of these processes create glucose, a sugar that is needed for everything to survive. Once we learned about these cycles, I figured out how they all connect because plants need all of these cycle products to survive. It also lets plants give things for other organisms. In the Science Night Project, I and my partner, Maya, experimented with adding coffee grinds to soil. The coffee grind that affected the growth the most was actually decaf coffee. Now I know that when I grow plants add just a bit of caffeine but …show more content…
I learned eukaryotic cells have a nucleus and prokaryotic has no nucleus and plants and animals are prokaryotic. I also figured out how all cells work together and create something bigger. Cells working together create tissue and tissues creating organs and organs create organ systems and then it make an organism. Also, drawing the cells and the parts of a cell helped me on the quiz because we needed to draw and remember the parts of a cell. When we started the microscope drawings it was not my favorite because drawing and sitting around is not very fun for me. Nevertheless, I did learn important skills on how to use a microscope for the future. I think this will give me a head start over others kids who have to learn how to use a microscope when I can start my work right away. I did think looking at some things under the microscope was pretty cool because of the weird and vibrant patterns but overall it was not my favorite. The last thing we learned in science this year was how water works. We learned the chemistry of water and different properties of water like cohesion, adhesion, surface tension, solvent properties, and pH. We also learned about the density of water and
Fourth, I learned about microbes growing and how they grow. In lesson 5, I learned about all life on earth form a single table. One the first page lesson one starts we label some creeks lakes and geysers. We also, learn what percentage of yellowstone is in Montana Wyoming and Idaho. After that in lesson 1 we learn how many things are in
The first day showed how well the class worked together to follow the directions. While looking over the new safety procedure for this lab, I realized that I had already broken a rule by bringing a drink into class. I had to end up throwing it away before I could begin the lab. Throughout the class Mr. Monk showed us where everything was located. After finishing the lab, I remembered how to use a microscope. It was fun finding the different organisms on each of the slides. As a class we went through three different types of organisms. We learned how to tell the difference between organisms by seeing how much life each one had.
This semester I have learned many things. In this program Virtual Child I learned, loving your infant does not mean you need to smother the child. Letting your kid fail is good for them. I learned about milestones children should reach at what ages. I know the doctor asks if the child as accomplished certain milestones but being aware is also really important. So the parents can notice and point it out to the doctor that
It really surprised me that all my hard work in that class paid off in the end. If I can go back and do something differently I would turn in my work to the best of my abilities because I would always turn work that wasn't in the format or sometimes I wouldn't try my hardest to complete the work and after I saw the impact it had on my grades I started to care more and try to do the best I can to do my work and complete it to the best of my abilities. The most interesting thing I've learned so far would be about adaptations in biology it was very interesting to learn how animals can adapt to their environment by having certain features and I like the biology topics in general they are always so interesting and cool. The most important skill I have learned so far is to always have a great mindset and you will always do your best, If you put your mind towards what you want you will always succeed and get what you want. For Semester 2 I want to continue to be a productive learn and to keep up the good grades that I maintained during Semester
I learned that I can make a difference in the community by even spending a weekend volunteering. Many people thanked me for my time helping out, and that made me really happy people appreciated it. I made a few more
Throughout the semester in this class I have learned many valuable things. Each topic that we learned every week helped me understand the process of human development in a very clear and enlightening way. I believe that every subject that we covered will somehow be able to help me throughout my life and I may not be realizing that it is. This semester, I really enjoyed covering three different topics: nature vs nurture, IQ scores, and the effect that relationships have on development.
I learned with time how to properly instruct, motivate, and inspire those in my section to achieve greatness. Being honest and open with my peers has been a crucial aspect in my success as a section
I have learned how to ask better questions and to talk to my teachers when I need help or do not understand the concept well. I make sure that I have a relationship with my teachers and introduce myself at the beginning of each semester. Learning how to communicate with my teachers
I have learned to be confident with myself and in what i have to say. In addition, the heavy school load I take on has taught me time management, how to handle stress, and how to study so that I get the most out of the information
Throughout this semester reading about different ways of interpersonal communication I came to the realization that there were many things I could work on to better myself as a person. Things I never thought about in depth until taking this class. Areas I have improved on throughout this semester are using I language more than the use of you language, what empathy was and how I choose to become better and lastly how I deal with conflict.
It also allowed physical processes to be viewed. These included binary fission, which is the replication of a cell (prokaryotes are asexual) and the overall internal working of the
What did I learn in physics this year? Physics reveals how our surroundings operate or don’t operate. I learned how a microwave oven uses rays with a smaller wavelength than a lightbulb. One thing I learned about physics is that it’s all based on math. Having a math disability puts me at a disadvantage against all other students. I understand material better especially if the lesson is taught to me one-on-one and I also don't have a very good memory which doesn't allow me to remember material as fast and easier as others. Let me start off with I know about physics.
I did learn a lot at first semester. First and the most important things that I think I learned is that time-planning which helped me organized the time well which dragged me out of the mass life, at least I know what I need to do and never forget and late for the homework. In my opinion, organized time well is important no matter on study or in lives which can always inform us what we need to do and what time is available for us to do other things that make life more orderly. Besides, I also learned how to use resource that afford by school. Before the facilitator told me those resources, there had so many things that I have no idea who could help me. After knowing this, I felt like open a door that to a continent life for me. I have to say that there have so many resources for me in school, I can do anything with the help of them and which really makes me feel easy
In my conclusion, we see all the different things that make up biology and how they are all connected. From the beginning of life, the cell has always played an important part on how
What I didn’t learn from my highschool class is how to properly set goals. I didn’t know that there was a process and I didn’t realize how helpful it is writing down goals and physically seeing them. I was able to learn S.M.A.R.T goals which helps you structure your goals to a achievable standard. I also learned the different types of goals like long term, short term, and immediate. I learn how important goal setting can be and how it helps you better achieve them.
