Description
The shark moves his/her tail with a whipping motion but When it goes to kill prey it’s another story. When it goes to kill prey its body works like a catapult it will sling the upper lobe of its tail over its head.Their tail is also so powerful it can split water molecules! If I were you I would stay away from this shark.
Reproduction
The shark reproduces in a fascinating way.First it has a small litter of pups (2 - 4) then the pups eat the unfertilized eggs. They also deplete or use up their yolk sac in the womb.(Thresher sharks are slow

Pacific sleeper sharks, which are also known scavengers, can glide through the water with little body movement and little hydrodynamic noise making them successful predators. They feed by suction and cutting of their prey. They have large mouths that can inhale prey and their teeth cut up any pieces that are too large to swallow. They show a characteristic rolling motion of the head when feeding. Only in Alaska has the shark's diet been studied - most sharks' stomachs contain remains of giant Pacific octopus. They are also known to feed on bottom-dwelling teleost fishes as well as soles, flounders, Alaska pollock, rockfishes, shrimps, hermit crabs, and even marine snails. Larger Pacific sleeper sharks are also found to feed on fast swimming
the black tip shark has a very pointy nose in fact more pointy than any other sharks it uses a chemical odor to attract a mate near by.
For this discussion, I chose to examine the reproductive nature of mountain lions and hammer head sharks. Mountain lions are solitary cats that live in various mountainous regions of north and south America, but a male and female come together socially in order to mate during the 3-10 day estrus period. Due to their solitary nature, mountain lions rely on scent marking in different territory as well as a mating call of the female in order to initiate the potential for sex. Typically, when a male and female find each other; they spend several days together during the mating period and he may hunt for her and run mating circles around her. Mountain lions are polygynous and both the males and females will mate with multiple individuals throughout
If a bull shark and hammerhead shark were to fight, the bull shark would win. Bull sharks are the most dangerous sharks in the world! Along with this, bull sharks have special adaptations, and they hunt in shallow waters. Although hammerhead sharks have great vision, the shape of their heads, and the placement of their eyes cause them to have a huge blind spot right in the middle of their head. This makes it easier for other sharks to win a fight against the hammerhead.
Thresher Sharks, a giant of the sea who survives for twenty five to fifty years, and you would believe that they have ways to survive. You believe right, they have strategies and features that allow them to survive in the demanding habitat of the ocean. The Thresher shark’s life starts when a female gives birth to four to six baby Threshers. As a newly born Thresher they are four to five feet long and tend to favor coastal shallows for the protection that it provides. As the Thresher grows into the giant of the sea it is, it will start to roam open water. There it will start hunt, it’s prey consist of fish like, lacets, blue fish, menhaden, mackerel, herring, squid, octopus, and even crustaceans. It is more known for eating schools of fish
It’s important to realize what sharks are capable of. For example, it states in “What do you know about Sharks?” by Sharon Guynup that “[the dusky shark] exerts 18 tons of pressure per square inch on a victim.” That only being one of hundreds of species one
Fifteen rows of sharp teeth, piercing eyes, and extremely strong jaws all contribute to the petrifying characteristics of a shark. As one of the top apex predators in the marine ecosystem, sharks are feared by many. However, this fear stems from the common misconception that sharks are dangerous and deadly. Despite the media portraying sharks as dangerous creatures, humans should not fear them, as there are several benefits of having them in our aquatic ecosystems. The 1975 movie Jaws depicted a fearful predator that would attack humans without reason, fueling unnecessary terror among the population.
They also prey on smaller fish such as skates, eels, herring, and cod. On occasion remains of larger mammals such as seals, moose, polar bears, and reindeer have been found in their stomachs. Its even speculated that these sharks ambush seals, with their ice holes being like beacons. Female Greenland sharks are ovoviviparous, meaning that they retain the developing embryo inside of their bodies to hatch instead of depositing it into the mud. While the gestation period is unknown there are usually 10 pups per litter that are about 90 centimeters
Most sharks eat their prey whole, or tear off large chunks of flesh at a time.
First, Swimming silent as ninja fast as light, there is the shark.? First, Scale that creates a turbulent swirl of slower water, making the water pass by faster. Now navy is using this to go faster. Why are shark so clean compared to whales? Shark is super clean because they scale that consequently move so it's hard for bancal to stay on (right now saving the navy 50 million$). Third, invented by Johannes Oeffner and George V. Lauder, Shark Skin denticles seem to provide a clever boost,” explains Laud. Now you
All sharks are dangerous at one end of there body but the thresher shark is a force to be reckoned with at both ends of its body. With a tail that can swing up to 80 mph the thresher has made this ability its main way to hunt food. These sharks can build surprising speed of about 30mph to catch its prey. By swinging its tail into a
The International Shark Attack File lists bull sharks as the species with the third-highest number of unprovoked shark attacks, with 100 unprovoked attacks (27 fatal) from 1580-2010.
My animal s the greenland shark. This animal likes to be in a cold climate. They are smaller but they can do as much damage as a real live shark. They eat a lot of fish that live in the sea.
The Mako shark is a very unique species of cartilaginous fish in the Lamnidae family (Col-Spector, Audrey, “MAKO SHARK- Enchanted Learning Software"). This pelagic swimmer is the fastest shark that has ever been observed in the ocean, clocking in at speeds up to 60 mph (Col-Spector). Its streamlined body allows it to swim at faster speeds than most other fish, making it a highly successful predator. “Schooling fish, including tuna, herring, mackerel, swordfish, and porpoise” are popular among the diet of the Makos (Col-Spector). Although they like to prey specifically on schooling fish, Makos eat just about anything they come across (Col-Spector). The Mako sharks physical features and social characteristics is what sets it apart from other species of the deep.
Their bodies are also shaped somewhat like a torpedo to give them a more streamlined affect in the in water. Yet, some types of sharks, the ocean dwellers have a flat body similar to that of skates and rays. Sharks can travel with great bursts of speed especially when attacking their prey or when excited. The fastest-swimming sharks have a moon-shaped tail that provides extra power and durability for swimming.
