Where can you eat 10 ice creams a day, fly through the air like a bird, and chat with mice and ducks? On a Disney Cruise! This spring break my family and I enjoyed the trip of my lifetime where we had lots of fun on the ship, visited Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, and were delighted by phenomenal entertainment every night. Our ship, the Disney Wonder, was unbelievable! It had 10 decks accommodating 2,400 passengers and 945 crew members, most of whom were from foreign countries. Our waiters were from the Philippines and Spain, and the one from Spain spoke Spanish to me! On deck 9, they had a self-serve ice cream station that was open 24 hours a day. I think I ate 20 ice creams in a matter of four days. (Whoa!) The boat has a gigantic water slide on the top deck and multiple pools. When I went to the teen club, Edge, my sister and I led a flash mob – an episode of random dancing -- on pirate night. We dressed up like pirates and performed the opening act for the pirates and characters. I also participated in bingo and my dad won an insulated lunch box with other small goodies inside. …show more content…
We started the day with an uplifting hour of parasailing. My mom and I were strapped in a double harness facing backwards on the back of a moving speedboat – quite frightening! Then, in a matter of moments, we were off and up in the sky. Surprisingly, it was very peaceful. As I looked down, I could see the rocks because the water was so clear. The air was so still that I could use my regular voice to speak with my mom. After the parasailing, we strolled to the beach. My friends and I swam out to the splash area with water slides. We also took cool pictures in the crystal clear water with an underwater camera. After an eventful day at Castaway Cay, we headed back to the ship to dress for the show and
alt Disney's movie has always been my favorite even at the age I am now. So now you probably wonder, " what does this have anything to do with why I should recommend you to English 101?" Well professor, Walt Disney is the creator of the world's largest animation empire as we all know today, but at first, in 1991 Disney was fired from the Kansas City Star because from their perspective; he lacked imagination and does not provide merit ideas to the team. Moreover, from Albert Einstein to the successful author Stephen King today, many of these influential figures failed many times before they could even reach success. The 19th best- selling author Stephen King had been rejected thirty times before he convinced his publisher to finally publish

As a child I grew up watching cartoons that dated back to almost the early 50’s, shows like Mickey Mouse and Friends and movies like Marry Poppins. It was always a wonder how a drawing could somehow come to life and who was responsible for it. As I grew older I soon found out the person responsible for the amazing productions I grew up watching and it just so happened to be a guy by the name of Walt Disney was behind it all. Walt Disney was a pure innovator with one the wildest imaginations that has helped him pave the way for modern animation. Walt Disney possessed an imagination that people could only dream of and with that he has continuously changed the concept and production of animation.
One sunny day, my parents decided to leave me in a camp on the cruise ship, so they could go and explore the rest of the cruise on their own. I arrived at the camp dorms with my dad.

While I was on the cruise I was able to go zip lining in Jamaica. Which was my favorite explosion. We went on a bunch of different zip lines. My favorite part of the excursion was my bus driver. He took us to the zip line course, he was always cracking jokes and took us on his bus through Jamaica for shopping. So we could buy souvenirs and other cool things from Jamaica to take home to the US. Which he didn't have to do but did anyway because he was a swell guy. He showed us a famous bar/restaurant and stayed with us the whole time we bought souvenirs and other things from the stores. He told us who were the good people to talk to were and who the good people to buy from and kept us away from the bad people. We got to experience a lot of
The next morning, we all woke up early, ate a nice breakfast, and headed to day one of Disney! Even though our house was within walking distance, we drove, wasted thirty minutes and thirty dollars parking, and found the front gates. After we were through security, we walked into the happiest place alive, and headed to our first ride. Disney is amazing. Besides being packed in like sardines, and the extremely long wait lines, it's amazing. My most favorite ride on the Disneyland side was without a doubt Space Mountain. I'm not a roller coaster type girl, but this was beyond incredible. The wait time was 240 minutes. Four hours! Luckily for us, we go the fast pass down quick, and only had to wait about two hours. It was the longest wait i saw both days we were there, but it was totally worth it! The ride is a outer space themed indoor roller coaster. It’s in a pitch black environment with strobe lights and blowing air, which makes it seems like it is going so much faster than it actually is. Really unexplainable, but so wonderful. I also had my first churro and dole whip when I was there, Disney staples. The next day we went to Adventureland, the second of the Disney parks. The most memorable ride in that park was Soarin’ Over the World. The ride lifts up to a huge screen, and flies over clouds and goes to different parts of the world, the whole time not only could I see it and feel the “wind” but I could also smell what was happening, for instance the salt water over the ocean or the dirt when the elephant started to stomp. It’s something that has to be experienced to really appreciate it.
The cruise Every summer my husband and I go on a cruise for a whole week. Outside the cruise you can hear the waves with its soothing sound hitting the boat. Inside the ship to the right there are some tables full of food. The smell of pizza from a mile away is a tentation, and then you hear a voice and your mind calling "Come closer, taste me". Also they have variety of cookies and you can taste it by just sniffing the air. It's such an amazing experience, it feels like you are on a private floating island with 3000 people that you will have so much fun. On the upper deck in the back of the boat there's a party for all adults, me and my husband always dance until we get tired and our feet hurt. At midnight
My most memorable vacation was on a family cruise to the Bahamas. We boarded a large cruise ship, was given our cabin number and we were set for the week. On board there were so many different activities like a Kid’s Club, all you can eat food, a pool, mini golf, stores, casinos, etc. The activities like the Kid’s Club kept me beyond occupied all week. We did stuff like scavenger hunts around the ship, mini golf tournaments and at the end of the week we had a party in the ship's party room with a DJ, food, and all of our friends.
Everything was so different there. There was palm trees scattered all over the island, sandy beaches, and so many tents with homemade stuff selling itself. When we first got there we decided to go shopping first and pick up some souvenirs. We got paintings, dresses, and many more things that we know we would want to have later in life. After we were done shopping we went to Margaritaville to eat on the beach. As soon as we arrived at Margaritaville they announced that they were starting a hula hoop contest. My youngest sister, who was 6 at the time, raised her hand and grabbed a hula hoop. We all laughed because what 6 year old is gonna win a hula hoop contest at Margaretville. Five minutes later she proved us wrong. Out of the 13 people that entered the contest she beat them all. The prize was a free drink - non-alcoholic of course - to go with her meal. After we had finished eating, we realized just how gorgeous it was outside and decided to go for a hike. We took our time taking in all the scenery we would have to leave behind. Only two hours later everyone on the cruise was back on the ship departing
The memorable mornings of waking up on a rocking ship in the vast ocean cannot be properly described without experiencing it first. When I look off the balcony of our ship and see rolling waves of deep blue water, I imagine the strange and wonderful creatures of the ocean. The miles and miles straight down into the abyss can only be imagined, yet can never be understood or fathomed by the mind. While the ocean is incredible, so many other things are happening around you on the cruise ship. My family has made so many unimaginable memories on our superb vacations. While the thought of being in the middle of the ocean and going to foreign countries excited me, I was nervous at the same time.
