Theme Of Power In Animal Farm

Everywhere in the world and in almost every aspect of life, people strive for power. The desire of power is a natural thought to humans. In Animal Farm, a group of animals win their power from humans and create their own community, which they said would have no leaders. Naturally, though, leaders arise due to certain things, one of which, is knowledge. In Animal Farm, the animals on the farm gain power over the humans and start their own society, which leads to the pigs rising as natural leaders primarily because of their knowledge.

Each animal was a key character in the Revolution such as Napoleon being Joseph Stalin, Mr. Jones being Tsar Nicholas and Boxer, being an ignorant. Mr.Jones was run off the farm because the animals were tired of the drunken man mistreating them. What the animals didn't know was that they went from one dictator to a whole group of them. The pigs. Ignorance contributes to political and social oppression and is proved by the inability to comprehend what the pigs are doing to the other animals. The animals cannot read or write as well, are perplexed easily, couldn't see the blemishes in the pig's leadership, or how the pigs changed things and didn't see or completely ignored how the pigs had acted.

The intelligent pigs take advantage of the uneducated lower animals and take control of the farm. By showing the steady increase of the pigs' intellectual exploitation of the lower animals, Orwell warns the reader of the importance of an education.

The theme of is when you are regarding education, the author wants to say that if you have an education, you could gain power. I think so because of the characters. Some of the characters in the book are Napoleon, Squealer, and Benjamin.

The Corruption of Too Much Power After the animals find out that the milk and apples have been set aside for the pigs and Squealer one of pig says ‘"You do not imagine, I hope, that we pigs are doing this in a spirit of selfishness and privilege? Many of us actually dislike milk and apples. I dislike them myself”’ (Orwell 35). In George Orwell’s Animal Farm, Squealer convinces them to accept that the pigs needed the milk and apples.

Orwell’s novel delivers a strong political message about class structure and oppression from the patriarchal society through an allegory of a farm that closely resembles the Soviet Union.

Animals have taken over or at least in the book animal farm by George Orwell. In the book the lust for power, control over dogs and a faithful friend to make a pig all high and mighty play a huge part in this book. the lust for power make one pig act like the old care take who only had his best interest at heart, but when he takes control over the dogs, no one says “no”, they are too scared to do anything. To top it all off, he has another pig that can “turn black into white “convincing them that he does it for their best interest.

In Animal Farm, George Orwell uses satirical allegory throughout his novel to present the pessimistic view of human nature. The animal fable is used to demonstrate the issues of unfair treatment, exploitation and inequality in society. It is evident that this irony is particularly evident in the ending of both novels (Gulbin 88). The satirist irony is directed on the events of the Russian Revolution and on the totalitarian regime. Orwell uses political reason with creative reason to show his negative belief that people only change the dictators though revolutions but the systems stay the same. It is only a dream that people can gain a classless society through revolutions. Orwell believes that everyone wants equality, yet it is in one's nature as human beings to obtain power.

In Animal Farm, George Orwell uses tone, characterization, and stylistic elements to show that people in power use manipulation to stay in power.

Animal farm by George Orwell introduces real life problems using animals on a farm. The narrator focuses on leaders. This novel talks about a group of animals that overrule a farm owned by a man named Mr .Jones, but the animals face many corrupt rules, freedom rights, enemies, and arguments between one another. The farm becomes overruled by a pig named Napoleon, and the animals are afraid to go against him. Napoleon soon acts like Mr.Jones and the animals freedom is getting taken away from their hands. The novel's main message was to believe those are seeking the truth- doubt those who find it. The novel relates to the theme because between all of the animals, their was many that were not being true to each other and the main character of the story was trying to lure the animals in a plan once he found out he could takeover the farm, just like how it was in the beginning when Mr. Jones owned the farm.
