Ancient Egypt was part of the seven indicators because Egypt represented all of the seven indicators of civilization such as trade, specialization of labor, record keeping, religion, government, cities, and social classes. One of the seven indicators is Government. There are many powers and rulers in ancient Egypt. One of the most powerful people in ancient Egypt is the Pharaoh. The Pharaoh was the political and the most religious person over all Egyptians. He is the person who got the names ‘ Lord of the Two Lands’ and ‘The Highest Priest of Every Temple’. When ancient Egyptians went to battle they hardly wore any armor when they went to battle because of the heat. When the Egyptian went to battle the weapons used were bows, sowards, sickle sword, khopesh sword, axes, spears, throwing sticks, and the chariots. The warrior all used these tools to fight is some wars but not many. After all of the Paraphos that have ruled in ancient Egypt, few of them have been successful in reaching a goal. King Tut (Tutankhamun) lived a short life and quickly faded into the sands of Egypt. He is layed out in Egypt greatest icons. Another indicator is religion. Egypt has many religious valuables like amulets, sacred animals, temple, gods, goddess, kings, and death and burial. Sacred animal are so important to Egyptian because they were used for their products that they gave to the Egypt. When another Egyptian dies they dry the body and preserve the body. The Egyptian believe after the
The Egyptian rulers and the Ancient Near East rulers had very similar ideas and values. Both used art to convey how important and influential they were. They both believed in being the biggest and most well known ruler. The differences between them are in their attempts at “immortality”. While the Ancient Near East rulers tried to portray themselves as Gods, the Egyptian rulers demanded to be treated like Gods. The Egyptian rulers were the pinnacle of rich. They had more wealth than absolutely anyone, and many of them were buried in Pyramids.
Ancient Egypt, specifically the Ptolemaic empire, was a very interesting time period with many different qualities than we’re used to. It was a time with more conflict and different rulers and groups coming into1. It was a time when rulers were considered kings or queens because woman were also able to rule. This also means that their governmental system was different from ours because they were ruled under a monarch2. Instead of voting someone into power, their ruling system was hereditary. This means that the first son or daughter of the previous ruler would become the next ruler after their parent stepped down3. With a new empire came new cultural changes too, like the creation of a new god. This was another difference between our world
Also, everyone is equal within the law, so if a wealthy or high-class man stole a good they would be treated and have the same consequences as a nonwealthy or low-class man. I think that showed that they have a well-organized government because in there rules incorrect actions or doings have consequences because if they didn’t there civilization would be all out of order. The pharaoh was the leader of all five indicators. The pharaoh was very important, they had the job to be the leader of Egypt. The reason that the pharaoh being the leader of Egypt is important because the people of Egypt have a leader to listen to and follow.
Ancient Egypt had a strong and well-organized government for many reasons. Pharaohs are exemplary when it comes to representing a well-organized government. They are the top dogs of Egypt. These rulers had dynasties which ruled over Egypt, sort of like the Caracalla dynasty of Rome. There were over 30 dynasties in Egypt. An instance of a dynasty was king Ramesses the second. Additionally, there were rules to being a pharaoh and how these rulers are proclaimed. This shows well-organized government because it is preventing people from randomly declaring themselves pharaoh and keeps the citizen of Egypt in line. One rule, for example, is that a Pharaoh could have many wives, but only one could be the great wife. The great wife’s son would be the
Ancient Egypt was an organized civilization because it used several of the seven indicators of civilization. One way that ancient Egypt showed civilization was through its government. Ancient Egypt was first ruled by the Pharaoh. The Pharaoh was the most powerful person it ancient Egypt. The Pharaoh was the leader of government, and religion.
Ancient Egypt was a complex civilization because it had all of the important 7 indicators. They are government, religion, skills and jobs and cities trade, record keeping social classes. I research three indicators they are government, religion and skills and jobs. I’ll start with government, you see Every complex society needs a well-organized government. In Egypt, there are many important people in the government.
In the beginning, we were hunters and gathers. Then, we started settling and farming. Our population started rising, so we needed more food to live. We put ourselves at river valleys to have water; Egypt ended up at the Nile river valley. Over time they developed the seven indicators of a great civilization: Well Organized Government, Complex Religion, Specialized Skills and Jobs, Social Classes, Long Distance Trade, Methods of Keeping Records, and Cities. This is how Ancient Egypt became a great, complex civilization because it shows all of the seven indicators.
During ancient Egypt, civilization was brought about because the people picked a ruler, or king. “Two of the most important sources of life for the ancient Egyptians were the Nile River and the Pharaoh” (William). At the time, society was very hierarchical; the society was divided into two groups: the privileged people and the majority. The king kept control and managed everything ranging from politics to religion.
Organized Religion, Exquisite Art, and a structured Government demonstrate that Ancient Egypt was a highly advanced culture. Religion in ancient Egypt was both organized and successful in ways of life and ceremonial occasions. Egyptian art was detailed, exquisite and represented how much art showed and was cared for. Government in Ancient Egypt depended on rulers and the form of democracy.
In most Shakespearian tragedies, the hero possesses a character trait which under normal circumstances would be a virtue, but which under the special circumstances of the play proves to be a fatal flaw. Macbeth consists of several situations where the hero portrays many such qualities that drive him to commit wrong actions. Macbeth’s desires convinced him to ignore the impact of his actions. In addition, his doubtfulness controlled his consciousness and finally his blindness affected his aptitude to seek reality. An analysis of Macbeth’s actions and behaviour reveals that Macbeth should be justified as a tragic hero validating the belief that he possesses several fatal flaws which eventually resulted in his downfall.
The first Indicator is a well-organized government. Egypt was ruled by a Pharaoh who was their king the job of the pharaoh was passed down from father to son. However, Pharaohs can be girls. Most of their political decisions were impacted by their religion. The Pharaoh was the head of the government. The Pharaoh was their king he had no equal, to the Egypt's he was a god in human form so he made all the imported detection. The job of Pharaoh was pasted
A civilization is a place defined by its culture, its characteristics, and its social structure. There are many important characteristics of a civilization, but if it had to come down to 3 of them I would say social class, writing, and government are most important.Even though technology is an important characteristic to civilization I believe that social class, writing, and government are most important.
Gold is the number one mineral produced by the Philippines in value terms. Although total local production was low relative to world production, it ranked 2nd to Africa in gold production per unit land area in 1988 and ranked 29th as top gold producer in 2002(Israel and Asirot 2002). In the year 2002–2007, the Philippines’ gold production increased by 8.2%. This contributed an average of 2% gross domestic product (GDP) in the same period. The country was ranked 18th in the GFMs Gold Survey list of top 20 Gold Producing countries in 2007 (Teves 2008). The 2008 and 2009 data of the Philippine mining Almanac showed a significant amount of gold production by the
Before focusing on the civilization in Mesopotamia and Egypt, it is essential to understand some of the characteristic features of this civilization. According to Brophy James et al, there are ten main indicators of civilization. They include irrigation agriculture, organized religions and places of worship, social stratification or classes, metallurgy or Bronze Age civilizations, increase in commercial activities such as trade, city or states, and monumental architecture (Brophy et al, 72).
First and foremost, Ancient Egypt was structured in the form of a pyramid. The top of the pyramid of course was the gods. These gods included Ra, Osiris, and Iris, and according to the people of Egypt, these gods controlled almost the entire earth. Leaders in Egypt were called pharaohs so they were believed to be Gods in human form which is amazing. The ruler in status were powerful nobles and priests. Only nobles could hold government posts and in those positions they profited from tributes paid to the pharaoh. Priests were responsible for pleasing the gods. While soldiers fought in wars or quelled domestic uprisings. When there was no war to fight, the soldiers supervised
