Around the world there are many religions and cultures that have sacred places. A sacred place is a place that is holy, sanctified, and is inspiring to many believers. Many people go to sacred places to pray,have peace,and relax themselves for all the things that they have been going through. Vatican City is one such sacred place in the world that holds importance to many believers.
Vatican City, Italy is located on the Vatican hill in Northwestern Rome. It is the smallest city-state in the world. The population holds only 800 people at the Max. A Basilica is a church that is given certain ceremonial privileges by the pope.The church was built April 18, 1506. It is home to over 100 tombs and 91 of the tombs belong to the past popes serving Vatican City. The pope has full legal, executive and judicial powers within the culture. The College of Cardinals is the pope's chief advisory body and if he die’s they select another pope to take his place. This church is the largest Catholic church
