Once there was a great little boy and his name was Thomas Jefferson. He was best known for writing the Declaration of Independence which proclaims all men are equal in rights regardless of birth, wealth or status. He was also the author of The Statute of Virginia for Religious Freedom. Thomas Jefferson’s father was Peter Jefferson and Thomas Jefferson’s mother was Jane Randolph Jefferson. A fun fact you may not know is that only 5 out of 9 of Thomas Jefferson’s sibling’s survived past there 30’s! When Thomas was little he liked to go to the mountains to explore.

Thomas Jefferson was born on April 13th, 1743 in Shadwell, Virginia. He attended boarding school till the age of 16. He began building his own home named Monticello at 26 years
