The textile and apparel industry is one of the oldest and largest industries. The textile and apparel industry plays an important role in the United States manufacturing system. “Displaced textile and apparel workers, like employed textile and apparel workers, were more likely to be female than all displaced U.S. workers, and also were less likely to have a high school diploma and less likely to be a U.S. citizen” (USDA, 2014). There is one dependent variable to exemplify in this project, which is the U.S. textile employment rate and three independent variables related to the U.S. textile employment rate, including workforce gender, labor cost (wages), and ethnicity.
The eastern of the United States tends to have much more textile employed workers than in the west coast of the United States. North Carolina and South Carolina have highest textile industries employment rate. Alabama, Georgia, and New Hampshire have moderate high textile industries employment rate while Maryland, Florida, and Indiana have low textile industries employment rate. Most of the state locate at the middle part and western of the U.S. have low employment rate. States with low employment rate are Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Louisiana, Florida, Arkansas, Iowa, Michigan, Maryland, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, and Minnesota.

Ten Tree is a North American clothing company that was founded by two entrepreneurs Dave Luba and Kalen Emsley (Gamble et al. 2). The clothing company 's main goal is to be, first most, an environmental company that plants trees, with its main goal being 10 trees planted for every product sold (Gamble et al. 6). By being an environmentally friendly clothing company, they plan to change the clothing industry with their unique product offering, environmental aid through reforestation, manufacturing through green energy and products, and the social environment from their business model (TenTree, “Commitment”).
To begin with, I love all types of garments especially the fitty garments. There are many other fabrics besides cotton and polyester that I like too. For an example, silk fabric and linen fabric.
