After all of the writers that have been presented through the course of the semester, it was nice to see something or rather someone different. It was nice to see something refreshing, something that was not solely just on paper, but on the screen. Slender man, once an internet game sensation now turned into a documentary. Two girls,Anissa Weier and Morgan Geyser, being up on trial and being tried as adults were charged with intentional first-degree homicide on then friend Payton Leutner. The reason, while can be seen as shocking or cannot be seen as shocking, was due to the fact of the girls want to see the fictional character himself, The Slenderman. Sophie Harris, co-producer on the HBO documentary, Slender man, had taken interest in not

One of the most destructive bombs in history has the unusual name of “Fat Man.” This was the codename for the atomic bomb that was ultimately dropped on Nagasaki, Japan, in an attempt to end the war in the Pacific between the United States and Japan. This was the second atomic bomb that was dropped on Japan by the United States.

The two Uranium masses would hit each other so hard it would be so great that the bomb would blow itself apart. The second Atomic bomb was was dropped on Nagasaki named the “fat man”, which was an implosion-type weapon. The Fat Man device specifically used 13.6 lbs, about 12 US fl oz of Pu-239, which is only 41% of bare-sphere critical mass. Surrounded by a U-238 reflector/tamper, the Fat Man's pit was brought close to critical mass by the neutron-reflecting properties of the U-238. During detonation, criticality was gained by implosion. Implosion is where the Plutonium pit was squeezed to increase its density and by detonating at the same time. The implosion method is considered more sophisticated than the gun method and only can be used if
The film does take a rather unexpected turn with the destruction of the narrator’s beloved condo. An explosion destroys everything and his pursuit for the perfect condo is forced to end prematurely. With literally no friends or family the narrator is forced to turn to the intriguing ‘single-serving friend’ he met on the plane, Tyler Durden; a confident, eccentric, care-free and charismatic soap salesman. As the narrator continuously rants about the terrible misfortune he has just endured, Tyler shows not even the smallest interest. He impertinently proclaims, “Could be worse. A woman could cut your penis while you’re asleep and toss it out of a moving car”
The movie follows a day in the life of LAPD Officer Jake Hoyt, played by Ethan Hawke. It is an action packed account of the events Hoyt experienced. During the day Hoyt is being evaluated by a highly decorated narcotics cop, Detective Alonzo Harris played by Denzel Washington. While on tour Alonzo witness several events during the day. Watching Alonzo smoke dope, falsifying warrants, staging crime scenes, seeing gang members dealing drugs and a woman being attacked and raped to name a few.

At long last, she was about to step into a world completely alien to her. What if, he flew into a rage as he relived it all? Is he really the monster, he describes himself as being? How would she cope if she heard things too hard for her to deal with? Should she stop him? It was too late.
The similarities between the groups in videos are dissatisfy their body images and want to have a skinny and slim body. Also all groups became aware about body images in very early stage.
The one speaking is clearly a very good friend who is clearly very supportive and sympathetic to her friend’s need to treat the dying with respect and comfort. This is evident in the quote “You check her towel. soap and family trinkets, pare her nails,”. They tend to the dying grandmother’s sentimental needs, making sure that her personal hygiene possessions and comforting “family trinkets” are by her side at all stages of the process, and that she is ready to go to the afterlife. The phrase “parcel her in rough blankets” portrays a feeling of something being prepared to be sent somewhere, or mailed somewhere. The final destination would obviously be another world after your lifespan time is up, which makes this portrayal of death
Throughout the documentary Thin, I learned a variety of things. I realized how these eating disorders, such as Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and Purging Disorder greatly affect the mind. Each of the girls and women in the program had a lot of psychological things going on in their thoughts. It was hard for them mentally to eat food or to, for example, drink the mandatory weight gain supplement. Every day was a challenge for them as they tried to overcome these thoughts that consumed them. Whatever they are going through in their lives, they are able to control what goes into their bodies which is the only thing they feel like they have control over. A lot of these disorders are caused by problems growing up, living
