Which should it be “distant” or “proximate”? Encarta dictionary defines balance as a state in which two opposing factors are of equal importance so that they effectively cancel each other out and stability is maintained. (Microsoft nd) The balanced result of what is “distant” and “proximate” relationships can be set so that stability is maintained and is the answer to the question posed concerning the relationship between policymaker and IC that both “distant” and “proximate” relationships can afford stability and flourish gaining a stronger IC product that is more useful to the policymaker. Where is intelligence going to succeed? Success will be found in the balance between the two relationship types, a balance that checks the cons and extenuates the pros from both sides of proximate and distant relationships, bringing to the table the best of both worlds. In a “distance” relationship there is a reliable idea that biases are removed or lessened and that the analyst has a freer control to explore and create models of potential outcomes and affiliation. Within the context of a “proximate” relationship, there is the interaction between the policymaker and IC where ideas are brought to the attention of the analyst contributing to a “focused analysis which improves relevance, timing and substance”, proving a dynamic and healthy relationship. (Gates 1987) There must be a trust in the professionalism within the IC and the ability to maintain an unbiased attitude, understanding
These factors reduce the risk of abuse when multi-agency working as the legal framework ensures all staff and care professionals involved in providing care protect and safeguard their patients, it also ensures all professionals deliver high-quality care. These guarantees the quality of care provided is effective, safe and assures the patient has had a positive experience.
My own work is influenced by national factors such and codes of practice, national occupational standards and legislation and government initiatives so that we the best quality of care and support to our clients. It is very important to understand and acknowledge all policies and rules so that you can do your job correctly and professionally. If we didn’t following these codes of practice then the level of care would be poor and people wouldn’t understand or know what good quality of care is.
You must be able to understand what the person requires, act on it from the initial information until the matter is concluded, pass on the information to the relevant person/s to ensure the patient’s needs are met, this process takes time to have faith in your colleagues, to challenge them if you feel the right
There are many reasons as to why each stage is implemented into the policies and procedures. Having guidelines and policies into place will allow everyone to understand that they must take the precautions with those who are infected with this disease. Health care providers must provider their services to those who are having issues such as HIV/AIDS on a personal level to allow them to feel comfortable to talk about the issue
Patient access to affordable health care is an ongoing issue in the United States. The first portion of the policy process involves three different stages, the formulation stage, legislative stage, and the implementation stage. Three main stages exist in the process to transform a topic into a policy (Morone, J. A., Litman, T. J., & Robins, L.S., 2008). Coupled with the implementation stage is an evaluation of all the stages to determine effectiveness and gather information for use in future public health care policy making. In the formulation stage, the ideas, concepts, and information steam from this process of policy making. The
It is crucial for the ICD and CPT codes match with the services rendered or a claim will be rejected,
We have to always make sure that we respect confidential information and clearly explain to any angency workers about policies relating to confidnentialy
In recent years our newspapers, televisions, and radios have been inundated with news stories about sexual offenders and sexual predators. Stories such as the kidnapping and murder of Polly Klass, Carlie Brucia, Amber Hagerman, and Jessica Lunsford have shocked the nation. Sex offenders and predators commit despicable acts; however, their acts seem more despicable when they are committed upon the most venerable members of our society, our children. Even with the new Jessica Lunsford legislation in Florida some citizens feel that it is not enough to keep their communities safe. Many cities are now looking at limiting the areas in which sex offenders and predators can live in hopes of protecting children. Many
In the United States, Veteran’s health care at an economical rate is a continuous debate. It is warranted that the health care should improve at a constant rate to uphold the health needs of veterans, new and old. Government has the veterans association (VA) and with all the help it has available for veterans there are still times when that care is not enough. There are so many individuals that are without health care because of one reason for another and it leaves many injured and hurt veterans without the care they need and deserve. Better access to health for veterans, men and women is important since many new problems such as PTSD have become better understood and need more focus and to be better
You must work with colleagues to monitor the quality of your work and maintain the safety of those in your care
Is the United States of America run by the few chosen elites who dominate the policymaking? Or do you believe that you have a say over your countries lawmaking and policymaking decisions? Some might believe so and argue that we do and that we live in a democracy controlled country which allows all citizens to take part of all laws passed and have a say on what goes on in this country. Others, however, might argue that this country is run by the so-called few elites, who have control over all decisions and laws that get passed throughout the country. I, however, disagree with this claim. I believe that the people have control over policymaking in this republic democracy country, and the people’s voices are heard and not ignored when it comes
The quality inside the operation is also important. If someone makes a mistake within the operation, time and money must be spent correcting this mistake.
For excellence to be possible, an organization must identify and resolve flaws. First, the organization has to define “normal” so that someone can recognize an abnormal flaw in the system. Someone must be dedicated to responding to these abnormalities and they must have the scope to resolve the issue. That person must be readily available and determine what is wrong with the system and not what is wrong with the provider. To resolve these issues, time and resources must be dedicated to these tasks. These steps can help achieve quality, cost, and value (Spear, 2011).
Centres must comply with standards set by awarding bodies for delivery of qualifications and keep an auditable track of all systems to provide evidence of competency. Once verification has taken place, the assurer acts as guarantor that the national standards have been met.
Policy cycle is a valuable device for new policy development. It is a tool which divides complex procedures into convenient and manageable steps. These individual steps provides a frame work andantedates any forthcoming issues related to policy development. However, as Althaus, Bridgman & Davis (2013) said these steps are not stages that have to be followed in a same manner they are to help policy developers to individually assess, evaluate, process and provides room for corrections. These steps are flexible enough to incorporate any changes at the time of new policy development and as a part of continuous change once it is implemented. Colebatch (2006) said that changes are necessary for the use of contemporary information to reshape and review of any policy to achieve desirable outcome. Hence policy making is known as an ongoing process which represent its cyclic nature.
