B. Theodore (aka Teddy) Roosevelt was a well-known man.

C. worth knowing about because he helped our country grow. was an American Statesman, author, explorer, soldier, naturalist, and President of the U.S.

II. Biographical Sketch A. born on October 27, 1858.

B. was tutored at home when he was young because he had asthma and was a “sickly” child. was also extremely nearsighted (can't see objects far away). When an adult, he went to Columbia Law school. dropped out after one year to begin a career in public service. He met his wife there and had one kid.

C. later on, his wife and mother died so he fled to dakota by himself, and became a sheriff. then met his next wife and had 5 kids. he also became a soldier, won a medal. he became NY’s Governor. Decided to keep pursuing in this career. became VP, then 26th president of the United States. became president because former president, William Mckinley was …show more content…

He passed away on January 6, 1919 in the Town of Oyster Bay, New York. died peacefully in his sleep at 69.

III. Character Traits

A. Eccentric- Roosevelt always had ideas to new things. had ideas/suggestions to everything under his presidency like deciding to end construction or not or problems with wars.

B. Megalomaniac- In my eyes, Roosevelt had the most power out of all the presidents because he accomplished so many achievements. he used that power to keep going. could have used the power for bad, but wanted more of it for using it on good things.

C.Intelligent- he was a good student in homeschooling. wasn't pressured to learn hard/many subjects. read many books. learned a lot about nature (animals and land).

IV. Conclusion

A. It was worth taking time to learn about Theodore Roosevelt. Reasons for this include: he helped strengthen the army, wrote several (26) books, was president, passed helpful laws, and helped us learn more about
