“Once upon a time, there was a girl of wondrous beauty, with eyes of gold, hair soft as silk, lips red as roses, a bright smile of sunshine and a voice that flowed as smooth as a river. Even with all of her beauty, she remained separated by the rest of the world. She was lonely and lovely, and none dared to talk to her for fear of losing themselves in her golden eyes. Equally as enchanting was her voice, leaving her words to pour out in a wonderful melody like a song that threatened to entrance those that listened. Because of this, she was left to talk to herself, as others feared too much of becoming enthralled by her words to listen. There was another girl, whose eyes were made out of copper, her hair of clouds, and her tears fell like the rain. When she cried, the whole world cried with her, making puddles to splash in, and allowing flowers to grow. When she was angry, the world flooded villages. She was also beautiful, but in a colder way. She was frightening and sad. One day, they met, and the girl whose head was in the clouds became a little less sad, and the girl whose smile was sunshine became a little less alone. However, they were torn apart by heavy winds and a demon with a name that when it was spoken, inspired fear in the hearts of those who heard it. Thrown into different worlds, they had no way of getting back to one another. They were even more alone than before, as they had now befriended another person, and all they wanted was to get back to one

Out of the darkness, rivers of brilliant light and color began to flow all around her, as if a dam holding back a rainbow had miraculously burst. Then she heard the music... a melody so beautiful it tugged at her very soul. It was as if the euphony clothed her in an impenetrable blanket. She felt warm. She felt safe. Uncontrollably, tears welled up, the hymn gripping her heart, and she was forced to squeeze her eyes shut and instinctively her body curled into a protective ball.

The Source “Beauty” by Jane Martin will primarily be used in the introduction paragraph as it helps shape the reason why I chose the story. It will also help readers get a feel on what the essay is going to be about. For the first body paragraph I will use the source “What is the Central Conflict in the Play ‘Beauty’ By Jane Martin?”. The reason I will primarily use this source for the first paragraph is because it helps explain the plot better and identifies the conflict.
I was never very interested in my grandmother’s stories about her childhood. The stories were long and the only thing that they taught me were how to smile and nod so the elderly woman in front of me did not feel bad. Her voice was the only reason that I came to her house anymore. The melodic tone that danced around the room filling it with happiness and golden mellifluous sound that once adorned these gray white trimmed walls, but the woman sitting in front of me was not the one in that pictures that adorned these walls. No, the woman sitting in front of me was a wrinkled and defeated version of the great woman that is featured in thee pictures. She sat there just staring at me with her glazed over eyes that showed her age. She opened her mouth and the sonorous words began to come out, but I payed no attention. All I cared about was that wonderful voice.
Once upon a time, there was a boy who loved a girl, and her laughter was a question he wanted to spend his whole life answering. It frightened him to think of what must have gone into making her eyes for her beauty was sublime. There are darknesses in life and there are lights, and she was one of the lights that bettered other lights. He would dream of a time when together, they would take a walk back to the East of Eden.
He would warm up leftover food for her instead of cooking her a meal, he would leave his dirty dishes lying around for her to clean up, and would take her out to dinner but make her pay for it. Anastasia’s family could see that Gage was very controlling and manipulative of her. Some of Anastasia’s ancestors lived in tiny quaint cottages as well as some of her very close friends. Anastasia had an interest of art and often enjoyed getting up early in the morning to draw. When Anastasia walked down the cobblestone street to her favorite drawing spot, she would find herself lost in mesmerization by all of the enchanting sights. The way the water glistened when the sun hit on the small ponds, the cows in the fields drinking water, the sweet smell of the morning dew on the grass, the and hay being cut in the fields in the fall. But one of her most favorite things to do in the mornings was to sing. Anastasia loved to sing everywhere, and she especially loved love songs. She would hum all of the way down to her drawing spot and would constantly think of all of the pretty sights along the way. She was a happy girl but on the inside she was breaking because of the way her boyfriend was treating
I remember the day just like it was yesterday, the pale color and coldness of her skin. The sky was clear blue, soft, with a touch of red, and the trees seemed stiff in their bright green shade. The wind was blowing with its humid dry air. And All I could do was stand silently in disbelief, caught up in my own thoughts and calm as I ever been. Wondering what I could have done differently to change the course of time, life had taken us upon. Since that very day a chunk of my heart was ripped away, and broken into pieces… “Oh how I miss her so much.”
Beauty has been a word that people use to described objects, things and most important people. Beauty can be defined in so many ways. The play “Beauty” written by Jane Martin has more than just one meaning. The author uses beauty to be her main objective that makes almost every situation in the play revolve around “beauty.” Being that beauty is considered something almost all women want and it can lead to devastation when you get greedy and envious about it, as it did to both Carla and Bethany.
A lonely girl sat on the hill the wind blowing her all this way and that, the cold numbing her hands and feet; however, this wasn’t what was making the tears fall down her cheeks – sticking to her face. It was the loneliness inside of her that she couldn’t express except through her tears that made her feel empty. All she needed was a hug, a loving word, and all would feel right, but no one came. This was the little girl I meet when I went on a mission trip to Palau. She would drive all her teachers crazy with her outbursts of energy or rage; but as I got to know her and drew closer to her during my time there, she began to open up and let me into her life. I learned that she came from a broken home where the word “love” was rarely, if ever,
This essay is for women who believe their thighs are too big, their breasts are too small, their hair is boring, their skin is flawed, their body is shaped funny, or their clothes are outdated. This month's column is for women who believe their life would improve if they could lose 15 pounds; if they could afford contact lenses, that new perfume or anti-cellulite concoction; if they got a nose job, a face lift, a tummy tuck, etc. This month's column is for women who feel shame or unhappiness when they ponder some part (or all) of their body. In other words, this month's column is for 99.9% of the women reading it!
Wordsworth’s persona’s reliance on the melancholy sound of the maiden’s song also forces him to open his mind and his ears, leaving him free from any possible language-based influence and entirely enraptured by the sheer loveliness of the lass’s simple, soul-filled music.
What is beauty? How do we decide who is attractive and who is not? Society is full of information telling us what is beautiful, but what fact is that information based on? The topic of beauty has been studied, analyzed and controversial for centuries. We all know the feeling you can have when you hear a beautiful song that brings joy to your heart, stand in a field of flowers that excites your eyes, or admire a face that is visually pleasing. As human beings, we are all drawn to beauty, but what is it that makes something beautiful? The controversial issue that surrounds beauty is that some believe that true beauty is defined by someone’s outer appearance, while others believe it is something that is experienced through a person’s
Natural beauty, in this day and age, is a term that has many definitions because it is a controversial term. With the way people dress, act, and express themselves, it is extremely hard to find the true denotation of natural beauty. This is also true with the growing popularity in makeup in both genders. When asked to define it, people have formed their own opinions of the term along with the commonly known denotation, connotation, synonyms, and antonyms. The definition of the term also can be described and derived from my personal experiences along with others’. Though there is much evidence for and against the belief, natural beauty is more than what’s on the outside.
