The authors purpose. To inform civilian persons that are dealing with immigration that the military has issues with immigration also.
The strategies to promote the argument. Were to list all the difficulty’s that military members and their families face, regarding enlistment, naturalization, obtaining permanent residency and receiving benefits for immigrant family members.
The strategies used were logical and appears very painstaking. It is very surprising to learn what military personnel who have immigrant dependents/family members must go thru to receive the proper paperwork needed to live and work in the U.S.

(2014). Our Refugee Crisis, Nation, pp. 4-6.
The authors purpose. Was to bring the readers up to speed on the problem of unaccompanied immigrant children coming across the border seeking asylum and how complex the issue is.
The strategies to promote the argument was to paint a picture in the minds of the public showing how unfairly the U.S. treats these children who only want a better life and to also make the readers feel bad.
The effectiveness of the strategies used was logical and Yes it was very effective and genuine. Sympathy is felt and I can empathize with their situation. opinions on the issue overall are that they are minors and are not able to care for themselves.
Anderson, S. (2012). American’s Incoherent Immigration System. CATO Journal, 32(1) 71-84.
The authors purpose. To persuade the readers to agree with any legists ration to bring about a more liberal immigration policy because hard line Conservative’s don’t want legal cheap labor that is controlled and monitored.
The strategies to promote the argument. To inform those of us that don’t know the excising policies and regulations in place that make hiring immigrant labor difficult and costly and illegal. They want the quota for visas raised and immigrant green card for sponsored employers
As the author of the book, Daniels has tried to exemplify his view towards hyperbolism of the rhetoric and misleading statistics that were conceptualized by the legislation looking upon the immigration process. He has also tried to depict his
The article opens up with background information from Strait’s first two parts of her immigration article. She begins by explaining that immigration information can be found in news media, government agencies, nongovernment organizations, and scholarly journals. Using these sources, many researchers have found some debatable issues regarding taxing, military duties, repatriation, and profiling of immigrants. These first two parts open the doors for Strait to begin discussing the most fitting immigration model for various countries.
Linda Chavez’ “The Realities of Immigration” combats how most politicians view immigration. She states in her essay that most politicians are misinformed and take a stand against immigration to seem tough (Chavez 436). Chavez provides historical and statistical facts to argue the statement that immigrants take all the jobs and leave citizens unemployed. She states that immigrants tend to be more motivated to work harder and take on cheap
For many years immigrants or foreign nationals have been able to join the US military weather they be legal or illegal (Times, A. T., 2014). The Military Accessions in the National Interest, or MAVNI, are now more open to immigrants without proper
An updated immigration bill, will be introduced by a group of cross-party senators, that will make an immense difference to non-immigrants requesting authorization to work in the United States under H-1B visa category (Issues in Science and Technology, 2006). The H-1B debate takes on a symbolic importance because it reveals conflicts and concerns with issues within America about unemployment and extending US control and opportunity. One may ask, “Why do we have immigration when unemployment is high?” Is there justification for immigration during an economic downturn and high unemployment? What is the legal risk for discrimination for US employees losing jobs to foreign workers?
The purpose of the e-book is to support the concept of enhancing immigration laws in order for both immigrant and the country to benefit in aspects such as economy and innovation. The elements of the information include arguments for a path that would help current immigrants assimilate to the American lifestyle while creating laws that would help protect the country as well. The author incorporates statistics and historical events that highlight the contribution and struggles of immigrants from all over the world. The author seems to rely solely on evidence as opposed to using emotional appeal to support his arguments.
Consequences resulting from this include abandonment of their family still in Mexico, desertion of their native culture/traditions and being in a constant fear of deportation. Because they are unable to travel back home, many experience an identity crisis since they are unable to identify with legally being American and they are miles away from their Mexican community. This identity crisis is found not only in their personal life but also in their professional life. In their American jobs, since they are exploitable, illegal immigrants must be flexible, hardworking and compliant with inhumane treatment. Schyrer highlights the multitude of negative consequences to inform the reader of the struggles illegal immigrants must go through.
Part of being an effective community advocate and a leader was listening to the needs of the population I was serving and providing them with the resources necessary to facilitate the transition into a new country and life. I dedicated time to interview each unaccompanied minor in order to learn about their reasons for migration, most included stories of violence, war, and abuse. The stories I recorded and the research I conducted into each child’s case was used to determine eligibility for services and legal representation. In addition, after becoming aware of the difficulty many of these children experienced in learning English at their new schools, I took the initiative to lead weekly English classes for recently arrived

The dilemma of immigration reform is a problematic issue in the United States because it involves the lives of more than 11 million illegal immigrants and the economy of the United States. Immigration reform is a commonly debated issue in politics in the United States. The problem with illegal immigration is the incapacity of Congress to pass reforms addressing border security issues and the dilemmas of the 11.6 million illegal immigrants in the country. It is time for the congress to develop a proper immigration reform policy that would address the following: 1. Reinforce the country’s border security 2.Stricter workplace enforcement verification process and punishment for those hiring illegal aliens 3. Create a path for illegal immigrations to become U.S citizens and 4. Reorganize the legal immigration system. In 2013 a group of senators known as the “gang of eight” wrote the first draft of the “Border Security, Economic Opportunity (S. 744) and Immigration Modernization Act of 2013 also known as the “immigration bill.”” The House of Representatives has not acted on this bill after it passed the Senate with a 68-32-vote margin. Unauthorized immigration has been a political issue disputed between the liberals and conservatives for many years. It is widely controversial; all viewpoints are criticized and unfavored by the general public. On the liberal side, a vast number of illegal immigrants reside in the United States in hopes for greater homes, job opportunities, and a better future. On the conservative side, this number has affected the country’s economy in terms of work and unfair payment of taxes. Although many agree that illegal immigrants should be granted citizenship in the United States, our nation needs to consider the decrease in job openings for legal American citizens and the possible increase in illicit activities due to illegal immigrants.
The main reason for choosing this topic was that I was inspired by numerous news articles about children who are independently trying to seek refuge for their families, from war-torn cities they would travel hundreds of miles to other countries pleading for support, hoping that due to their youth some officials would be discouraged from turning them down.
This states that child immigrants should stay in the US and that putting these young children in jail, court, or putting them under lots of stress is unfair and the US should change how they treat child Immigrants and or any
In recent times, illegal immigration has become a key political issue in the United States. A great deal of the debate on illegal immigration, centers on a workable path to United States citizenship. Immigration policy has been at the center of large public demonstrations and sustained political debate in the United States. This has resulted in a need for a better understanding of the politics of immigration policy. Immigration policy by its nature has several different aims, supporters and opponents vary based on types of immigration policy.1
Illegal Immigration With the presidential election coming up next year, illegal immigration has really been a big topic in the U.S. Illegal immigrants in the U.S. have brought some problems, but also some good things. This has been a controversial topic for a while now. So that’s why i’m writing this paper over it. Some people believe we need to have amnesty for illegal immigrants in the U.S., and others feel that illegal immigrants should not be in the U.S. at all.
