1. The revolutions connect the Enlightenment to the Romantics. The Enlightenment’s ideas revolved around social order, reason, and knowing your place in society. The Romantics views were polar opposite from these ideas. Their main ideas were personal fulfillment, emotion over reason, and having a follow your heart attitude. These opposing viewpoints and the rise of the middle class disrupted the social order and eventually led to revolutions across the world, but especially in Europe.
2. The three main ideas associated with Romanticism are emotion over reason, personal fulfillment, and follow your heart. These ideas were often associated with living simply on a farm and being with nature. Often they reflected more of a middle class lifestyle. Two authors I read about that used this style of writing are Goethe and Monzaemon.
3. The three main ideas associated with Realism are survival of the fittest, do what it takes, and pragmatism. These ideas were often associated with poverty and living in the slums of a city. Two authors I read about that used this style of writing are Tolstoy and Baudelaire.
4. I personally think that lyric is the best fit for Romanticism. Romanticism is all about emotion and nature and poetry is a perfect way to express ones feelings about anything without having to make a point or story.
5. I personally think that narrative is the best fit for Realism, because in a narrative you tell a story and stuff happens. A narrative is more like real life than
