Abstract. The microwave oven is much more than just for cooking foods. This paper will briefly discuss the history and technologies as byproduct since the microwaves oven’s accidental invention by Percy Spencer while briefly illuminating some of the subsequent advancements and future concepts or applications of the microwave use in navigational, medicinal and in wireless communications. The Microwave oven has become such an integral part of our lives that we hardly notice its presence. The microwave quietly sits in every home, every restaurant, every convenience store and in college dorms The Microwave oven has become such an integral part of our lives that we hardly notice its presence. It is so much a part of the kitchen that basic housing rentals, not only come standard with stovetop and refrigerator but yes, a microwave oven. The microwave is as essential to our daily lives as the coffeepot. it is one of those technologies like the coffee pot, that we rarely see how important this nifty invention is until we are without it. 1941, while working for the Raytheon Company, Percy Spencer discovered a more efficient way to manufacture magnetrons. This discovery led to significant advances in radar sonar, navigation, communication and undoubtedly his most popular invention, the microwave oven. Experiments showed that microwave heating could raise the internal temperature of many foods far more rapidly than a conventional oven. In 1954 the first Raytheon commercial

You should not put sparky in the microwave because you might damage your expensive microwaves. Nowadays, microwaves are commonly used due to their rapidity in getting our food or drinks warm. However, most people are ignorant of the fact that not all objects can get into our microwaves, it does not matter how expensive or cheap the microwave is.
Archievements Invented the Franklin stove Glass harmónica Bifocal Glasses gave electricity positive and negative charges Benjamin Franklin was born in Boston in 1706. He was considered one of the founding fathers of the United States. The main reason we should celebrate Franklin is because was a scientist who developed several inventions, one of which was Franklin's stove. This was the first iron stove used inside the houses and was the model for new inventions such as the oven.
In his days Benjamin Franklin was the most innovative man on earth. In 1742, Franklin invented the Franklin Stove, a fireplace like invention that provided more heat than the average fireplace. In 1753, Franklin created the Lightning Rod. This Rod was very useful for houses.
He soon was recognized and got a job as a physicist. He was recruited by MIT to work on a project. When he was working, he invented the first
Michael faraday was born on September 22 1791 and became one of the most influential scientists in history having received very little education since he was from a poor family. Michael Faraday became famous for having invented the electric motor. Faraday made oe of the most significant discoveries in the atomic theory. His discovery led people to the idea that atoms had an electrical component. Faraday conducted an experiment to prove this idea. In his experiment Faraday placed two opposite electrons in a solution of water containing a dissolved compound. One of the elements accumulated on one electrode of the dissolved compound and the other element deposited on the opposite electrode. To Faraday it was clear that electrical forces were responsible for the joining of atoms in compounds.
During a study done by German Scientist Heinrich Hertz, he discovered radio waves. In 1985 Guglielmo Marconi used radio waves to create the first wireless telegraph which is now known as the radio. His invention was first done in his parents attic. Marconi used radio waves to transmit Morse Code and it worked. The Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to Guglielmo Marconi and Karl Ferdinand Braun for the development of the wireless telegraph. Marconi and Braun shared the Nobel Prize equally.
Thomas Midgley tremendously impacted modern times. He had over 100 patents in his lifetime. He was a phenomenal problem solver and a remarkable scientist who perfected the inventions from many other minds and created contraptions that are now an essential part of our everyday lives. He began his inventing at an early age and had a successful career. His work was appreciated by the ordinary family for bringing them such useful inventions as cars and refrigerators. Despite all of the things on his lengthy and impressive résumé he has been labeled “The Worst Inventor In History”.
The microwave oven was discovered due to Percy Spencer's mistake. In the story, "How A Melted Bar Of Chocolate Changed Our Kitchens" the final line states "All thanks to Percy Spencer and his mistaken snack. " His mistake made a huge discovery that is very useful to people today. Not only that, but it also provides proof that mistakes can be key to discovery. Another, accidental discovery was gravity.
To begin the hovercraft was dreamt up by inventor Christopher Cockrell of England. Cockrell put the idea to paper in 1955 and originally tested his idea using an empty KiteKat cat food tin inside a coffee tin, an industrial air blower and a pair of kitchen scales. After creating a full scale model they were produced and used for military purposes originally by England and later by the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War. Another invention of the 1950’s was the microwave, the microwave was first sold for consumer use in 1954 and sold by the Raytheon Co. The microwave helped families make quick meals and started a wave of T.V. dinners in the 1960’s when the microwave was a household essential. Although the microwave soon became a household item it was not always so popular, many feared that microwaves were unsafe. Even though people feared about the microwave’s safety the microwave soon became a big part of American food culture from the 1950’s until
Most people use microwaves everyday. A lot of people actually wonder how microwaves work. For example, radio waves and radiation, microwaves use radio waves and radiation to heat foods (How Microwave Cooking Works, 2015). Furthermore, radio waves heat food by getting water molecules out of food (How Cooking Works, 2015). In addition, the history of a microwave started off very interesting. For instance, there was someone whose name was Dr.Percy Spencer, he accidently discovered the microwave (Clevenger 2015). More importantly, Dr.Percy had a chocolate bar in his pocket, he was testing a new vacuum and then the radiation and heat from the vacuum melted the chocolate (Clevenger, 2015). In the end, microwaves are something that is very useful
Microwaves are a fast and easy way of heating things up, but most people don’t know the dangers in microwaves. “Electromagnetic radiation that is foreign to the body, such as microwaves, can disrupt the body’s healthy functioning” (Pitman and Porter Bioresonance Theory of Energetic Healing). “Microwaves are a form of electromagnetic energy, like light waves or radio waves, and occupy a part of the electromagnetic spectrum of power, or energy. Microwaves are very short waves of electromagnetic energy that travel at the speed of light.” (Wayne and Newell). “A microwave distorts and deforms the molecules of whatever food source you put in it” (Why did the Russians Ban an Appliance Found in 90% of American Homes?). The
Probably the most dramatic advance was the bread machine. This product has revolutionized the way we bake bread. The bread machine takes away all the work. You simply pour the ingredients into the machine, then turn it on and in a few hours you have hot, homemade bread. Most machines even have a timer so that when you walk in the door after a hard day’s work, you will arrive to enticing scents of fresh baked bread. This is all possible because of the invention of a computer chip called the Fuzzy Logic microchip which can “automatically regulate cooking times and temperatures” (see item in Appendix). This chip is also starting to appear in electric steamers and rice cookers as well as bread machines (Newhart, 2006, p. 85).
The Microfridge, Is a devised electronic circuitry that shuts off power to the refrigerator whenever the microwave oven is switched on and pulls less than 20 amps of current, is a 1+1>2 device which can offer those who are in concern of using electronic appliances safely like college students and retailers a safer, more convenient and inexpensive combination of microwave and fridge.
On this blog I tried to make my posts useful to the reader because I know not everyone loves cooking as much as I do as well as some just do not know how to cook. Recently something was announced that I think is new to the cooking appliance world. There is good news and sadly some bad news for people who are trying to find easier ways of making delicious meals at home but do not have the skills or mindset to make a meal off the top of their head with what they have at home. Hint, There is a new surprising kitchen appliance out from a well known company that claims it might help you in the kitchen.
