The Nazi party affected many people around the world through both the Holocaust and World War II. Hitler had a plan to exterminate all the Jews, and propelled this idea through the Holocaust putting Jews in concentration camps and killing them. Hitler's evil plan caused one of the world's biggest tragedies, World War II.

The confidence in Germany from the people was lacking due to the fresh memory of their defeat in World War I. This caused great need of a new leader, someone who could give the people change, and Adolf Hitler knew he could do just that. His rapid rise to power began when he started to promise things that intrigued the German people. He promised the hopeless and needy a better life, and promised opportunities that were exactly what the people needed. This caught the attention of so many young unemployed and middle class people. William L. Shirer wrote The Berlin Diary, The Rise and Fall of Adolf Hitler, A Natives Return, etc. William is a national book award winning author. William L. Shirer typically writes nonfiction books. The Rise and fall of the Third Reich was a nonfiction book. William wrote this book to inform people about the many horrific and glorious things that were happening in Germany. One could conclude that he wrote this book for Americans to read. One could also believe he wrote this book for anyone who wanted to be informed about the commotion in Germany. The Rise and fall of the Third Reich is an extremely interesting title. If you are young and you aren’t really informed about the history in Germany the title could be very confusing. After reading the book you can easily tell that the title is perfect for the book. If you read it carefully it tells exactly what the book will be about. The Third Reich is another name for the Nazi party. One can conclude that the title of the book is a hint to the
