The typeface I chose for this research is Times New Roman. I like this typeface out of all the other. You can use this font in many different ads, magazine, books, and etc. this font was first evented in Times New Roman is a Transitional serif typeface designed by Stanley Morison and Victor Lardent. It was released through Monotype in 1931. The design was based off Plantin , but with a renewed focus on legibility and economy to better meet the needs of newspaper typography. Times New Roman is one of the most ubiquitous typefaces of the digital publishing age due to it being the default font for numerous word processing applications and web browsers. In my opinion, this typeface is special because it was created for the Golden Cockerel Press in 1929. Eric received his well-deserved fame for designing typefaces for the company. It is a simple typeface if you ask me and it’s notably easy to read which is useful for quick and effortless attention and to capture the audience.

The Italic script was used in creating colonial American and British records. The Italic script is a semi-cursive script that is slightly sloped. It was introduced in Italy in the 1420’s by Niccolo Niccoli. Italic script is also known as Chancery Cursive. He found that writing in the current Humanist Minuscule handwriting took too long. Therefore, he created the Italic script which was quicker to write due to its oblique forms, fewer strokes per character, and the joining of letters. Times New Roman is also a font that should never be used in designs. Times New Roman is rarely appropriate. It has twisty bits coming off each letter. It looks clumsy, weird, and messy. Instead you should pick something classier like Verdanda. Next is Papyrus. Papyrus makes everything look like it could have been written on a pharaoh’s tomb. It looks old. Next is Comic Sans. Comic Sans was overused and is now only used for the annoying notes you get at school or work saying something like “Don’t steal my pens.”. And the worst, Curlz. Curlz makes you look crazy
