The Declaration of Independence holds great value to the history and to the people of the United States. It has been the center structure of how our government is formed today. It has changed a bit since it was created though. Some of those changes include how the people now treat Native American and African American people, they are (obviously) no longer enslaved or looked down upon (unfortunately there are still some people who choose to disrespect others for no good reason though.) But in present time, people are more equal generally. Most people do not look at one race being more dominant than the other, and that is very good. Another change in America sense the Declaration of Independence is very obvious, we are no longer trying to escape
The Declaration of Independence is the most important document in the history of the most influential nation in the modern world – The United States of America. Many other nations and societies that have gained their independence since this declaration was drafted in 1776 have used the four key ideals contained within it as a guide for their own independence. This document did much more than achieve independence for the U.S; it would drastically change the thinking of the entire world. The Declaration of Independence, written by Thomas Jefferson and adopted by the Second Continental Congress, states the reasons the British colonies of North America wanted independence in July of 1776.
In 1776, the Continental congress elected that Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Roger Sherman, and Robert R. Livingston help write what many now know today to be The Declaration of Independence. The whole point of this document being written was to declare to Great Britain and King George III that the British colonies in North America would no longer be a part of Great Britain, but rather of their own free states, thus creating the United States of America and declaring independence from Great Britain. Because of what The Declaration of Independence stood for, it has been regarded highly throughout American
On June of 1776, the Declaration of Independence was born. Drawn up by Thomas Jefferson and based on the works of John Locke, the general purpose of the document was to clarify that governments have conditional, not absolute authority over the people; that human beings possess natural rights that can’t be taken from them and government is created to protect those rights. The phrases “unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” and “all men are created equal” were the main theme of the social contract written for the small colonies of what would be the basis of the United States of America to declare independence from Great Britain and its tyrannical king. However, “unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” and “all men are created equal” did not apply to African Americans, enslaved or free for the coming years.
The Declaration of Independence is one of the most significant documents in the history of the United States. It has completely and forever changed the structure and foundation of our country. The Declaration gave purpose to the Revolutionary war. It was a justified reason to revolt against a government that no longer assured us our rights. It shows that they didn't go to war without
There is no such thing as an ideal government. Every form of government has its flaws and strengths. In 1776 the Declaration of Independence was signed by our founding fathers, which declared independence from Britain. Thomas Jefferson, the founding father who wrote the declaration, had a set point of view of government and wanted to perfect it as much as possible. It was not all about government and its power to him. Jefferson believed that the people had rights over the government and that having a form of government was a necessity to prevent tyranny.
The American Declaration of Independence has affected the foundation of the United States more than any other event or document in American history. The Declaration of Independence was the basis for what the country was established on. The document was a way for the colonists to emancipate themselves from the cruelty of King George. This document had such an impacting effect because it was such a new way of bringing up concerns. It was the first of its kind in the history of America in the aspect of liberation of a group of people.
The Declaration of Independence was an important document in American history but it does not mean that it gained us our true freedom. It was a document that was written and signed on July 4th, 1776. The men that signed such as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson told the colonists that this was a sign of them splitting from Great Britain and becoming an independent nation thus being called the United States of America. The document was then sent over to Great Britain for King George to read. This possibly could have caused even more hostility between the colonists and Great Britain because of how the British completely ignored the document. It may be seen as an important aspect to the progression of the Revolutionary War but it also
The Declaration of Independence was the cornerstone of American freedom and equality. By writing this document, the American Colonies could now begin the process of starting a new way of life and a new government. Obviously, at the time the Declaration of Independence was written the concept of “equality” was more limited than it is today. Certainly, all members of colonial America did not share equal status. However the concepts of the Declaration of Independence have evolved more fully over the centuries
The Declaration of Independence is one of the most famous documents in the history of the United States of America. It helped the colonists declare independence from Great Britain and King George III. It is one of the documents that has made our country what it is today. Without the Declaration many things would be different. After reading this I hope you are able to see what these great men went through to make America’s founding document.
The declaration of Independence is what shaped and provided the freedom the United States of America has today. The Declaration of Independence today is looked at a symbol for America to reflect on as it paved the way for most of the rights we have today. This document has been fundamental to american history longer than any other text because it was the first text to use “The United States of America” and in a sense the Declaration was the birth certificate of the American nation. It embodied what came to be viewed as the most memorable and clear statement of the ideals on which America was founded: the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, while also the first successful declaration of independence in world history.

The Declaration of Independence is an obsolete, outdated, and (in our modern day and age,) a malevolent document. The last time the American people needed The Declaration of Independence was 252 years ago, and the reason for its need (and creation) was because of Great Britain's control over the united states. But now we are a free people, in a free nation, composed of states independent from tyranny. The Declaration is a pantheon of Greek gods, all but important, and shrouded in legend and mystery; it is a flashback to a forgotten time, and like the gods of ancient Greece it is a memory; it is the past. We do not need to live in the past anymore; after all, the declaration is obsolete, to you, to me, to the whole world.
The United States is in desperate need for your help, we need great generals to help us fight for our independence. How would it make you feel if you knew you contributed to America's freedom? As the Declaration of independence states, the king is tormenting our people by sending out his officers just to make our lives difficult. Do you really want to live like this? Do you want your child to have a terrible life and suffer? We must fight not only to give our own lives peace but for our child, a man in the Crisis once said, If there has to be trouble, let it come now, so that my child may live in peace. Think of the child and of their futures, look deep into your heart and look at how you wish your children's life to be. The faith of our new world is in our hands, and we must do everything we can to do the best we can with it. We must leave the king, he is absolutely terrible, he is a narcissist who only thinks of himself. The king doesn't care about you and you needs,he ruins everything for the sake of that he has the power to do so. Our king is essentially the devil's advocate, this is why we must leave him and end this.
The Declaration of independence is a written document which declared the freedom of the thirteen colonies from Great Britain, which is now known as the United States. It has paved the way for equality for all men and women. Creating freedom, the right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness for all. Which has played a role in effecting mass media for the better in today’s world.
The Declaration of Independence helped gain our natural rights, our equality, and our freedom everyone deserves in America on July 4th, 1776. For example, “A decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to separation.” (Jefferson, 1) clearly stated that no one can question or sent to jail by our opinions that our opinions count which, is an example of freedom of speech, that an enlightenment thinker named Voltaire believed in. This line allows us Americans say what we want to say without being penalized. The Declaration of
