The modern high fat diet commonly referred to as a ketogenic diet can be achieved in a manner not unlike a normal carbohydrate diet. Magnesium is used to make proteins and regulate nerve function. Both magnesium and potassium deficiency can cause the development of psychological conditions. Finally fiber helps the body keep itself clean. Though one may find that despite many excellent alternative sources of required nutrients, the foods that one could prepare may seem very foreign to what one has known. It is important to know that lacking any of these materials can result in serious side effects.
