The sacrifices a soldier makes does not only happen on the battlefield, it happens in their home too. My dad is in the Coast Guard and sometimes would leave for months at a time while he was aboard a Coast Guard cutter. He is now at the MSST in St Mary's but sometime still has to go on deployments. It is amazing that these selfless people risk everything just for us. It takes a really couragous person to do that. These amazing soldiers are protecting us and our country. Veterans are courageous people they will do everything they can to keep our country safe and our freedom alive. If you have grandparents, a mom, or a dad that is in the Army, Coast Guard, Navy, Marines,or Air Force take the time to say thank you for your service. All veterans
The reason why I appreciate America’s Veterans, is because they do everything for our country. We all should appreciate every single American Veteran. They risk their lives for us mostly every single day.
Veterans put their life on the line to help defend our country because it’s something they feel they need to do. They are very inspiring people. Most people don’t have the courage to go to war. The men and women who are so courageous are once in a lifetime people who have amazing stories to tell. Our freedom would not exist if it weren’t for veterans.
Veterans are important in my life because of a lot of things. I have a few
Veterans are brave to have even thought of going out to war. Bravery is one if the main things to have in order to do something so terrifying. I am so glad that there are people willing to miss out on quite a bit to fight for the country.
“The soldier above all others prays for peace, for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war”.- General Douglas MacArthur. General Douglas was a Chief of Staff in World War II. This quote was said to mean that the soldiers who never gave up and gave it there all even if they got hurt they keep going. Veterans are our Americans heroes because they sacrificed their lives, gave us freedom, and gave up all there time to fight.
I have maybe four people (that I know of) that are veterans that I’m related to. All of my great grand fathers served. I have a friend that is a graduate from VMI(Virginia Military Institute).
Our nation past was, well, not always perfect. Without some of our veterans, our country wouldn’t be as free as it is. Veterans continue to make our country a free country, which also makes it a better place to live in. Veterans stood up for our country; whether the ones forced to go during the draft, or the ones who voluntarily go. Whether the cause, they were always ready to go and fight for the people’s freedom. We really do see how great these people are, I mean, they risked their life for ours to be
Despite the fact that only one day of the year is dedicated solely to honoring our veterans, our heroes,. I just want to say thank you for the sacrifices you and your families are making. For putting your lives on the line to protect the freedoms that we enjoy and for dedicating your lives to our country. Every veteran deserves to be recognized for their
Not many people would withstand having to go off to war knowing their life was on the line. There is much respect and gratitude inclined towards those who did and sacrificed everything they had. Our cordially veterans - the ones who fought and endured the bestial wars, the ones who knew they could fall at any moment, the ones who, despite the horror and fear
These past and present veterans are vital to the survival of the U.S. They make it possible for us to have a life worry free, to the thought of danger. Without past generations of veterans we would be living in a country full of awful things. Veterans help to protect the children and people, by keeping
We honor our veterans because every day they put their lives on the line to protect our country; to preserve the freedom of this great land. Without question, without hesitation, these brave people come forth every day to help defend the 350 million people
America gave my generation Freedom and the right to vote. My generation should respect the veterans more and we should be thankful for our freedom. My generation should respect the veterans more because the fought for the rights we have today we should be thankful, we should not take granit for it. Another thing is that they fought and they lost their brother and they fought on even though they were mourning on their loss. The last thing is why should you disrespect your veterans without them we would not have the rights we have today.
Those who are veterans are those who fought in the wars and those who leaded the troops. Today we honor those who are no longer with us and those who are. We honor them because they fought and saved us from rivalries that were careless about us but our veterans stood up for us until we were safe. If you read history books about the american war you might’ve found that some men were under a lot of stress while training. But the thing that makes them special is they were the brave ones, some men didn’t meet the standards required but some men started training lifting those weights to meet those standards and try again. There are wise and caring people in the world and some times you may have to look for them because they are out
It is important to remember how much of daily life is affected by the work of veterans. Walking on streets, going to school, eating at restaurants, and hanging out with friends all depend on the service of veterans. They may not receive the proper amount of recognition from the younger generations, but their work is appreciated. In actuality, they gained vital information that can be shared with the future generations. They have gained respect and honor for their duty for our
The men and women who helped shape the face of this country through their honor, legacy, and patriotism are those we call veterans. They are our dads, moms, uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters; they are our family. Yet, we constantly overlook their desire and passion for this country. The gratitude that they deserve is not shown towards them, as it should be. I thank all veterans for their
