What really is in a name? Apparently, there is a lot. In Henry Louis Gates, Jr.'s story, "What's in a Name," there is a telling story about a young boy learning the powerful pain and humiliation in the racist practices of American society. Gates illustrates how racism can perpetuate prejudice that aims to take away individual identity and put entire groups of people down. Yet, the fact that Skip was willing to never look Mr. Wilson in the yes again shows that Gates himself was not going to just take the racism any longer, but was willing to fight it in his own unique way.
Ray LaMontagne has said that:"You can make bad choices and find yourself in a downward spiral or you can find something that gets you out of it." C.S.Lewis fits both of the situations mentioned above. He used to fall downward like a fool because the decision he make about faith but later he made the intelligent choice and turned the darkness of his life inside out and embraced the light of the world. Unlike the fools, people full of intelligence in both physical and spiritual ways will turn the darkness back and embrace the light of the world honorably. C.S. Lewis, a fabulous Christian author, apologist and evangelist, was admirable not only because of his knowledge but also because of his willingness to share Christianity and his undoubted impact on Christian faith.

“People always fear change. People feared electricity when it was invented, didn't they? People feared coal, they feared gas-powered engines... There will always be ignorance, and ignorance leads to fear. But with time, people will come to accept their silicon masters,”Bill Gates. Well it is true, Wheelan makes a point when he asks, if all your money, house, and car were stripped from under you, will you still be okay (pg. 127)? If your building blocks are strong and in tact then you should have no worries, right? Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft and a billionaire is one of the worlds finest. I believe that he does have his foundation seamless and deserves the money and credit he has earned. Considering I am only seventeen and have not invented nor invested
