Do violent video games make kids more violent? Of course not, just because your kid plays games like "Saints Row 4" doesn't mean they're going to shoot up their school. Even if kids talk more violent they're never going to actually do what they say unless they are literally mentally ill. I'm legally considered a minor and I play fairly violent video games more often than not, and I don't want to rebel against the law or something dumb like that. In the current year games like GTA5 are very popular. Kids now are being influenced by annoying sell out youtubers that play violent games for money, swear, and call everyone who doesn't agree with them an actual Nazi. This kind of behavior is now considered tough or whatever, therefore kids now are saying more violent things even know they're not going to do anything they say they are. "Common Sense Media" (great name by the way) claims that exposer to violent media is the parents' choice and they can easily just monitor what their children watch and play. This source also notes that a perfectly sane child who is not on drugs or being abused most likely will not be a criminal, I obviously agree. On the website there is a "For parents" tab, where concerned parents ask questions like "My kids loved violent video games like Halo. Should I be concerned?" Noted in the answer to the question, kids ages 10-12 tend to like games rated "M" and "R," and once again it's the parents fault for allowing their kids to get games for teens and
