Elizabeth Proctor is a developing character throughout the movie because, when the movie begins she more of this quiet, sophisticated, well behaved woman who is very loyal and true to her word and has never told a lie in her life.
Goody Proctor in my opinion didn’t really change until the end of the movie when I thought she would dish John Proctor because of his affair with Abigail but she is loving and forgiving which a side I never expected to see.
Abigail in my opinion is fully the blame of how all this started in the first place.
She is not a victim in the crucible because she committed witchcraft and I truly believe she started it all with leading the girls to the forest and then killing a chicken and drinking its blood.

“Whatever you do, it is a good man who does it.” This quote was said by Elizabeth Proctor, a character in The Crucible. Here Elizabeth is saying that her husband is a good man which shows that she has finally forgiven him for the affair he had earlier in the play. Elizabeth Proctor is a good Christian woman who is very honest. She is married to John Proctor but keeps a cold house ever since John had the affair with Abigail Williams. Elizabeth is accused of witchcraft when Abigail is stabbed in the stomach and they then find a poppet with a needle in it belonging to Elizabeth. I consider myself to have similar characteristics with Elizabeth Proctor because we are both caring, forgiving, and honest.
Goody Proctor, also known as Elizabeth Proctor, is the wife of John Proctor. Abigail Williams accused Goody Proctor of witchcraft. Abigail Williams was found with a needle in her stomach the same place where a needle was stuck in a poppet, in the belly. When she first heard she was accused of witchcraft it was like she already knew she would be accused "She wants me dead. I knew all week it would come to this!"
Because Jealousy could lead a person to comment a crime, Abigail is motivated by jealousy of Elizabeth Proctor, “She thinks to dance with me on my wife’s grave!” (Page 194, Miller), and so she can marry John Proctor. She believes John loves her but he is still with his wife.
John Proctor's wife, Elizabeth Proctor is wrongly accused of witchcraft. Elizabeth Proctor is innocent of witchcraft.
The crucible is a story about witchcraft, it takes place in the 1600’s in a British Colony of Massachusetts. During this time witch hunts swept through Europe, resulting in many people being killed.
In Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, people in Salem, Massachusetts experience a barrage of court trials in which people were persecuted and sentenced to death. These persecutions divided families and divided communities, but for some, there were opposing results. John and Elizabeth Proctor, who are in a struggling relationship, undergo an unusual change in one another. At first, John and Elizabeth Proctor are a couple that is uncomfortable around each other. John Proctor was committing adultery with their household servant named Abigail Williams.
In The Crucible, written by Arthur Miller John Proctor and Elizabeth Proctor’s relationship changes from the beginning to the end because, John commits adultery, John goes to kiss her and she doesn’t kiss him back, they show affection towards each other at the end. Relationships are hard especially after the significant other cheats, they don’t feel good enough about themselves and it’s hard to recover. In the play, the Proctors are focused on fixing their relationship and keeping Elizabeth out of the trials. When Elizabeth is accused John fights to get Elizabeth out of jail and he wouldn’t allow them to chain her up. It was never John’s purpose to hurt Elizabeth, he truly loves her. Elizabeth just wants to be good enough for John.
The Crucible by Arthur Miller is a great play when discussing developing characters. Throughout the four acts the accusations, affairs, and beliefs cause the characters to change and reveal their true selves. Elizabeth Proctor starts off as cold and uncaring, but throughout the play readers see her passion for her husband and life.
John Proctor is a Dynamic character due to his actions and language applied in the play determined the dynamic fitting. Proctor's character changed dramatically from the beginning of the play till the end. An important event that changed Proctors behaviour and ways, was his wife Elizabeth being accused during the trials. If it was not for that certain event then Proctor would might have not changed. Proctor is also put under a fault of committing adultery when the 10 commandments strictly say it is unlawful. Due to his wrong doing this has caused the relationship of Elizabeth and
Elizabeth Proctor has a complex role in Arthur Miller’s The Crucible. Elizabeth Proctor was married to the adulterous John Proctor. She finds it painful that her Husband committed adultery with their young worker Abigail Williams. Elizabeth didn’t forgive her Husband she just dealt with him because back then she couldn’t leave her husband he had to leave her so yea, she just dealt with him. Elizabeth Proctor has a conflict with Abigail Williams.
Elizabeth Proctor Have you ever been hurt, or conflicted because of something from the past? That’s what has happened to John Proctor to make Elizabeth Proctor feel this way. Her husband, John Proctor hurt Elizabeth, when he commits adultery in The Crucible by Arthur Miller. During the story, Elizabeth Proctor endures multiple experiences by, extreme conflict, exploring her actions, elaborates motivations, and enacts changes. Elizabeth faces extreme conflict during The Crucible when she figures out her husband, John Proctor lies to her about being alone with Abigail the night they talk when Elizabeth asking "You were alone with her?"
She even said, “it needs a cold wife to prompt lechery”, (Miller 137). around the end of the play. One reason she distrusts John, is that he has claimed he was not alone with her. He later says that he was, in fact, alone with her for a short while. It takes a person of strength to be able to take that lie he gave and still control herself in the manner a wife should do. It was her inner strength that showed her that “it were a cold house she kept”(Miller 136). and needed to fix that problem.

all faith in him, she feels that he does not want to prove Abigail is
Elizabeth is also strong and courageous. When John is accused of witchcraft, Elizabeth is willing to follow along with the decision John decides about whether he wants to confess or not. She knows if he confesses he will be living a lie and if he tells the truth, he will be put to death. Although the decision John makes will affect Elizabeth and she wants John alive, she is courageous towards John by showing her support and love. Elizabeth knows she must put her opinions to the side and John must construct this decision on his own. Elizabeth states, “I cannot judge you, John, I cannot” (Miller). Elizabeth is also strong because she was falsely accused by Abigail and
