There are different kinds of dinosaurs around the earth. Dinosaurs are in museums and in the ground, there are probably more about dinosaurs to be discovered. For my research I will be finding things and information about the Tyrannosaurus Rex (T-Rex). The average Tyrannosaurus Rex lived from 20-30 years. The Tyrannosaurs Rex was up to 40 feet long, and 15 to 20 feet tall. The Tyrannosaurus Rex weighted about 7 tons. Some scientists think that they eat up to 500 pounds of meat. The skull was 5 feet, the largest tooth for the T-Rex is 12 inches. The Tyrannosaurus jaw was 3.9 feet wide for eating his prey whole. The dinosaurs died about sixty-five million years ago. There has been many theories about how the dinosaurs became extinct. Some of
The big dinosaur t-rex was about 30 feet to 40 feet long and 20 feet tall but can get to 30 feet tall. It lived in the cretaceous period 72 million years ago. It was a carnivore and that means it eats meat it eats more in a week than us eating in 4 months. T-rex is the most powerful with the jaw that can break throw bone.
Hi it's The King Dog 345 and I have a question for you do you like dinosaurs? I've been waiting to tell you this for a long time. I like dinosaurs because they are very awesome. It is cool to learn about some thing that was alive a long time ago. There are many theories about how dinosaurs died. I think they died because a meteor hit the planet but that is my theory tell your's to
Tyrannosaurs Rex, better known as the T-Rex, which means Tyrant lizard king lived during the late Cretaceous period, about 85 million to 65 million years ago. They were 40 feet long and 20 feet tall and weighed up to 7.5 tons. They were strictly carnivores and used their very sharp teeth to eat other dinosaurs. Fossils were discovered in Western North America and the skull of a T- Rex alone measured up to 1.5m(5ft) long. The also have the record of having the largest tooth of any carnivorous dinosaur found to this day, which is around 30cm (12in) long. When the T-Rex hits around the age of 14 its body size would increase rapidly, putting on around 600kg (1300Ib) a year over the next 4 years.
The Stegosaurus is said to be twenty-six to thirty feet long and about nine feet tall! the stegosaurs weighed six thousand-eight hundred pounds, can you believe that? but it had a very small brain, about the size of a nut. they are herbivores, meaning they only eat low plants and crops. they have seventeen bone plates that grew out of its back! some think that their plates helped them look bigger maybe to scare off the meat eaters or maybe just to show off. they also have spikes on their tail, the stegosaurus tail is four feet long as their tail is also very flexible and they can use to protect themselves from large predators or scare those carnivores. Its name also means covered lizard, they could not walk very fast and some paleontologists believe that if that if they had blood veales running through their plates that its plates could change color, pretty interesting right?
The Tyrannosaurus, also known as the T-Rex, are some of the biggest carnivores that roamed this planet. A large one would weigh about 6,000 Kilograms. A large T-Rex was 12.3 meters long. It could crush bone with a single bite. It ate the big 3 witch are the Hadrosaurs, Ceratopsians, and Ankylosaurus. In the stereoscopic arc(witch is where both eyes meet) the T-Rex could see 3-D. It’s name means tyrant lizard. The T-Rex was tall but not the tallest carnivorous dinosaur.
The Tyrannosaurus rex has a bone-crushing force skull, massive and long legs, and a brain that has a strong sense of smell. These characteristics were beneficial to the T-rex. First, the jaw of the T-rex was able to crush their prey's bones and drag the meat further which is also known as puncture and pull strategy. Next, the T-rex legs were massive and long especially in the juvenile stage because it had the strength of an adult legs which they were able to fast walk. Lastly, the T-rex had a strong sense of smell and binocular vision which can easily capture their prey. On the other hand, their arms were shortened relative to the size of T-rex body. There was no evidence that the T-rex used their arms for predation or scavenging.
These dinosaurs were discovered in the Shandong peninsula, which is the exact reason for its name. Also discovered in 1973 by a man named Hu. They were known to be the biggest ornithischian. This dinosaur had over 1,000 teeth and though they only used them toward eating plants. They weren’t the fastest but had the ability to sprint in order to get away from predators. They also spent their time traveling in herds in order to stay safe due to predators always on the prowl. These dinosaurs were smart enough to know that they would have strength in number and due to their size. They were known to stand their ground and had the tools to fight but when a large predator came lurking by like a Tyrannosaurus Rex, they knew their best chance of survival was to vacate the area. These massive dinosaurs stood at 25 feet in height, 54 feet in length, and weighs about 15 tons. Shantungosaurus was a very distinct dinosaur, definitely not like any other dinosaur around. But they were able to defend themselves and did so using teamwork and if they couldn’t win they were able to run away. They were able to go on their two legs and sprint. Also they had a tail that was really long and the biggest purpose of this tail was to keep them balanced, though it was thought this tail was used for aquatic reasons but it was later found that this was not the case due to the structure of the tail. The simple fact is we can only know so much about these dinosaurs; we weren’t there, so how could we really know what these dinosaurs
Stegosaurus is a genus of armored dinosaur. Their fossilized bones have been found in rocks dating to the late Jurassic period, between 155 and 150 million years ago, in the western United States and Portugal. Colorado is when the very first Stegosaurus fossil was found in 1876. Stegosaurus was designated the official state fossil of Colorado in 1982. Colorado is where the the very first stegosaurus fossil was found in
In addition to carnivore and herbivore mammals, there were also many different species of birds and reptiles that existed. A common misconception is that dinosaurs lived during this time, but they had gone extinct some 60 million years before the Pleistocene began. Some species of
Because dinosaurs are animals that lived millions of years ago, we are entirely dependent on the fossils that they have left behind for any understanding that we hope to gain. As any paleontologist will tell you, fossil hunting is difficult. There are no certainties, no guarantees. A certain amount of luck is as valuable as any scientific knowledge.
The biggest mystery surrounding the dinosaur is how did they die? For over 130 million years dinosaurs ruled the earth. Then 65 million years ago, at the end of the Cretaceous period, they died out.
So what killed the dinosaurs? Without having any background education in science it is hard for the general public to comprehend such matters and they rely on the knowledge of the scientists in this field. Although there has been much research on the subject nobody has come up with a conclusive answer. And we are left to read the countless articles, all having their own opinions as to the mass extinction. One such theory is that a shift in the solar system could have caused the mass destruction. According to an article published in Nature magazine,
Dinosaur extinction: An analysis of events and theories that possibly led to the dinosaurs' demise.
It is known for its size so it’s forgotten about how it had great longevity. It lived only in the late Cretaceous period. The Cretaceous period was one of the three periods during the Mesozoic era. The argentinosaurus lived 100 million to 85 million years ago. It became extinct at the end of the Cretaceous period and the Mesozoic era. 15 years is a long time for any animal. Could you look at yourself and imagine 15 million years of history? It’s a really long time. This is how long the Argentinosaurus lived.
Nobody knows for sure exactly how the dinosaurs became extinct. However scientists have speculated for decades about possible events that caused the dinosaurs to die out. Possibilities range from asteroids, to volcanoes, to climate changes. One of the more popular or well-known extinction theories involves the belief that an asteroid struck the Earth, causing devastating effects, and triggering mass extinctions around the end of the Cretaceous period.
