Experiencing those jarring, teeth-rattling divots in the road may soon be a thing of the past once a redesigned, household-name vehicle hits the road later this year.
Last month, at the world famous Detroit Auto Show, the Ford Motor Company revealed details on one of its best-selling models, the Ford Fusion. Scheduled to be available for purchase this summer, its newest version is the 2017 Ford Fusion Sport. While the revitalized model boasts 325 horsepower and a V6 turbo engine, automotive enthusiasts say the biggest takeaway from the scheduled launch is its high performance suspension system, which allows the model to practically "jump" over potholes, multiple news outlets reported, including Fox News.
Apparently, the sedan's suspension system has tiny sensors - 12 in all - that are able to detect when the vehicle is approaching potholes, those gaping divots in road surfaces that develop over

While potholes are usually found most abundantly in cold weather climates, no part of the country is immune to them. Road safety officials traditionally ask motorists to report potholes to their local Department of Motor Vehicles so that public utility workers can patch them up as quickly as possible.
How exactly do potholes even form?
The pothole predicament wouldn't be so problematic if it weren't for the weather - and like a bottlenecked traffic jam in the middle of rush hour, there's no getting around Mother Nature. Potholes are a function of the changeable nature of temperatures and seasonal patterns. Whenever it rains, water collects, adding to the wetness that's already found in the ground. When the excess moisture enters some of the microscopic cracks in road pavement, dipping temperatures leads to freezing. That liquid turns into a solid and expands, just like an ice cube does or a soda can left in the freezer for too

Ford has increased their advertising to new drivers or parents of new drivers explaining why their new models are some of the best cars available for new drivers to use.
In an all-too-common scenario, an expanse of asphalt pavement disappears under a blanket of snow and ice. When the thaw arrives, the property owner is shocked to discover that potholes have formed in the pavement. Buried under the winter storm, the pavement was not even bearing traffic, so what caused the potholes to develop overnight? The answer to that question can be found by examining how potholes form.
Every winter, 22 millions tons of road salt, approximately 137 pounds per person, are used by U.S. officials to melt the ice on the roads during cold weather. By depressing the freezing point of the water, salt melts the ice left on roads during snowstorms, making roads safer to drive. Applying salt to roads has now become a standard for fighting snow, due to its low-cost and effectiveness.

In Pennsylvania there is a lot of cold weather and snow. When it is cold outside the pavement in the streets or on paths through friendly neighbor hoods crack. These cracks do not make the pavement un-ridable or drivable. Unfortunately, it doesn’t make it very unsafe for someone without expertise in riding in these conditions. The roads and and pathways need to be redone or refilled in many communities to offer a safer and more efficient way of exercising or even safer driving roads.
As all long-time residents know, Michigan winters can be brutal. However, even during a "normal" winter, you can expect average temperatures that are below freezing for three months out of the year and snowfall totals ranging between 44 inches and 55 inches. Keeping your pavement clear throughout the winter typically involves frequent applications of salt or chemical deicers as well as repeated snowplowing. Between the freeze/thaw cycle, the potential damage from snowplows and the corrosive actions of deicing materials, your asphalt pavement can take a beating. If you want to minimize the damage that winter can cause, you should make sure that you have cracks repaired before the arrival of cold weather.
In the winter, your parking lot will be subjected to freezing temperatures and snow. When the temperature fluctuates, the pavement will contract and expand. If there are cracks in the asphalt, water will penetrate the pavement. Frozen will water will exert pressure on the asphalt, and the pressure will erode the base. When the ice melts, the parking lot will sag, and the water will cause more damage to the base.
The Ford Flex is an outlier among utility vehicles — one part wagon and second part SUV. This mid-size model’s uniqueness means it has no direct competitor, although its three-row, seven-passenger space puts it head-to-head with SUVs from Nissan, Chevrolet, Dodge and others.
With electronic control over the torque, the limited slip delivers instant traction as needed. This maximizes the torque to your advantage. Traction performance is offered in five tuned modes to meet the needs of every drive. In order to reduce weight and deliver better handling, GM made the front suspension and cradle from aluminum. They added a MacPherson strut, and it has a double-pivot. Whether you need competitive traction or driving in the rain, you can set the traction you need. One stop to a Pueblo Cadillac dealer serving Colorado Springs will give you an idea of just how exciting the handling is on this
Driveway & Sidewalk Trouble: When a clog prevents water to flow smoothly through the gutters, it can overflow into your driveway and get absorbed in the cracks. In cold weather, the water in these tiny pockets expands upon freezing, and widens them significantly. Consequently, your driveway appears broken down and requires heavy repairs. Additionally, if the misdirected water freezes on your sidewalks and driveways, it can become a potential safety hazard.
A highly popular muscle and sports car, the Ford Mustang functions as a daily driver, weekend warrior, and a show winning work of mechanical art. Whether someone just needs a basic transportation to get from point A to point B, an eight second quarter-mile beast, or a show stopping work of power and beauty, Ford has produced a Mustang for every need.
February of 2015 gave the upstate of South Carolina sled rides, ice snowmen, and icicles. It gave the school district of Pickens county over a week in total, of no school and delays. Nevertheless, there were still tragedies such as power outages, car wrecks, and furthering catastrophes as a result of the brutal weather. Ultimately, the chance of having a car wreck everywhere doubles at risk and danger when there happens to be poor weather. Safety abides as a precaution the driving public takes in icy weather, however accidents still may happen.
This year’s spring is expected to have more potholes than recent years. This is largely due to the large amount of Chicago’s temperature fluctuation this winter season.
