Have you ever wondered why there are so many terrorist attacks in the United States? Why did the United States spends so much money on the military? This all happens due to a reason that the United States keep interfering into others countries’ problems, but most of the time nothing come out of it. Sometimes, the United States even make the problem become even worse. Just like the war in Iraq. The decisions made by the Presidents cause the problem getting worse day by day. Helping people out is a good thing, however, we should think about if that person need help or not. Which out the intervene of the United States, Iraq will not be in a situation like today. The United States will be less in debt and more money to fund other programs. There are more negative effects than positive effects when the United States meddles into others countries’ problems, so the United States should just ignore and stop worrying about those countries. …show more content…
Some people may argue that if United States ignored the problems in the world, then the problem may come to the U.S eventually. So, U.S should just deal with it right now, instead of waiting until later. Nonetheless, it’s true that for some problem if we do not deal with it now, it can become a larger problem later. However, even when U.S trying to help and deal with the problem it does not work. In an article shows that the United States with President Obama made many campaigns in order to stop the conflict in Iraq. But no matter what is the method, the war in Iraq will be dragged on for many years. Not to mention that while the Iraq still be in the piece when the conflict ended or not (Totten 17). This example proves that it is worthless to try to help out in the war in Iraq. Besides, the issue in Iraq does not really affect in such a large range that can eventually influence the United States. The U.S just doing useless things that mean
Homeland Security and law enforcement officials have several considerations that they must review before releasing information before, during, or after a terrorist’s attack on the public in a timely and accurate manner. Seemingly, this information may jeopardize an investigation or cause widespread panic among the people. Therefore, this information may be withheld from the public to safeguard national security to prevent the threat or scare the public further.
What if the Boston bombing never happened? If immigrants were forced to assimilate, events like the Boston bombing wouldn’t have happened. I believe that immigrants should be forced to assimilate into their new country. The Boston bombing was the result of two immigrants that let hatred take over themselves. The process of assimilation also helps each country’s economy to grow with a faster rate. But that is not all, assimilation keeps countries from dividing. From this, I believe immigrants should assimilate.
April 15, 2013 hundreds of innocent Americans were traumatized forever. The 117th annual Boston Marathon was hit with an act of terrorism. Two-hundred-sixty people lost their legs while three people lost their lives. On this day Americans realized how important security is. One thousand federal, state, and local law enforcement personnel sat down and watched surveillance footage for hours tracking the terrorist that caused the Boston Bombing to occur. April 18, 2013 the FBI released footage and images of suspects whose identity was once unknown to gain more knowledge. Due to security footage the men who committed the monstrous act were brought to justice. Without the public surveillance these terrorist would have never been found. Since World War II, the United States foreign policy has metastasised to a global level. The United States has taken the position as the global police. We have done countless interventions to “better” the good of the world and its people. Yet, it seems we have forgotten about Americans themselves, who have to deal with the enormous costs of these interventions. When a tyrannous dictator takes control of a country in some far flung part of the world, the United States steps in. We use American soldiers and taxpayers dollars to oust the dictator. Then when a vacuum is created we go back and fight the terrorist group which has taken over. This has happened too many times. It shows the weakness of our foreign policy system. The cost of our military, foreign interventions, and aid has gotten out of control for a country with looming debt problems. As of 2015, military spending has taken up fifty four percent of our discretionary spending, coming out to a total of $598.5 billion dollars (Nationalpriorities.org). Additionally, $195 billion is going outside the United States to fund foreign bases and aid (Politico.com). United
Tiara, I think you hit the nail right on the head. The United States government is a case in point that has helped a lot of countries and we continue to do so, on a regular base. We the people or government that the people elected help so much throughout the world because of our Christian faith this country was built on. There are times, such as after a war, the United States disengages from the country early leaving the citizens and an unprepared military to fend for themselves. Although things may have been not the best before we engaged in war, when leaving a country in an unprepared situation can result in rebel forces taking over, creating a possible more threating situation.
If America did not get involved there is a chance the conflict could have decreased but also increased due to America not being the only country to get involved in matters this is why this has become such a large scale issues du to too many interferences and also disturption and disputes between multiple country this results in country’s fighting and there being no solution to fix this major
Many people say we need to focus on our own problems; although, some of our conflicts are connected with the world! We have many trading resources throughout the globe; therefore, we should have the right to intervene in a conflict involving a country we trade with (Duggan).
However, the U.S. has been criticized for its non-intervention policy, especially with the rise in the level of violence and the spread of conflict to other areas of the country, and even to its borders with Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey.
There are many issues facing America today, that simultaneously affect those around the globe. When trying to decide what is worse for the United States of America; being too involved in the affairs of other nations troubles or allowing evil to run free, we have to carefully look at both sides. I believe that evil can be contained, but we cannot be the babysitter of other nations.
Suicide bombing is a cruel way of hurting others and yourself. Some reasons why people do suicide bombing is because of trauma, humiliation, and social exclusion. They justify it by using liberation from foreign occupation or because of their nations religion. When they bomb they attempt significance restoration, signification gain, and prevention of significant loss according to onlinelibrary (Kruglanski, Chen, Dechense, Fishman., Orehek, 2009). Suicide bombers are not really suicidal, they are psychologically normal people but they suicide bomb for a ideological cause because of social and situational factors says Cambrige (Lankford, 2014).
In recent years in the Middle East, 4,486 U.S. soldiers died in Iraq and 2,345 U.S. soldiers died in Afghanistan, and 1 million U.S. soldiers wounded. In the past years, a lot has happened in the Middle East. The US gained enemies and allies. The US should leave the Middle East and let all those countries deal with their problems on their own. Decisions that the US has made has caused many other bad things to happen. The US has to step back and give the people of the Middle East a chance to deal with things that they are facing on their own. Lastly, if something bad happened in the Middle East, the Middle Eastern countries wouldn't know what to do because the US would not be there. The US should not stay in the Middle East because involvement has had a more negative effect than a positive one.
Second, intervention results in nearly constant warfare with foreign countries. This is also testified to by our recent history. According to the site Infoplease, since World War II the U.S. has been involved in 14 major conflicts, including the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and the Iraq War. Since the 1950,67 years ago The US has spent 38 years in a state of warfare. Out of 67 years, we’ve had only 29 years of peace. If you think about 38 years of war is a lot and debt is off the roof if more wars would occur. One thing to know is none of these wars were fought in defense on the US meaning US had to
The USA has a lengthy history of foreign intervention when it is convenient for them rather than for the benefit of the country being converged upon. Regimes and dictatorships breed with practiced ease in developing—or even recovering—countries, and foreign policy is a highly disputed topic for the world’s most powerful nations. Specifically, in the US foreign intervention should not be implemented as of late, for they have proven their incapability to actually be beneficial to a nation without benefiting form it. Often armed with selfish notions, America intervenes in foreign affairs—to garner some sort of profit—before withdrawing from the country entirely. By reading political declarations and historical recounts of these dictatorships it
The United States is one of the most powerful countries in the world today. Sitting back and doing nothing is quite selfish. If the United States decides to lead the charge genocides around the world will stop. For example, in World War II when the U.S joined, Hitler was brought down quickly and it all ended. This shows that when the United States has intervened in the past it has worked.
The United States has been a super power for decades, and since America has always involved themselves in other countries' problems. Instead of isolationism, the country has practiced getting involved. Since the Monroe Presidency, America has been named the World's police force. Dispelling anarchists, and stopping coos, the united states portrays itself as the world protector. Since Monroe, some Americans have felt that isolation is the way to go, and most feel that it is our right to offer assistance. Two recent incidents, Operation Desert Storm and The War in Bosnia have allowed the United States to show off it's strength, both on the military and political level. It has also given the chance for America to evaluate it's foreign policy,
