The preschool that I observed is Twelfth Baptist Church. Their math and manipulative area is between the preschool class and the kindergartener 1 class. They have many materials like puzzles with different shape and size, paper money and coins, measuring tap, clock, blocks, number chart, addition and subtraction charts, number rug, and many other supplies. They also have cooking equipment that they can use it in math like: cookies cutter shapes, bowls, measuring cups with different size, gloves, and apron. In the math center the children used to sit on the rug or on their chair without table as they answering some question on the charts. But when they are doing the activity or the cooking they sit on two big hexagon tables, each one have six
In our childcare center we have a variety of materials placed where children are able to access and reach easily. There are six different learning centers for children to explore. There is a carpet area for circle time, a quiet area with books, an area with blocks and puzzles, an area for painting, writing and coloring to develop fine motor skills, and dress-up and pretend home area i.e. kitchen sets with dishes and pretend food,
Kindergarten classroom of 25 students they all sit at tables that will hold up to six students, however I have them sitting 5 to a table for ease of grouping. Each table is a team labeled by a color, a large construction paper crayon hangs from the ceiling above each table, and they have matching crayon nametags on their desks. There is a Smart Board at the front of the classroom as well as a white board. My desk is at the front of the room to the right of the white board. Different centers are located around the room such as the art center, the math center, the reading tree is in the opposite corner from my desk. The room also has a single restroom and a sink and water fountain outside of the restroom. We also have circle area to the left of the reading corner
Pastor Fred Dyess had retired after serving as pastor for thirty years and Director of Missions for the Baptist Association of Greater New Orleans for fourteen years. The Lord called him out of retirement to start a new church. Bro. Fred checked with the Eastern Louisiana Baptist Association Director of Missions, David Brown, to learn what areas the association had targeted for a new church and what was needed. He was told that the Louisiana Baptist Convention required a new church to have a sponsoring church. Dr. Roger Dunlap and Macedonia Baptist Church gladly voted to be our sponsoring church. The Louisiana Baptist Convention and the Eastern Louisiana Baptist Association each gave Victory a budget supplement of $500 per month decreasing
Since its’ inception, the Southern Baptist Convention has stood in unity against the consumption of alcohol for recreational and social purposes. However, there has been a growing group of Southern Baptists that are challenging this historically held position. Richard Land and Duke Barrett write a defense of Southern Baptists historical position on abstinence from alcohol.
Hillcrest Baptist Church is a body of believers located in a small mid-west city that has experienced double-digit growth for the past nine years. Over the course of the last forty-two years, God has allowed only three senior pastors to serve. The longevity of the pastorates contributes to the strong lay leadership and positive community reputation. On the surface, Hillcrest appears very healthy. A survey of the average congregants would record this overall disposition. Numerical growth and vibrant services contribute to the attitude of satisfaction. Contrariwise, the systems and structure of the organization pose a serious threat to the continuation of expansion and vitality.

1A. Although this case can easily be argued either way, I believe that the court should rule against the Grace Church of Devoted Followers. This case echoes Wisconsin v Yoder (406 U.S. 205). In Yoder, a group of Amish people refused to comply with compulsory attendance once their children reached high school age. The reason for that is because the Amish believe that high school will provide a more “worldly” culture for their kids; this directly goes against their core religious beliefs because Amish society emphasizes a “life of goodness” rather than intellect. The Amish do not object to education in the eighth grade on down, because they recognize the necessity for basic education.
were any racial prejudice at Baptist, they were being promoted by Karl Krebs and Mary Gibbs, and not by Nickie Moretti.
The Holy Bible authorities people to be evangelists for Jesus Christ, and they will impart their beliefs on others, therefore knowing the doctrine of Jesus Christ is important.
On December 5, 2017 at approximately 0223 hours, I was dispatched to 288 Church Lane for a report of First aid Call for a 43 years old unresponsive male possibly overdose. The dispatch advised that CPR was in progress.
In my experience at first progressive Baptist Church I was very much out of my comfort zone because not only did I not feel as welcomed but it was a little awkward because of all the looks I was receiving. I felt I was not dressed as they were and felt as if I didn't fit in and right away I just didn't feel appropriate with my attire. While I was there I actually had people wanting to shake hands and asking me questions about me coming and there was one man who just stared at me and so it was uncomfortable and didn't know how to react. While I was there I started to notice that there is a little difference from the church I go to and the music was way different as well, everyone will talk back with amen or thank you Jesus. The difference
Materials and manipulatives are spread along the outside walls of the classroom and children are free to choose which type of materials they would like to work with during independent work time. You do not notice any individual desks and chairs set up in the classroom, rather a few tables and chairs grouped together. The furniture is all child size and you do not see any adult sized furniture throughout the classroom.
Over the past years of my life I have seen many changes, some for the good and others not as good. Change can be demanding and also crucial. The early believers would encounter this. One can see that significant change happened, when reading through the gospels and the book of acts it is obvious to the reader that the believers who followed Jesus would never be the same again.
In my second field experience, I’d decided to go to a Baptist church. However, I did not come from a religious background. Although I am not completely in the dark when it comes to religion I have learn about different religion through friends and books. Therefore, I thought this would be a great opportunity to finally experience a service and put my ignorance aside. Meaning the assumption and expectation I had of church service. Furthermore, it provided me the opportunity to challenge myself and my own biases I have towards going to church. Once I went to church I was surprise to see so many black people, for the first time since I moved too Greensburg, I was actual able to see a room overflowing with individual who looked just like me, my first emotion was excitement and enjoy. Some of my expectation, was something I have learned from my mother. My mother always told me that “black people churches last longer”, with this in mind I was prepare to be there for a long time. However, to my surprise it did not last as long as I’d expected it to. My overall experience, was warming, peaceful and positive.
My entire worship experience has been based off trying to understand more about the Baptist religion and what its purpose is in Christianity. The Baptist religion has always intrigued me as my uncle is a Baptist pastor; I’ve always wondered why he chose this religion. During family reunions, we would have my uncle lead prayer and I would question why his prayer was different to way I pray as a Catholic. My hope with the answers that I got from my interviews, is that I will be able to compare and contrast between the Catholic and Baptist religion.
