My current employment for Walgreens/ Duane Reade provided me with many opportunities to develop new skills such as, utilizing data, being compliant with the law and regulations. It also allowed me to develop understanding for daily operations and procedures such as: cash handing, safety, compliance.
My current position allowed me to have a deeper understanding of leadership role and enhanced my understanding company’s vision and goals. During my career I was able to develop new qualities such as adapting to diverse situations, constantly becoming accustomed to changes, and successfully being able to align myself with the company vision.
I have worked at Walgreens as a pharmacist technician, but never had an experience working in a hospital pharmacy before. During my rotation, I noted that nearly everyone admitted into hospital have an acute condition that justifies the admission. The conditions also tend to be more severe or unusual, which leads to a greater variety of medicines being used. Also, in the hospital a doctor or nurse is not hesitant to contact a pharmacist when they need advice and pharmacists are accessible.
One past event I would say that the greatest experiences of my role in a leadership position came when I was in athletics in high school. This is where I learned that each individual needs to be led in a different way for them to reach their full
He is currently working for Xerox as an Eligibility Specialist. Working at Walgreens has taught me a lot about people. I do many different jobs like stocking shelves, working at the cash register or cleaning. My favorite part of my job is when I get to talk to customers. I have always been a shy, quiet, awkward kid. It's been hard for me to talk to people, especially strangers. I used to have preset phrases that sounded robotics and mechanical. If someone asked how I was, I would always respond with “I am doing well, how are you?” regardless of how I actually felt. These phrases guaranteed a short “good, thanks.” back and conversations ended abruptly. Once I started working at Walgreens, I began to get better at social interactions. I can now say a quick joke or just listen to people’s problems that
Each year companies get a chance to tell what their organizations have accomplished and what their future goals are through annual reports. The purpose of these reports is to deliver shareholders, possible investors, and employee’s information on how a company has been performing and how it expects to progress in the future. Walgreens, a pharmacy-led health and wellbeing enterprise founded in 1901, is one such company that takes advantage of having an annual report. To convey its information, Walgreens uses three communication techniques and strategies. First, to show the strides it has made in creating a customer-centric retailing experience, Walgreens uses
On February 8th, 2017, I responded to Walgreen's Store #10153; located at 110 North Westwood Boulevard Poplar Bluff, Missouri, after discovering one of the fraudulent transactions had occurred at the business on February 2nd, 2017, at 1828 hours. Contact was made with a manager who agreed to review the video footage. I accompanied the manager as the store's video surveillance footage of the registers was reviewed for the aforementioned time and date. After providing the manager with the tranaction information he was able to locate the tranaction history in the store's database which provided the date, time, location, merchandise purchased and method of payment for the transaction.
Let me start by saying, a happy employee is a happy company. An organization cannot meet its target goals except with close liaison with its employees. Employees on the other hand, want an organization that not only concerns it’s with its customers welfare and making profits, but also interested in making the welfare of its employees paramount, using Target as a case study. Target, the second largest retailer in the US market believes in assimilating its employees not just into its fold but into its vision and ideas. As stated on the company’s website, “Every team member is encouraged to innovate, contribute ideas and discover solutions as an important part of a world-class team” (Target career, 2016). Employees will rather work for an organization where their voices are heard and opinion counts. More so, with the dotted line crossing the boundary between an employee and an investor, it is imperative for organizations to craft programs that are beneficial to its employees. In Target’s own word,
During my time at Sonic Drive-In I've leaned some very valuable job skills such as a good work ethic and the art of customer service. As a Carhop I was on a very personal level with each of the customers because of this I was allowed the opportunity to develop a strong set of communication skills and due to the restaurant's high customer volume the ability to work well as team and stay calm under
In my capacity as a senior manager I was responsible for developing the growth strategy for the business unit during my tenure at Emerson Stewart and Parsons Brinckerhoff. The effectiveness of my leadership quality is well demonstrated in my approach to deliver strategic solutions through innovations. An example of this is the due diligence strategy I developed to help a global investment bank with their acquisitions.
The best experience that would reflect positively on my ability to succeed would be working at Alpha Chiropractic. I first joined Alpha at the age of 16 and continue to be a loyal employee. When I first joined the company, I lacked on all sort of skills. The first skills I learned at Alpha was communication and team work. Communication and team work are the principle characteristic on successfully working with your peers. When I obtained a higher position, I acquired the knowledge of time management. There was often a lot of pressure from the doctors, attorneys, coworkers and even the CEO. I learned to draw plans and set up priorities on the work load. While at this position I also learned patience. Patience was an absent skill when I first
Back then we had a lot of training and today we have a lot of training and each year it gets better. The three good things that the company me helped strengthen for the Retail Account Executive position, when I got the job. I had the people skills, meaning I was able to work in a team setting, stay calm and professional with customers. Second Customer experience is a focus for the company. AT&T does a great job over coming objections and how to have the “I can help you with that” attitude. Third I have to say I always enjoy communicating with people but the company has taught how to be even better and to look at topics in a different way. For example when I first started I never proof read my emails so sometimes I would skip words or not make sense or put things in an email that I didn’t think was bad but could have put the company and myself in jeopardy. Another example would be every year we have to take a training that helps understand how you should accommodate employees with disabilities or
Through my prior experiences, I have learned a large variety of skills, some of which include attention to detail, communication skills, and leadership. At UCSD Movement Disorders Center I was exposed to patient paperwork with sensitive information. Editing patient videos, I learned to recognized and distinguish small nuances in similar neurodegenerative diseases. I quickly learned the basics of the tests for neurodegenerative tests and why they do those tests. While the work was repetitive, I could develop ways to efficiently move through the work with precision. At UCSD I was learned how to speak up if I was unsure about what I was looking at, and by communicating with my supervisor in this way I learned much more than if I had stayed
My previous positions have given me an excellent grounding in management skills. My previous workplaces have well recognised how I have acted with ethic and integrity at all the times. Recently as a Process/Project Engineer at Minetek, I demonstrated my management and leadership skills taking the selection of process treatment required for the Collinsville Water Treatment Plant Project and provided adequately directions to others. I made a point of spending time with relevant team members and stakeholders that I have to interact in order to figure out how to achieve the best outcomes.
I learned a lot during my position as a resource assistant. The job skills will carry me into my own career as a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist with the disabled. I realized during my eleven month journey, that people from all socioeconomic
Working in a financial institution as a leader for several years now, I have been able to observe the type of leadership that yields the best results. At present, I can say that my work environment reacts better to a transformational leadership, and this
