With more and more people starting to get fed up with all of the gun control laws, the question is, should gun control laws become more lenient or should they become more strict? First point is that people kill people not the guns. Second, people should be able to use guns as they like without breaking the law plus the gun control laws don’t deter crime. Last, if guns are getting taken away then other things should be taken away too that some may not even think about.Many people think that they should be more lenient and that is a very valid side of the story. There are people who say that gun control laws should be raised because of all of the school shooting that are starting to happen. The people should not sell guns as loose as the do now, but if people would really think about it, gun control has been the same for many years and before school shootings got popular that never happened. A Nov. 26, 2013 study found that, between 1980 and 2009, Lott states, "assault weapons bans did not significantly affect murder rates at the state level" and "states with restrictions on the carrying of concealed weapons had higher gun-related murders." While gun ownership doubled in the twentieth century, the murder rate decreased. Another things is that states with the largest amount of people owning a gun have seen decreases in violent crimes. This is because people have the guns to protect themself and a criminal normally doesn't want to get into a gun fight with someone. Once the law was passed that people could own a gun, multiple-victim shooting have declined about 84% in those states.(Pro&Con Arguments) Gun control laws are also taking away people's safety. Say a criminal walks into a person's house with a gun and the other person doesn't because it is against the law, is it fair ,to be in that situation without something to protect
