The Triwizard Tournament almost ruined the friendship between three best friends: Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. First, there were many things going on in Hogwarts while the tournament: Voldemort is back, each character has personal issues, Harry cannot focus on competition and cannot handle the conflict between Hermione and Ron. Ron is jealous of Viktor Krum because he went with Hermione to the ball. As I understood, Ron has feelings for Hermione but does not show it by fighting and arguing with her, and acting silly, however, Harry notices that. “Well,[Ron] spluttered, looking thunderstruck, ‘well - that just proves - completely missed the point -’
Harry didn't say anything. He liked being back on speaking terms with Ron too much to speak his mind right now - but he somehow thought that Hermione had got the point much better than Ron had.”(432) “Just because it's taken

Once entering Hogwarts, the student will be sorted in one of the four houses called as follow: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. To decide what house the student belongs to, the professor uses the sorting hat to determine what house they belong to. The sorting hat is what the muggles don’t have and stated by the website Pottermore, “It literally contains the intelligence of the four founders, can speak (through a rip near its brim) and is skilled at Legimency, which enables it to look into the wearer’s head and divine his or her capabilities or mood.” (J.K. Rowling) what it means is the hat uses its power to uncover the person’s thoughts and see his/her talents and that is how Harry Potter got sorted into Gryffindor. In Hogwarts, the sport that is well known and is a wizard favorite is called “Quidditch” and it is played in the muggle world as well, but in the wizard world it is played with broomsticks. This sport is played rough since there are no rules in the wizard world and both teams want to win points for their houses. The game can be called automatically over if the seeker catches the golden snitch (a golden ball with wings) and it will be worth one hundred fifty points for their house which is important to them and as the school
Throughout the world of Harry Potter, the power of maternal love has been portrayed as being vital and tremendous. From Harry Potter’s mother sacrificing herself for Harry’s life to Molly Weasley defending her daughter – Ginny Weasley’s life in the Hogwarts battle, the role of a mother has always been that of a guardian angel that is willing to sacrifice her life for her daughter or son. Without maternal love through infancy, one would lack a sense of attachment, face trouble establishing relationships and grasping the concept of affection during adolescence and adulthood. Most Harry Potter characters were blessed with a mother, yet the two grand protagonist and antagonist – Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort are two exceptions. Both of their mothers, Lily Potter and Merope Gaunt, passed away at their infancy, yet while Harry Potter became great and righteous, Lord Voldemort became the most notorious Dark wizard of all time – one whose heart lacked compassion, who reeks with hatred and consumed in rage. In this essay, we will compare and contrast the effect of the lack of maternal influence on both Voldemort and Harry Potter, and also the importance of maternal love on different characters in the wizardry world.
In “Recitatif,” a short story by Toni Morrison, Twyla and Roberta have their ups and downs. First meeting in a shelter where they were both dropped off, the two develop a friendship. As they grow older, the two will occasionally run into each other, sometimes things would go well and other times they would not. And almost every time they do meet up, there is something mentioned about Maggie. No matter how upsetting the encounter was with Roberta, Twyla was always able to hold her ground. This goes to show that Twyla is independent, clever, and stubborn which made her a stronger person.

An epic fantasy and a gloomy ranch life. True friends will never fade away. Or will it? Friendships and their outcome get very subjective evaluations. Both Steinbeck and Tolkien’s books: “Of Mice and Men” and “The Fellowship of the Rings” deal with a consistent theme of friendship. Although each author has their own distinct way of communicating their ideas, these books show similar views on the strength, consequences and limitations of friendship.

Hermione and Harry help each other with their strengths and abilities. Upon arriving at Hogwarts, Hermione always wanted to do everything by the rules. Sometime during the year, she realized that friendship can be more important. Hermione explains, “ ‘Please, Professor McGonagall –they were looking for me. I went looking for the troll because I –I thought I could deal with it on my own…’ ” (120). For the first time ever, Hermione has lied to a teacher. This begins the turning point where Hermione, Harry,
In her novels Rowling always makes us sympathize with Harry. In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry is the youngest contestant in the tournament. As opposed to the others he has little knowledge on how to perform most spells and relies solely on skill. His fear is therefore grounded. The movie does nothing but strengthen this idea. In the movie we actually get to see Harry’s expressions, for example, when his name is thrown out of the Goblet. Likewise, Dumbledore’s rage and shock as well as the students surprise and anger make us understand how dangerous the tournament is. Professor McGonagall’s genuine concern for Harry solidifies this fear. It is also very obvious in the movie that Harry is maturing. Not only does he look taller and bigger than in the previous movies; his actions are a lot wiser too. His modesty with
"POTTER!" I yelled from the bottom of my lungs. My face filled with fury as I dropped my robe quickly to hide my scarred leg from him. I thought Harry Potter was going to end up finding information he shouldn’t if he keeps being the noisy kid he is.
