The impact that the social-structural position has towards health are clearly evident, and has been a problem for generations. The fundamental towards this is that those individuals of high social economical classes are less likely to face illnesses then those of lower social economical classes. Throughout this essay, I will discuses how poorer individuals are more likely to face extreme amounts of stress, and how this stress is directly related to poor health and several health issues. Throughout the article, Five Ways Poverty Hurts Mental Health, by Toni Paz (2018), he discusses the several ways that poverty and health are correlated. Firstly, he writes on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) which is caused when an individuals faces a lot of violence in their life. Paz (2018) mentioned throughout his article that “severe addiction, depression, anxiety and a hoist of other disorders become much more common for sufferers of this disorder”. The ability to think positive even during times of immense stress is a very difficult task, however, by doing so, the implications that stress has towards health can be automatically mitigated. As defined by Clarke (2016) throughout his book, Health, Illness, and Medicine in Canada, he stated that “a sense of coherence or a belief that things are under control and will work out in the long run is a crucial component of the state of mind that leads to health, People who have good or excellent health, all things being equal, are likely to have a strong sense of coherence.” To evaluate my own sense of coherence, I will look at my daily life, both personal and professional, and see what causes me to stress the most and how I overcome these
