The princess’s family is royalty, so they live in a castle. Since it is her first time being outdoors, she wanted to go to the woods. Her mother or father didn’t know she was going outside and the princess didn’t care if her parents were worried because they never even let her go outside her own front door. After all it was her castle. Since the castle and her parents were fast asleep the princess took off into the woods. She did find out many answers to her questions that her parents didn’t answer. The first thing she found was a fence that stretched from one side of the woods to the other with a gate in the middle of it. At the gate stood a night guard. He seemed spooky, but he was rather friendly to the princess. Before they properly met, they encounter Old Man Cemetery who came to see why the princess was out of her castle. “Why are you out of your castle, Princess?” exclaimed Old man Cemetery. The princess just wanted to go outside; she didn’t see any harm in it. “I just wanted to leave for a change. I can make my own choices.” said the Princess nervously. …show more content…
There was a long pause. Before he left, he told the princess his name. "The name's Robert Cemetery. If you need anything, just call out my name." Then he disappeared into the fog. Now both the night guard and the princess knew he was magical. When the old man went away the night guard told the princess his name, which is Rucell, so the princess replied with "Nice to meet you Rucell. My name is princess Sue." In the background, a giant castle looms. Barely visible on the horizon, there is a very old castle with foliage almost completely covering it. *************** Narrator: It had been 100 years since Maleficent had cast her terrible spell and it was almost forgotten that there was a princess locked in a castle, cursed to never sleep again. Prince Stefan had been only told stories from a young age, that a beautiful princess was waiting for her true love to save her.
Should college athletes receive pay for what they do? You’ve probably seen this pop-up a million times, and thought about it. You’ve probably figured why should they? Aren’t they already receiving benefits like a full-ride scholarship? But then an athlete will get caught up in a scandal like Johnny Manziel, where he signed footballs for money.. then you think well why shouldn’t he receive that money? And you then contradict yourself. But shouldn’t they receive money from outside sources, and then the benefits from the school. Not get a salary from the school just the benefits they’re already receiving, and money from sponsors. Wouldn’t that make sense considering the money they’re making the school? According to an ESPN report Alabama University makes $123,769,841 in total revenue from sports. (College Athletics Revenue) Yet an athlete from Alabama can only receive benefits from a scholarship.. That doesn’t seem right. You would want to be payed when the opportunity arises. It should only be fair these players get a piece of the revenue pie, after all they are the ones creating the revenue. The players should be getting benefits to allow them to pay for basic college needs, grow up to be responsible adults, and allow the NCAA to thrive. This would allow for the NCAA to truly thrive as a sporting association.
Doing something new can be terrifying and freighting. The hardest thing that I’ve had trouble with is doing things in front of people. When onlookers stare at me it makes me feel awkward. The summer of two thousand and eleven, I made the volleyball team at Covington High School so, that meant this would put me in front of a lot of people. My team name was The Lady Lions. The Lady Lions and I have practiced all summer long for our first game. Unfortunately the first Monday of school was my first game. Monday’s arrival at school came fast! The game was at the end of the school day but, the more I thought about it the more nervous it was. This was a new situation for me because I’ve never been in front of a crowd that big.
The Princess went to her mother for some help. Her mother told her of a place that stored water that if
Standing in the center of a larger arena was a young youth whose faith was in the balances. Spectators raise steely on all sides directly in front of him awaiting his death. In front of him was two massive doors behind one were life and bliss, behind another lies a man-eating beast.
The princess wondered which path to take. “What should I do?” Princess Ella muttered to herself. She decided to stay in the smaller Gold and Silver Orchard, and explore and enjoy herself while she was there. Suddenly Princess Ella found that she was very tired, and she lay down to take a nap under a shady tree. She slept for days!

One day, however, while walking along the seemingly familiar tangled paths on his way back to the kingdom, the Prince became lost. The patterns of dappled sunlight from the overhead canopy that he used as his map to navigate by kept changing their shapes, so as to mislead him farther into the woods. For, despite the fact that the old oak trees were the Prince’s companions, the forest itself was still an ancient, wild thing and, as with any beast, it liked to tease its prey. The Prince wandered until the sun fell into slumber and the stars from which he had gained his personage came out to dance. The copses that had once been a bright and soothing force, now held a darkness that the Prince had only ever heard of from the old oaks’ tales. Regardless of the terror that the night had struck all the way to his very core, the Prince had been taught to be brave and so, he continued to walk through the pitch until, by chance, he happened to come across a small cottage.
One night while the king was sleeping peacefully, the queen went to the doors of the locked realm with their now eight-year-old daughter. The princess stood next to her mother, afraid of the door her father always warned her not to go near.
Digging her fingernails into her palms, she stared at the exit doors. If she fled from the Hall right now, that might cause enough confusion to allow her to dash out of the castle, barrel into the woods, and hide. She’d toss herself into an old hunting pit and blanket herself with leaves. She might have to remain there for a day or so, but eventually, the knights would give up looking for her and she could escape Camelot. Because becoming Queen, sole sovereign of this kingdom, was ludicrous. Her husband
One of the tour guides appeared and began rounding up the guests. The mystery girl sprang up to speak to the man and woman. The woman smiled, nodded and handed the girl her camera. The family arranged themselves on a bench, and Mystery Girl snapped a picture. Taking the camera, the man thanked her, and guided his family to the line of people entering the castle. Mystery Girl fell into step with them, bouncing with a child-like eagerness and chatting with the younger girl. As if she were one of the family, Mystery Girl followed them inside, just as bold as she could be.
Once there was a fair king named Liam. He was riding back from a trip on a cold harsh day when he noticed a girl being abandoned by her parents. The king thought, "since I don't have an heir to the throne, she could become it." Then Liam walked over and held out his hand to the girl and put her on his horse. Once Liam climbed on his mighty steed, the little girl told him her name was Athena and she was five years old. Then he rode back to his castle where his wife awaited him.
Without the slightest hesitation, he went to the door on the right, and opened it. Before the gate had even reached a foot off the ground the young lover, heartbroken, watched four frantic feet pacing back and forth and heard a deep, rhythmic panting. His mind frenziedly raced with dozens of thoughts: How could you do this to me? My dear lover, do you care but only for yourself? Someone must have forced her to tell me to choose the right door! What sort of fool am I to fall in love with the fairest lady in the kingdom?! What am I to do now? Run The tiger steadily stepped out of his dark cage, allowing the afternoon sun to warm his striped fur. He gazed first at the masses seated breathlessly around the stadium
“The Lady, or The Tiger” by Mr. Frank R. Stockton has compelled readers for as long as time. This story ends with all wondering, so which is it, the delicate and fair young lady or the savage, fierce, wild-eyed tiger standing behind the door. This makes us ponder whether human heart chooses love or jealously. Within this essay, there will be proof that it is the stunning young woman behind the door. Although there is evidence proving that it is the tiger, in a sense there is more evidence stating that the elegant and barbaric princess allowed her real lover to continue living. To begin let us start with the small dwindling points that the tiger, lye behind the door.
In the novel, The White Tiger, by Aravind Adiga the main character, is Balram, one of the children in the “darkness” of India. Adiga sheds a new light on the poor of India, by writing from the point of view of a man who was at one time in the “darkness” or the slums of India and came into the “light” or rich point of view in India. Balram’s job as a driver allows him to see both sides of the poverty line in India. He sees that the poor are used and thrown away, while the rich are well off and have no understanding of the problems the poor people must face. The servants are kept in a mental “Rooster Coop” by their masters. The government in India supposedly tries to help the poor, but if there is one thing Adiga proves in The White Tiger,
