The Holy Bible, as we have learned in this first lesson, indeed is a book for today. It is the mind of our great God in heaven, showing us how God thinks, and more importantly, how He wants us to respond and think.
The question remains, why can we see this, but the world cannot see this? Looking simply with an open mind, at two verses recorded for us in the gospel of John, we can answer the question. In John 6:44, 65 Christ makes a profound statement. Let’s look at this statement made by our Lord, John 6:44 “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.” Then in verse 65, “And He said, ‘Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.’” We have been blessed with this powerful knowledge and we have the privilege to understand God’s truth. It’s not us that come to God because we know this is the Way to go. God the Father, He is the One who calls us, who handpicks every single one of us who understands what we read. When He calls us, only then is it we that have to choose what to do.
How then is it? To us, we understand God’s

There is a great powerful spirit being who we all wrestle against. He is the “prince of the power of the air” (Ephesians 2:2), he “accuses us before God day and night” (Revelation 12:10). Now we will see another aspect to why God’s word is a mystery to so many people! Revelation 12:9 “So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels (demons) were cast out with him.” Satan deceives all of us, all the people in the world. He is our adversary. He knows that one day, all people will replace him. That is also why he accuses us before God day and night. This is what God teaches us through His mighty
Introduction: The term "image of God" occurs three times in the Bible. In Genesis 1:26-27 and 9:6, we find out that man is created in the image of God. In 2 Cor. 4:4 we see the phrase used in reference to Jesus who is the "image of God." There is no exact understanding of what the phrase means, but we can generalize. It would seem that the first two verses refer to God's character and attributes that are reflected in people. The term cannot be a reference to a physical appearance of God since Jesus says in John 4:24 that God is Spirit, and in Luke 24:39 Spirit does not have flesh and bones. Therefore, we can conclude that the image of God deals with humanity's reflection of

In His faithfulness, the Lord as Divine Judge will judge His covenant people Israel after they disregard their covenant obligations and then offer them deliverance once they demonstrate repentance.

Today, in modern day living, people are talking about either of the two worldviews, and the importance of that chosen worldview. However, one can choose to live by the principles of a secular worldview or a biblical worldview. This study highlights the distinguishable difference between a secular worldview and a biblical worldview, the incorporation of belief and doctrine, and the theories of vocations and the efforts for living righteously.
The purpose of this essay is answer the following questions in scope of Genesis chapters one through eleven. How does having a biblical world view affect the way we look at the natural world compared to others who don’t? How does the biblical world view affect our human identity compared to those who do not? How does having a biblical world view affect human relationship? How Does the biblical world view affects civilization?
I examined Jeremiah 13:1-11in these three translations: New International Version (NIV), English Standard Version (ESV), and The Message (MSG); most of the perspectives will be coming from the NIV. The NIV calls this narrative ‘A Linen Belt’, the ESV called it ‘The Ruined Loincloth’, and the MSG called it ‘People Who Do Only What They Want to Do’. The story starts out with God telling Jeremiah to buy a linen belt and not to let it touch water. Jeremiah bought the linen belt and tied it around his waist just as God told him to do. Then God said to him that he should take the belt to Perath (possibly the Euphrates) and hide it in a crevice amongst the rocks. Jeremiah obeyed God, went to Perath and hid the linen belt in a crevice between the rocks. Many days later God told him that he should go get the belt that he hid amongst the rocks and Jeremiah listened to God so he went back to Perath to retrieve the linen belt. Jeremiah retrieved the belt, but now has a belt that is ruined and useless. Then God said, “In the same way I will ruin the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem. These wicked people, who refuse to listen to my words, who follow the stubbornness of their hearts and go after other gods to serve and worship them, will be like this belt—completely useless! For as a belt is bound around the waist, so I bound all the people of Israel and all the people of Judah to me, to be my people for my renown and praise and honor. But they
In keeping with the image of God, it is often a struggle to exhibit patience, kindness or even self-control with the psychotic patient yelling, cursing or fighting you. Everyone one of us has problems to face in our lifetime. I feel that God sees our struggles and help is always available. Mental health carries a very negative stigma in today’s society. As nurses, we know that those with mental illness are no different from those with hypertension or diabetes. Yet, God has a purpose for everyone. As a nurse, first, you need to develop trust. Without trust, there is no relationship. As much as you want to walk away from this patient, you know that they are sick and need your undivided attention. Generally, I try to kill them with kindness, let them vent within reason, and always tell them the truth about what is happening and going on. As irrational as the patient is, scripture says that I am not to judge them for their actions. Luke 6:37 states: “Do not judge and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.” (HCSB) I have to exert self-control to avoid feeding into their anger, frustration, delusions, lies, or false hopes. Not only am I the nurse, but I am a servant of the Lord. Therefore, while everything seems to be crumbling down for the suicidal or depressed patient, I need to let my faith
I believe that the 66 books of the Bible are God’s word revealed to us, written by God’s apostles and prophets. In its original manuscripts it contains truth without error as it unfolds the story of God – his creation, our fall, his redemption and restoration; therefore it is, and will remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union. The Scriptures are the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions should be tried.
Scripture opens with a witness to the act of God in creation. This fact points to us that understanding the world as the creation of the infinite-personal God is a fundamental starting point in constructing any kind of adequate theology. What is also clear is that it is important to get this understanding right, to the extent that we can do so. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Gen 1:1 HCSB) (Akin, Theology of the church). But with the revelation of the speaking God who has told us what he has done should make us want to please him each and every day and to show him we love him to.
Worldview may be defined as the programming of the mind through which one understands and relates to the world. Just like tinted lenses will cause one to see a “red” or “blue” world, different worldviews will “shade” our lives. Yet, where “red” and “blue” mix, we must choose only one.
A worldview is how others look at the world from your own point of view. When looking at the worldview you can also use a lens to see things. Worldview can affect the way you look at thing in your own eyes. There are several types of worldviews such as theism, naturalism, and pantheism. People that has the religion of theism believe that there is a god. People that has a naturalism religion are people that believe there is no god. People that have a religion of pantheism believe that god is everything in their life. There are many ways the worldview becomes biblical. There are seven of the biblical worldviews. The first one is the existence of god. The worldview of existence of god is affected by doctrine in sense that if god exist it is always a higher person to be accountable for. The second one is salvation by grace alone. Salvation by grace alone is through faith alone in Jesus. The worldview in salvation by grace is that all life surrendered to Christ in response to his sacrifice and grace you receive through faith. The third biblical

There were at least 3 views of how the Old Testament was composed which include the critical view, the compositional view, and the common view. Each view was somewhat similar and different in the aspects that gave it it's own characteristics. The main point of this discussion is to focus on the similarities and differences of each view which are but not limited to how the bible was created, the process, and design.
The first 39 books of the larger work called the Bible, is called the Old Testament. The Bible itself is arguably the best selling and most read book of all time, yet it’s well known to be quite challenging to read through and understand. The Old Testament portion of the Bible, notably the most difficult portion of the Bible for most to study and follow, yields 39 books from multiple authors, and spans over 4000 years of crucial world and church history. If that were not enough to take on, the Old Testament comes our way through multiple styles of authorship and formats, including but not limited to, books of history, law, proverbs, ethics,
