As a leader in our football family I believe that some of my strengths include, being a servant leader, I show being a servant leader because whenever a underclassman needs help with anything, whether it has to do with football of not, I am always there for help. My second strength that I believe I have is pushing other people around me so they get better, I started doing this a little bit during summer lifting, especially during hills. I would call out someone and race them and then encourage them as they were running with me. I also started doing this in bigger games towards the end of the year, I would just say simple stuff, such as “let’s get this stop right here” or “Come on boys, keep giving it your all”. My last strength I would say
Strength 1: I am very organized and I am able to stay on top of multiple tasks at once. I am currently a TA and a full-time student, and a volunteer at the crisis line and at Camp Kesem. Because of my responsibilities, I need to stay actively organized
A second strength would be an individualized consideration provided to each team member with a focus on self-interest which as a key advantage to accomplishing good work. My team trusts my guidance as their leader because they know that in the end I have their success as individuals in mind. Over time I have proven to them that I have no personal agenda to adhere to and therefore the decisions I make with regard to them are solely for their benefit. I am able to delegate tasks to individuals that I believe are willing and excited to accept the task at hand, whether they believe they are ready or not. It is my belief in others to rise to any challenge that fuels my strength as a leader. Only when they do not succeed, do I find it necessary to intervene and take action. This foundation of trust is also vital to my success as a leader.
I believe that my strength are that I am a fast leaner. I do not give up easily, and I also make sure if I am going go to do something I do it to the best of my abilities.
My greatest strength is my motivation to take on challenging tasks that help me step out of my comfort zone. In High school, I was in JROTC and took on the responsibility of taking two leadership roles as the Battalion Adjutant and Color Guard Commander. As the Battalion Adjutant, I was in charge of processing cadet’s records and administrative data. I ensured that all necessary paperwork was properly completed in a timely manner to make our events successful. As the Color Guard Commander, I led and mentored a group of 8 students and taught them basic drill movements. We presented the colors at various events such as football games and special ceremonies. Through my 2 years of experience in these positions, I learned how to take the initiative
Personally the top three strengths connect to me very perfectly. Perspective is a form of saying that I take a look of things in a broader point of view. Where everyone’s idea are taken into consideration to come up with a fair conclusion, or viewing a problem globally to define my answer. These past few years I have found a humble, peaceful, and positive perceptive of the human race and the earth itself. Meditation, rituals, and change of life style has embraced in me that my strength for spirituality stands as number 2 on the list. I cannot count the times I had to be strong not only for myself, but for my family. Bravery is a strength that helps me stay strong from all the obstacles thrown my way. According to “Level 5 leadership” by Jim Collins is described as Humility + Will = Level 5. "Level 5 leaders are a study in duality,
Based off my result after taking the VIA Survey of Character Strengths survey my first strength is my judgment, my effective use of critical thinking, and my open-mindedness. I agree with this because I actually spend more time thinking things through and assessing the cost and rewards than I do with the action I was originally thinking about. The Second Strength was Fairness, equity, and justice. I do agree with this strength but its description is not how I would describe it. I treat all people fairly and how I would want to be treated. I may give everyone a chance but ultimately I believe you get what you give; if you treat others good will get the same in return. I completely agree with the third strength- Hope, optimism, and future-mindedness.
Clifton’s Strengths finder helped me identify my five best strengths through an online survey system. From the report it indicated that my five top strengths were: Competition, Restorative, Context, Focus, and Deliberative. Skill surveys are used to help identify strengths and building them opposed to addressing your weaknesses. Personally I do agree with each of the five themes identified as my strengths. Through out my life I was always told to work on my weaknesses, for it will make me a well rounded person.
One strength that I display is determination. When I set sights on something I am passionate about, nothing can deter me from that path. For example, throughout my young-years, I was dead set on getting a puppy and it took five years of proposals and presentations until I convinced my parents to get one. Another strength I possess is communication. The use of language to express thoughts, voice concerns, and carry conversation is something that comes easily to me and allows me to interact with a variety of people like adults, teachers, and peers.
The strength I think is most like me is Activator. I am a very excitable person and if something exciting enough is going to start I can't wait one bit. I like being hands on and being able to try something even if I don't quite get it yet. I always like to initiate new ideas in my life and encourage my friends to try their best. Another strength I have is Consistency, that is
According to StrenghtsQuest, everyone has five strengths that provide them with consistent performance in their abilities (Clifton, Anderson, & Schreiner, 2006). My five greatest strength themes are individualization, relator, analytical, futuristic, and connectedness. There is a clear distinguishable connection between my strengths and my character traits. Many of the strengths I possess I utilize everyday in my present career. Individualization ranked as my greatest strength.
According to Strength quest my five greatest strengths are Learner, strategic, futuristic, relator and discipline. I utilize my strength as a learner daily because I feel that as long as I an living I will always learn something. I learn new things on my job everyday and I utilize those skill to perform my job better than I did the day before. Being a learner is also part of being a listener. One has to listen and understand what your are hearing to learn.
A third strength I have as an interactive leader is my ability to help others succeed in their professional life. I had a team member that worked for me and they were interested in moving up in the department. There was a position open on another shift and they came to me for guidance and I offered to mentor her. She was able to get the position because I helped her realize her potential and she was
Another strength I have is professional competence. I am a team player at school/work, I respect/understand other diversities, I am professional in the way I address others, and I accept supervision feedback in a satisfactory manner. After my assignments are graded on canvas, I try to reach out to the professor on feedback that I can help me improve professionally and academically.
If I were to ask my peers to evaluate my strengths, they would say my leadership, trustworthiness, and empathy towards others. One of my strengths is my leadership. Throughout the course of high school, I have been in a leadership role a countless number of times. I have been the captain of the basketball team, memorizing plays and defenses and assisting my teammates to help them understand. At one point during the season with our new coach, I was able to make the play calls for our offense and defense. Also within group projects, I am always the group leader because I take initiative. With this comes another one of my strengths, trustworthiness. I am trusted by my classmates to do certain tasks, and by parents of our community to babysit and
Secondly, my top strength is includer. I was able to work this skill very well during Vacation Bible School. There was one boy who wanted to sit off by himself the whole time and not participate in anything. As the week went on, I was able to encourage him and get him to join in with everything that was going on. Come Friday, he was playing with the other kids and being social like a four-year old should be. One of my other strengths is developer, and that is exactly what I was able to do during that week. I got to pour into the children’s lives through teaching them Bible stories, helping them with crafts,
