reduce the number of people they are able to support. Adult social care is subject to both needs assessment and means-testing. A needs assessment is carried out by a local authority to determine the level of risk a person has. The Health and Social Care Act 2012 is the most extensive legislation guiding the field within the UK. (Roscoe 2017&)
Britain: Britain’s £57billion a year spending on health care falls well below the European average. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) figures show that in 1998 Britain spent just 6.8% of its gross domestic product on health, (Public sector spending on health here is 5.7% of the GDP, with private sector expenditure making up the remaining 1.1 per%) compared to the European average of 7.9 %.
Britain spends an average of £1,510 per head of population on health - some £300 below the average for the rest of Europe. The UK spent 9.8% of its GDP on health care in 2009 and by 2014 it dropped to 9.1%. (Ebbinghaus 2012)

Defining national strategy is the duty of The Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, and Women’s Rights. The state has become increasingly involved in controlling health expenditures funded by statutory health insurance (SHI) in the past 20 years .proper regulation and planning within the adult care sector involves negotiations between the state, providers, and the SHI (statutory health insurance).the outcome of this negotiations is what is translated into laws by the parliament .the government is responsible for allocating budgeted expenditure as well as setting national strategy. Over the year both positive and negative influences have influenced my learning. The skill I have developed for learning is my aspiration is to become a midwife, this influences my learning in the way that it gives me the hunger to learn new things and improve my knowledge and grades. By improving my knowledge I will be able to go onto the next stage of my development. I believe that if I did not have such a desire to be a midwife, it would affect my learning by creating a mental blockage which would stop my ability to take things in and learn as I would become lazy and not interested from the lack of direction in my life. As soon as I realised what I wanted to do as a career, it really highlighted my priorities and I found that I have
Within a job description the main points usually tell you what tasks and responsibilities you are required to do, it does not state how these requirements need to be carried out. In order to find this out, you would refer to the relevant standards that are in place that allow you to work. Relevant standards, like codes of practice will differ depending on the country in which you work. Each UK country has National Minimal Standards that are used by inspectors to ensure that services are being delivered at an acceptable level. National Occupational Standards are also set across the whole of the UK to ensure that an individual effectively carries out their work within the care industry. The National Occupational Standards form the basis to all qualifications in the care sector (Pearsons College & FE College, n.d.).

In choosing the five optional questions, I wanted to gather additional information from Mr. Sene on; conflict management, quality assurance of service, and communication. Managing conflict between team members, also, working with a difficult person requires some form of strategy such as; compromising, avoiding, forcing, and resolving (Certo, 2106). Therefore, I was hopeful to gain knowledge of strategies or combinations of such he utilized, if any. In healthcare, quality assurance of service begins with the selection of employees. As a result, it is crucial information to understand what a manager seeks in a potential employee to maintain the highest level of quality of service provided to customers.
The GDP in percentage spent on health care in the United States is significantly higher than other nations. More so, the amount of money spent on health care per person in relation to the gross domestic product person, that is, the GDP in total divided by the number of the residents available in a particular country, is as well higher than that of other countries. The United States spends about $8233 in health care per person. This amount is much as twice as the amount France spends, and France is thought to have excellent health care services. The U.S partly spends more on health care because the
Therefore, investing in psychological support and appropriate information sharing to advise and guide these parents on how to tackle behavioral abnormalities should improve the quality of life of the child and the family. Meeting other parents with the same or similar problems can help parents learn from each other resulting in a faster learning curve therefore improving both the quality of life and also maximizing the services and treatments available. All the parents that took part in the interview felt that there was a special relationship between them and the child and none could imagine their lives without the child. They also stated that on the whole they coped well and that their child slow but constant progress was a great motivation.
The fact is that the U.S. spends more money on health care than any other country in the world, even when adjusting for relative wealth, according to a 2008 study by Mkcinsey Global Institute (MGI). In 2012 that number was about 2.6 trillion dollars or 18.6% of their gross domestic product (GDP) (13), in other words the U.S. spent about 8,915 dollars per person on health care, or more than twice what they spent on food and more than China spent on all goods and services combined (See Figure 1, MG1 2008). The amount spent on health care is expected to continue to rise , though that rise has slowed in the last three years, estimates suggest it could reach nearly 4.8 trillion dollars by 2021; which would be roughly one fifth of the U.S. GDP (15)
The importance of understanding that care is not a luxury “Employee wellbeing” is not a buzz word, or a passing craze. Without people, your idea will never grow into a successful business and you wouldn’t have a career ladder to climb up. Never be fooled by the idea that they need you more than you need them. In theory, anyone can pay their bills.
Amongst the OECD countries the United states accounted for the highest health care spending of 16.9% of GDP in 2012,it is greater than 7.5% above the OECD average of 9.3%1.As compared with the other OECD countries, the United States health spending is evenly distributed between public and private sectors1. Compared to other developed countries with similar wealth to the United States, the U.S. spends more per capita on healthcare than anywhere else in the world. While the United States spends almost $9,000 per capita on healthcare, the next highest spender Switzerland spends only slightly more than $6,000 per capita. The average amount spent in comparable countries in 2012 is $4,460, roughly half of what the U.S. spends annually (See Table 1). Since 2012, total health care spending in the United States has increased from $2.8 trillion to about $3.1 trillion in 2014, while per capita spending rose to $9,697 per person for the year 2014 (US Healthcare Spending). Growth in total spending on healthcare has increased from 3.7% in 2012 to 6.1% in 2014 (US Healthcare Spending). In 2013, the United States spent about 17% of its GDP on healthcare; the highest of any developed country (Allen).
This account alone just gives a statistical sense about how much we have been spending for just health care in the U.S. However, when one examine countries like France which is ranked among the most excellent health care system on the globe by the World Health Organization (WHO), the United States is ranked 37th. As a matter of fact, only 9.6% of France’s GDP, and expenditure allocation is on health care
