As a Manager/Coordinator of Knox City Council for many years, I have an excellent understanding of the Victorian Public Sector Values and I put them into practice every day.
Part of my duties is to ensure all of my staff understand and adhere to the Victorian Public Sector Values. I achieve this through team meetings, reinforcing the importance of the values, upholding the reputation of Knox City Council.
I ensure all staff act with integrity when dealing with customers and are responsive to their needs. This includes being honest and transparent to customers.
Respect for others is something I have always adhered to and encourage staff to do the same. This

I always make decisions, demonstrating impartiality and instil this into my staff.
I am accountable for my own actions and the actions of my team. I allocate resources wisely maximising the use of available resources. I make sure all staff are aware of their duties and are accountable for the outcome. One of my key strengths is to share knowledge and information for the benefit of the team. If everyone is aware to team objectives and how they can be achieved, the team will perform to the best of their ability.
Holding many leadership roles in the Victorian Public Sector, I demonstrate leadership as a matter of course. I actively support, promote and implement the values to my team including challenging decisions, ensuring the best possible outcome for customers.
I have actively supported Human Rights throughout my career and this is demonstrated by my work with disadvantaged children and people with a disability. I ensure that everyone has access to all facilities and information regardless of culture, situation and background.
