Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. He had an older brother named Roy Disney and his dad was Eli Disney. He always dreamed of creating something big when he was older. As he became older he began creating characters. He created Mortimer Mouse which later became Mickey Mouse. He also made Oswald, Donald Duck, and many others. All of the characters he made were animals with a name. Walt Disney along with Roy Disney built two theme parks. Walt Disney died on December 15, 1966 in Los Angeles, California. Walt and Roy Disney created an empire of theme parks, movies, and memorable characters from a recreation of a fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm.

As always in the entertainment business, there are going to be people competing to tear each other down, but Walt Disney kept his focus and determination to take on great things. Disney used stories like these to show children and adults that they can achieve whatever they set their mind to as long as they try. Characters like Pinocchio and Cinderella were great example setters. Pinocchio taught love for fathers and achieving a goal through hard work Cinderella taught about love and happy endings. Disney took time to appreciate his hard work. He once stood in a spot in Disneyland for one hour greeting guests and taking it all in (Lenburg). The special thing about Disney was that he loved what he did, and his positive attitude inspired others to do what they love.
