Collaboration is when a student contributes to a group’s joint intellectual efforts through work ethic, leadership, and service. The artifacts I’ve chosen will come from my Honors English class and my Physical Science class. The purpose of the bottle rocket project was to display our understanding of velocity, and determine what factor could keep the rocket in the air the longest. The purpose of the book club project was to display our critical thinking skills and effectively
Furthermore, each team creates strategic goals that help them achieve organization mission and visions. Just as in sports, teams aim to meet their strategic goals through collaboration. Teamwork is the product of two or more persons working together to accomplish a given goal. Take for instance the Egyptian Pyramids. However, when men bond together and put their efforts to work toward a common goal, they can
When Working well with others and making sure everyone stays on task shows collaboration. I've learned collaboration while being on a basketball team i had to work with other on the court to get the play to go in motion. When playing sports for me you have to collaborate with others to make sure you get to the goal to score a shot. One time the play unfolded in a basketball game and i examined where everyone was and i moved to a spot where i had an open shot and i signaled for the ball and took the shot. The True Definition of Courage George Washington was one of the most courageous people known to American history, not because he was frightened, but because he decided to fight Britain in the Revolutionary War. He was outmanned, undersupplied, and faced death, but he continued to believe in the freedom of America. Similarly, the novel To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee demonstrates how the true definition of courage is not the lack of fear but rather perseverance and morality while pressed by difficulties and possible consequences. Ms. Dubose, a morphine addict, successfully broke her addiction, ignoring the consequences of pain conveys this definition the most. It is also revealed in the movie Finding Nemo by Pixar Animations, a story about
The two words most often used, ”cooperative and collaboration,” can easily be both applicable to the United States of America and other countries today, and are still often used to describe contract negotiations for the United States of America as well as other countries. (Barnardin & Russell, 2013).
Collaboration within groups allows individuals to use their own specific ideas and own talents to succeed when they needed it the most. When succeeding in a collaborative environment an individual gains the ability of communication that is growing in the world today. The school system used to be completely individual based with little to no feel of a collaborative environment. However, schools are now beginning to understand the benefits of losing the standard approach to school and is now leading the world to a collaborative environment. While working in a collaborative environment the members of these groups usually gain insight on what they are effective at and what they are no effective at.
The bottom line to working with other organizations in collaboration, is considering how to work toward a common objective. Therefore, each party has to come to agreement about everything from the mission, the sources of revenue, how that money will be spent,

However, the economic advantages to the colonist have been argued to come at the cost of the economies of the colonies. Those that argue that colonisation was economically detrimental to the colonies often point to the short-term impact of deindustrialisation and the long-term impacts of inequality and the inability of colonies to pursue development policies, that the European powers had on their colonies. Deindustrialisation of colonies was caused by the industrialisation of the European powers which shifted the colonies comparative advantage from manufacturing to agriculture. In addition to this, colonies had to export primary products to pay for capital imports form their metropolitan state (Clark, 2007, p.315), further shifting their comparative advantage towards agriculture as they increased their productivity in the primary sector to pay for more imports of industrial goods. This source is an academic book and can be taken at face value to the author's use of good academic practice. Due to deindustrialisation, the Indian economy shrunk from generating 23% of world GDP to a third world country (Tharoor, 2017), clearly showing that colonisation was detrimental to the colonies as not only did it prevent growth through industrialisation it leads to economic decline. Whilst this source is a newspaper article rather than a more reliable medium, its information is in line with other reliable sources that demonstrate the deindustrialisation of many colonies, thus its
I would collaborate with the unit manager to design the team. We will select diverse champions with different backgrounds, experiences, skills and qualifications. After forming the team, using the similar assessment tools, I will assess the members. This is to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses. I would provide the team with the clear idea about the project, purposes, activities included, goals and the timeline to achieve the goals. Depending on the strengths and weaknesses of the members, I will assign the job to the team. The purpose of the activities planned is to make sure the staff are in compliance with the existing policies and protocols of the unit. The team will do chart audits and tracking of the staff activities to ensure the

Aristotle is credited with stating the whole is greater than the simple sum of its parts. This also represents the definition of synergy. Synergy is the unified working of the sum to create something greater than the individual components. For instance a car engine is comprised of an engine block, belts, hoses, spark plugs, and other miscellaneous components. Individually these components are not going to propel a vehicle however when put together and fed some fuel the components create the oomph needed to support transportation. In sports and business the cooperation and collaboration of people in organizations is no different. The people within these groups must be working in a unified manner toward a common set of goals and objectives. This common set of goals and objective provides the end point so that a team of people have the necessary oomph, to achieve outcomes that would otherwise be unattainable by a single individual.
